Friedman's Shoes

Buyer beware. I ordered online, paid for 2 day shipping and it's been weeks and still no order. I've been in contact with them multiple times, not easy getting a call back. They sent the Shoes to the wrong address. I asked that they refund the cost of having them shipped from the place they sent them to me. They refunded half the cost. Guess if you are not a famous person (just a single mother with a child that has large feet) then you are not important to them. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, tried to support a small business. But atlas, they don't want to make it right. Almost $300 on Shoes for my 12 year old. Tragic.

Being size 19/20 this is the only place I can regularly buy shoes from and thank god! They have amazing shoes, great quality and trendy styles even for my size. I honestly don’t know where I would be without this crew, very grateful. I live in Alberta, Canada and they are very accommodating for returns for shoes that don’t fit. I’ve also been to the store, they get an idea of what your looking for and pull a whole swath of shoes try. Truly a great experience!

Need AC fix I had some out of town guess and they were looking for some shoes and they said the store smells really bad and they need some AC

I travelled from NY to this store because they have size 15. I was sceptical of the store due to its location but decided to give it a shot. I was very pleased with their selection. Their shoes are all leather and mostly hand made in Italy. I ended up buying 5 pairs!!! I will definitely make another trip down in the future to purchase more.

Stumbled across the store and am glad I did! Varied selection, seem incredibly high quality for the price point, and excellent service. Bought a pair and will be back!

If you wear a women's size 10.5 shoe and up, this store is for you. Nice selection a bit on the pricey side but they're all leather which is great. They have good sales in store. I was able to get 2 pairs of very comfortable shoes. I'm a happy customer.

Very little store front in downtown across from construction. Kinda unassuming very cluttered and Dusty inside. But that being said staff was amazing set my son down look at his feet and brought out box after box for him to try on and helped him decide on a hiking boot. They could have sold him a more expensive boot that he liked but they listen to his needs and lost $40 but gave him the boot that he needed for what he was going to do. We basically traveled five and a half hours for a size 15 wide boot but I do not regret the decision to go to Friedman's. They know their stuff

Fantastic customer service and great selection of large shoe sizes! If you or someone you know needs to find cool shoes in an unusual shoe size I would try Friedman's shoes. And if it does not work out then they are so great about working with you to find the right shoe (even over the phone if you aren't able to shop in store)!

Hands down, they are the best in the business! Great selection for larger sized shoes.

Friedman's is always a good trip for my husband and myself. This past trip we brought along a few family members and they made some purchases as well. My husband was like a kid in a candy store with the number of selections available to him. Friedman's specializes in large shoes for large feet and cater to a demographic of people with few options in the standard shoe store at least in our experience. The staff is laidback yet attentive. They are a family owned business and they really know their stuff when it comes to shoes. We are already planning our next trip back over the summer from Florida.

I do understand what this place used to be. My father told me what it was like back in the 1970s, when he was in his 20s and just moved to Atlanta. But today, the selection is terrible.

Made a purchase on their online store on August 30th, someone named Brett told me in late September their shipment from Keen didn't have my shoes and the next shipment was November 15th. A long time to wait for shoes I thought but I said no problem I'll wait till the 15th. The 15th comes and goes, finally I email Brett a week after my shoes were supposed to be in and someone else answers me, a Nicole who claims to be customer service. She says Brett handles all of this stuff you need to call, funny thing is he's CC: on the email and could respond at anytime but chooses not to. I call and he isn't in of course, apparently he only works 2 or 3 days a week. After talking to Nicole on the phone instead of Brett she tells me this happens frequently and has lots of frustrated customers. She says even though it says we have them in stock on the website they never do and "don't order off the website unless you call us first". So what's the point of having a website then?! Not a great way to do business. After raising a stink on email and the phone I finally got my money back. I've yet to hear back from Brett. WILL. NEVER. DO. BUSINESS. WITH. THEM. AGAIN. Horrible.

Located in an unassuming building near the Atlanta division of the U.S. 11th District court is an institution of better men's footwear. Known for years around the NFL and NBA as "The" Place to buy dress shoes in the country. They have three floors of shoes and the first two floors are more geared toward the regular shopper while the third floor is more directed toward the man who wants to make a fashion statement. They have everything from conservative cut cap toe and wingtips to completely impractical alligator, crocodile, snake and ostrich shoes in a rainbow of colors with matching belts. Everything from the Polo field to a Pimp Convention. Check out the pic of my black Mezlans !

I have never come across a worst business than this. I made a $300 purchase from their catalog and never received the items. Checked my order online and the order was there but no shipping information. I contacted the store to cancel my order. They gave me a refund of $130. I then emailed them as to why would my refund be for $130 when the order was never shipped? My refund should be $300, was told by Brett Teilhaber, via email, that he would look into it asap. I have yet to hear from him. I will continue to call, write and contact the Better Business Bureau each and every day until I get my stolen money back.

Friedman's has been my favorite shoe store since I grew up and learned to understand the importance of men's footwear, and it remains the standard by which I judge all shoe stores. When I still lived on Atlanta's east side, I would never think of going anywhere else. Now that I've moved around from Fredericksburg, Virginia, to Portland, Oregon, I still haven't found another shoe store as fantastic as Friedman's. (And I adore the fact that it was featured so prominently in the first season of _The Walking Dead_.) I try to visit this place every time I'm back in Atlanta, and I've purchased four pairs of shoes here over the past few years. Every purchase has been a steal as far as I am concerned. I still wear each of these pairs regularly and receive compliments in abundance for them, including my gorgeous white Mezlans that I wore to my wedding--a $300+ pair of shoes which they discounted down to $70 due to an exceedingly minor defect. I love the old-school help. I love this awesome historic block of Mitchell Street. And I also love the fact that they don't merely carry gigantic shoes. I wear a 8.5-9.0 and have always have plenty to choose from. In addition, they also sell the best and most beautiful shoe trees I've ever seen. I own a pair for each of my fancy dress shoes.

My husband has size 17 feet and finding shoes can be incredibly difficult. I always have to resort to ordering online. I found Friedman's and they have been so great to work with and have some of the best shoe selections for big shoe sizes I've seen. They have fantastic customer service and I highly recommend them! Even if shopping out of state!

How disappointing to find on this last visit the limited number of Donald J. Pliners. Also, there were NO Bacco Buccis to be found and for me, I can't see a reason to return. This has been my first stop on visits to Atlanta since 2000 and to see my only comfortable options be Hush Puppies was a real turn-off. Don't wear hard bottomed shoes but not about to sacrifice comfort for style so I will have to find another store that carries what I need. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

A place like no other, Brett T. and his entire family team will take great care of you and your feet. Yes it's located Downtown but where else can you go and have SHAQ getting shoes next to you? Going back this week as I need a new pair of loafers that are a fraction of the price of my old Ferragamo's. Thumb's and Feet Up!

And iconic store, a landmark in Atlanta! There is no other place to get shoes with so much variety and style. I drive over an hour to get there because of the service and the family atmosphere that you can only get at Friedman's Shoes. That's why it's not surprising that on any given day you'll see some celebrity or pro athlete sitting next to you getting fitted for shoes. Love these guys!!!

Just want to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to Marty for the recent purchase I made from Friedman's Shoes. Marty went above and beyond the call of duty by getting in touch and informing me of a pair of shoes I may be interested in, needless to say as always, he was on point ... thanks again Marty. I live in New Orleans La. and have been a long time customer of Friedman's and Marty has been my salesperson the entire time, (what a pleasure) as a matter of fact sometimes when I would visit the ATL I would stopped over just to say hi to Bruce (owner), Marty and the rest of the team, everyone always make me feel welcome! Hi, I was in Atlanta the other night and I decided to head down to the CNN building and downtown. I am fairly familiar with the area, but you never know when you missed something. I walked by a store called Friedman's Shoes and decided to do a u turn and head in. They had nice displays on the outside. The building is a little old but don't let that fool you. Unfortunately, for me, it is more of a mans store. Even a further let down, is that I have small feet. A size 6, would you believe it. I tried on some size 7's in the Pelle Moda brand but they were to big. The sales people were all well groomed and quite helpful. I felt very comfortable in the store. I guess this is a pretty famous men's shoe store from what I heard in the hotel. Maybe next time I'll bring one of my male friends with me. I am sure they would like it just fine.

It starts with the warm welcome to the rich history on the walls...then we get to the shoes. A wide variety from casual to dress shoes.
