Looking for a perfect day out of the city with bikingdistance? This is the perfect spot!! Beautiful and well maintained open air museum with typical old swedish style houses. Perfect place to relax, explore and have some fika! Explore & try out Swedish life during their event days at all seasons (check their webpage). Especially popular for midsommar with traditional music and dancing performances. Highly recommended for a "bike-day out of the city". Also kids can easily bike there from the city center. Can be well combined with a visit of Gamla Uppsala with viking graves & old church, a coffee stop at Odinsborg and/or a jump into the nearby bath into the Fyrisån (very popular on hot days and perfect for families). Everything is just around the corner and within walking distance from Disagården.

Interesting place, free to visit, good for kids. In the afternoon best to visit.

Wonderful recreation of a C19th Swedish farm, made up of relocated buildings, some dating back to C16th. Cute native farm animals: pigs, cows, chickens, sheep. Information sheets in a number of languages, including English. Guided tour available in Summer. Toilets on site. Free. Easy walk to the Viking King Burial Mounds circuit from here.

A wonderful museum with original farm buildings from 19th century Uppland many of which are open to be explored by visitors. There are also several old breeds of livestock and a garden with plants that were important for everyday life back then. Everything is in great condition and the employees seem very passionate about maintaining the site and sharing their knowledge. We came during a thunderstorm and didn't expect there to be a guided tour, but even though we were just two people, we received a great and very informative tour anyway. A huge thank you to our guide, it really was amazingly informative and felt like the past came alive for a little while. So all in all, Disagården is definitely worth a visit as is all of Gamla Uppsala.

Definitely go there if you visit Uppsala during Summer. There are small houses that are maintained pretty well. There are different furniture and tools in the houses that makes you feel like you are in another century. There is a lot of nature, green and animals. The entrance is free and the staff that works there is incredibly polite and lovely! I would say that this is a smaller version of Skansen in Stockholm, however I loved it even more!

We had close relatives from abroad who visited us for a week in August 2018. We gave them a our of Uppsala including the Old Uppsala. They found Disagården very interesting among other things in the Old Uppsala.
