It was one of the most mouth watering food experiences. Fries with truffle was something else! It is best to go with someone and order different things to share. The drinks were extraordinary and high quality. The ambiance and design of the place is very sophisticated. The only downside was we felt as if we were being rushed to get out. However, this place is a must try!

The restaurant was wonderfully decorated. The atmosphere was great - music playing what you'd expect Drake. Was lucky enough to sit in the middle tables with huge comfortable chairs. The food was a lot less thrilling. Although the presentation for each dish looked great it lacked flavour. The ceviche was by far the best thing I ate but nothing thrilling. The tomato salad was too sofa and the burrata was underwhelming. The fries with truffles were what you'd expect. The short rib was soft but nothing out of this world. Loved the space and feel the food needs to get up to par with the atmosphere.

There are MANY better places to eat in Toronto. Sursur Lee, I expect much better from you. My friend and I went for Winterlicious, after a glass of wine and a coffee my bill was $95 (with an 18% tip because you give 20% as the first tipping option). That's insane. Food was okay, but not memorable. We both started with the Green Onion Pancake with Duck Confit. The duck was beautiful but lost and overwhelmed by the goat cheese, perhaps a creme fraiche would have been a better option, because the duck should have been the star. For my main, I had the Caponata sicilliano creamy polenta, the polenta was luke warm while everything else on the plate was hot - made for a weird combination, I didn't taste the lemon in the dish, the crispy chickpeas added no value to it either, the pine nuts in it were fine for the crunch. My friend had the Grilled Seafood Duo and am not sure on her full take on it, so I won't comment. Lastly, dessert was a trio of Shortbread Pumpkin Tart, Coriander Mousse and Caramelized Banana and Jack fruit Wonton. The shortbread was abysmal, Scottish grandmothers are rolling over in their graves and the pumpkin was just flavourless. The Coriander Mousse was surprisingly good, but nothing that I would go home and try to recreate myself or probably order again. The Jack fruit wonton was good, it was like an apple turnover in terms of crispy texture and a great pop of tart fruit. Service was okay, nothing exceptional and nothing that would differ from hitting up your local neighborhood restaurant. The decor inside is different, but didn't quite get all the metal crosses everywhere (is the restaurant haunted?). The music suddenly got very loud in the restaurant and I never understand this - you're a restaurant not a night club, I would like to talk with my company without having to yell at them. Overall, I would go somewhere else to eat and spend your cash, Fring's isn't worth it. If you're really needing to hit up a Sursur Lee restaurant, head to Luckee, the food is better.

I had the lobster and braised beef poutine with bechamel sauce and gruyere cheese. It was rich! The cheese was amazing, the beef was soft tender and gummy. Plate was filling and beautiful. But the place is way overpriced 😒 also I thought that bread pudding dessert was disgusting.

The restaurant looks really nice, very avant-garde. Low lights, great for cocktails alone. The food is really good, with a twist, unique combinations which I enjoy. The sangria cocktail was amazing, highly recommended.

Good service and the food was awesome. We had a private area and the staff made sure our drinks were always filled and that we were satisfied. We had a fixed menu that sampled quite a bit of their choices. The pics are of the cheeseburger spring rolls and the chicken and waffles. Both were absolutely delicious! Would definitely visit again!

The food is surprisingly better than I expected. Really enjoyed the octopus, however the meatballs were overwhelmingly sweet. The service was quiet disappointing, the hostess was super pushy and mistaken our dessert order and then told us we can finish it (so we did trying not to make a big deal) and ended up paying for something we didn't order.

For a restaurant of this caliber, it was quite disappointing to find that 3 of our 4 dishes weren't seasoned with salt. We ordered the tomato and burratta salad, the gnocchi, the crab cakes, and the fried chicken and Hong Kong waffle. The fried chicken by far was the best dish and would gladly return to just eat that. The Aubrey Palmer cocktail was also the highlight of the restaurant. My suggestion for Fring's would be to come for a drink and have a small bite to eat, which would only be the chicken and waffles.
