I ordered large fries with sauce. The fries were average, and the waiting line was quite long. One important note: not all of the sauces are Halal, so make sure to check before ordering.

One of the most beloved spots for enjoying Belgian fries in Brussels truly lives up to the hype! It's conveniently located right across from the city hall, making it easy to find. The fries are absolutely delightful, especially when paired with the zesty American sauce. Plus, the prices are quite reasonable, and the service is impressively swift. Enjoy your visit!

There was a queue as I went in the afternoon but the team there were fast in serving orders. Their fries lived up to my expectations. Proper Belgian style. Other items were also good. Chicken Wings are little salty to my taste. Probably you don't come here to have wings.

MUSEUM HAUS

Google
Amazing fries, UNESCO world heritage, so a 100% a must experience. Don't go for the large fries, the smaller one will already do. A lot of different sauces and they are all top quality.

Google
First meal straight after flight to Brussels. An iconic place running since 1978. Tried some classic belgium fries with sauce, white sausage and something made of chicken and cheese i guess 😅 Great location near the busy walking streets in Brussels heart. Grande size fries with sauce cost only 6 euros, was piping hot crunch on the outside and fluffy inside. Total spent 13.5€ for to persons to eat it looks like a steal, great value for money 👌

Google
The fries were absolutely delicious — perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Portions were super generous (definitely come hungry!) and the sauces were decadently yummy, with plenty of bold and tasty options to choose from.

Google
You can get your order quickly and there's a white table in front of it. Also, the sauces are very good. The Dallas sauce was especially great.

Google
Was recommended by friend and enjoyed the fries very much! No complaints with service as there’s so much you can do with popular fast food with long line. Got lucky with seating but don’t expect to get one for dinner around 6:00 pm unless you get lucky. I also got the hotdog, but do not recommend if you prefer American style hotdog where the meat is more chewy. Maybe it is Belgian hotdog style but the meat is very soggy so with very soft (but good) bread and cooked onions, it feels like you’re chewing on tasty mush. But if you like very very soft hotdog, I recommend.

Yelp
I had this place on my list to visit in Brussels. When my friend and I came by, we were immediately greeted with a long waiting line. Although it was decently long, we decided to stick it out. My friend and I decided to share a large portion of fries, which comes with 1 sauce. But we decided to purchase another sauce to try different things. We decided to go with andalouse & cocktail sauce. The fries come out warm and very crispy, so my first impression of Belgian frites was very positive. It's quite delicious and addicting to eat on its own. My personal favorite sauce is the andalouse - it tasted like ketchup/mayo with a herby/vinegary twist to it. I also got to try the cocktail sauce. On first impression, I didn't personally taste the whiskey as I was told it had, but I did taste something unique. It was quite interesting to say the least. I didn't mind it, but wasn't superior to andalouse (in my opinion).

Yelp
Fries are a must when in Belgium. My husband and I split an order of fries with dipping sauces and they were just okay. I do not get all of the hype behind this spot but it worked for a quick snack.
google avatar

Yelp
This is one of the many places you must try when in Brussels! The fries are served hot, perfectly golden and crispy! I chose the andalouse sauce for dipping and loved it's vinegary, light herb & mayo flavours. The service at the window was kind and effective. Do expect a lineup as this spot is popular amongst locals and tourists. Plenty of outdoor seating with some indoor tables too.

Yelp
This particular friterie and Friterie Tabora nearby always seem to have a line -- and for a reason! There is debate on which is the best. Having never gone to the aforementioned shop, we had a choice and it was determined by our Airbnb hosts recommendation and the absence of a line at 17:00 on a weekday. Not a tourist trap in the least. Maybe the quality diminishes during a rush, but since we went during a slow hour we received fries with superior crunch and ultimate freshness. The sauce selection was vast and a bit mind boggling. We tried to keep it consistent with the curry ketchup but the andalouse did look appealing too as it is a sauce of a Belgian past time. We were able to enjoy our fries at their benches just outside the window which they have plenty of. Excellent quality and so, so recommended! Having experienced a tourist trap earlier in our trip, we did not feel trapped in the least. My only advice is to monitor the line and go when it is least busy that way you're guaranteed a fresher product and, in addition, a more pleasant experience.

Yelp
This spot was recommended by our Guide as one of the best if not the best for Belgian Fries. Short queue that went fast when I visited. Fries were freshly made and they stay busy enough for made to order. About 10 different sauces which was a nice touch. Curry Ketchup (sweet/vinegar) and Americaine (a bit spicy) were the ones I liked. They also have Burgers and various types of Sausage. Ordered the Viandelle . The Baguette was massive and is too big for one sausage. You get grilled onions and lettuce. Pretty good. Boudin Blanc was also tasty (sliced and without the massive roll) Service was upbeat and fast. Plenty of outdoor seating as well inside. One of the oldest Fries spot and possibly the best.

Yelp
Really good French fries. Plus you get to choose a sauce. Yummy. It's an out door setting.
google avatar

Yelp
Overrated. Soggy fries. I went there with high expectations but it was very disappointing experience.
google avatar

Tia K.

Yelp
Good fries. Very long line but fries are a must in Belgium since they originate here. Ordered a small with sauce for 4 euros. No sauce is one euro less. Sauce comes on the side, and they give a large portion for the sauce and for the fries. Recommend trying if you're in Brussels! However, I didn't think the fries were amazing or much better than normal. The staff do know English as well. There's indoor and outdoor seating.

Yelp
Came to Fritland per the recommendation of Belgian YouTubers, and I'm highly disappointed with it. We stopped by around 6pm on a Wednesday. The place had a serious line, but it moved fairly quickly. Our server was particularly a rockstar. We got a big order of fries, and my fiancé got a hot dog with saurkraut, mustard, ketchup, and mayo. Maybe because they double-fry their fries, I thought that Fritland's fries were the most greasy I've had during my trip. I wasn't super impressed by them either. They might as well have been like the fast-food fries from back at home. The different sauces were at least fun to try. The samurai was great. I get that Belgian fries are a must-have, but I wouldn't suggest Fritland to anyone wanting to try them. There have got to better fry spots out in the city.
google avatar

Nyla K.

Yelp
Came here because a Belgian coworker recommended this place. Got the large frites with sauce and some extra sides. The guy taking my order was rushing me a bit and after he took my order, went on a smoke break and sat down right next to me. Definitely not in America anymore. There is seating inside and well as outside. No heaters outside. Also, the logo is a guy with Frits having a wee? Is this right? Lol 2/5 - frites with sauce - the curry sauce is okay, the fries alone are without salt and small but square and thick. Not a fan 2/5 - chicken strips - three pieces that were decent. Pretty basic 2/5 - coquette - not bad but not great either. It comes in a ball and they quarter it and fry it. Not sure what all the hype is. I would not recommend.

Yelp
We went here as we had heard that it was the best frites place in Brussels. I would say it is good, but nothing amazing. That being said, the prices and super reasonable so not a bad call if you are looking for some standard good frites! We shared the frites, a fricadelle, and a hamburger sandwich. All were solid, nothing mind-blowing. Lots of good sauce options though!
google avatar

Marlon T.

Yelp
I know this place has a lot of hype and I will admit that the outside has a lot of appeal since it's just a bunch of picnic tables where people can grab fries/sauce and chill. Frankly, the fries aren't that good and there are way better places in Belgium. Maybe it was bad oil or a batch of potatoes and the Andalouse sauce here wasn't that good either. Perhaps the quality of this place has just deteriorated over time since they're in a prime location and they will always have customers, so they can decrease quality--who knows. Bottom line, this place is worth a visit, but maybe not another.

Yelp
Uber good and fresh fries in the fry capitol of the world. Don't let the line scare you- they move very quickly! My husband also enjoyed the hot dog. Everything was fresh and served the minute it came off the frier and grill. Highly recommended as the real deal in Brussels !
google avatar

Sze Ting L.

Yelp
This place is right in the center of the grand place, so it has many tourists and locals alike and the queue is extremely long -- i don't think i've queued longer in any other place in belgium. The fries are solid, but not the best ones I had. They are cut a bit thick like the british style, but the sauce is really great (andalouse sauce is a Belgian specialty sauce consisting of mayonnaise, tomato paste, and peppers? similar to thousand island) and the portion is extremely huge. You can also get it in a sandwich, which I might try next time!
google avatar

Suzee Q.

Yelp
Decent frites but they also have sandwiches and something they call a cheese souffle. I got a hot dog with cheese and we split a cheese souffle, both of which I would pass on next time, and, of course, frites. The frites were good and the prices were really good. There are tables out front and a small dining area inside. The line moves very quickly. The food is hot and service is ok.
google avatar

Chloe T.

Yelp
If you are looking for a quick lunch or snack, you've found the right place. However, I will say they are average fries and nothing above the ordinary.
google avatar

Tammy W.

Yelp
We passed by Fritland a few times, but the line was rather long. We went back in the middle early evening. The line moved pretty quickly. We ordered two different sauces, mayo of course being one. I believe the second sauce is the andalouse. It wasn't bad. But, in the end the mayo complimented the fries the best. Let me start by saying, I love fries. These were good. They needed a bit of salt and they would've been great. One order is definitely enough for 3-4 people.

Yelp
Frites are a must when in Belgium as I made my way over to Fritland. Don't worry as the line goes by quickly. Since I was pretty hungry, I ordered a Carrero (€3), which is a spicy beef meat snack. This was something new for me, which was not too bad, but not that amazing either. Of course I also ordered the Frites with Sauce (€4) with the Andalouse sauce. You pretty much have to go with the andalouse sauce as it is a Belgian specialty sauce consisting of mayonnaise, tomato paste, and peppers similar to thousand island. I have to say that the sauce covered on top of the frites was excessive. It made it hard to truly enjoy the frites as some parts lacked sauce on the bottom while the top was drowning in sauce. Although you can ask to get the sauce on the side, it makes for a better picture with the sauce all over the cone of frites --so up to your preference. Overall, yummy and crispy frites. I don't think the frites in Belgium are any better than the rest of the world, but nonetheless a must.
google avatar

Midori G.

Yelp
Wow the long line was worth the wait! I had no idea Belgium was such a huge fry place until I got here! There is no place to sit down inside so my boyfriend and I enjoyed getting some fries while walking around the city! What we ordered: we shared one serving of fries and it was enough for the both of us to have a snack. We ordered 2 sauces and it was a good decision- the garlic aioli and curry ketchup mixed well together! Personally I wish we would have gotten the sauces on the side because it got pretty messy. A great fry place w a great location in Brussels!

Yelp
Everyone says you have to get Belgian fries when in Brussels. I expected Fritland to be very commercialized (it is), but there's no strong evidence that any of the other places nearby are much better. At most hours of the day, there's usually a long line of mostly tourists. However, one night we were coming back to the area around 11:30pm, and no one was in line, so we decided to just go for it. It's counter service, but during the day, they have some tables outside (none at night). Fries: €0.80 for sauce - traditionally mayo, but I'm a fan of curry ketchup. They squeeze sauce right on top of the cone of fries, so you need a fork to eat them. The fry portion is pretty big, but the fries without sauce were a little under salted for me. I had read that they use fresh potatoes and not frozen ones, which is nice. They have a bunch of other random items, and I was curious about this cheese soufflé - turns out it's like a fried breaded cheese rectangle. It was pretty good, but for the size, not really worth €2.50 when the giant order of fries is only €3.20 (without sauce) or €4 with sauce. Staff spoke some English but aren't particularly helpful. Cash only.

Cassy W.

Yelp
I knew I wanted to try Belgian fries and I read online this was one of the more well-known stands. The line was moderately long but moved quickly! The fries come out super fast and you have an option of around 20 sauces. I chose the "pita", which was like a chunky garlic aioli. Overall, the fries were fresh and delicious and the portion was huge. Would recommend!
google avatar

Darylynn D.

Yelp
When visiting Brussels or Belgium you have to have some fries. What's so great about them? That they are fries!!! There's a line outside which is typically long so go inside there's usually no one waiting. I came here and I ordered the: 1)polycroc - delicious chicken meat and coated in crunchy cornflakes. 2)carrero - chicken with some spice, but not too flavorful. I'd pass on this next time. 3)mitraillette - hamburger patties with sauce and salad and topped with fries. I highly recommend this because you get the sandwich and fries on top of the sandwich. Everything here is fried which is what you expect at Fritland.
google avatar

Alex B.

Yelp
Warning! Tourist trap! These frites are not very good compared to others. I believe that since they draw a large crowd they just don't care about their product any more. Maybe it was once great but there was literally nothing good about this place. Avoid the long line and go elsewhere.
google avatar

Brendan S.

Yelp
I had to do some touristy stuff in Brussels. And personally, I really dig fries. My wife and I got an order of frites with ketchup. They were very good. They taste like old school diner fries. The kind fried in lard before America got too fat and blamed it on the lard in the fryers.
google avatar

Craig G.

Yelp
The Bourse area of Brussels draws a huge flock of tourists (and pigeons. So many pigeons...), which allows fry stops like Fritland to flourish. The interior is cramped, service is surly, and the place is mobbed around lunchtime. But: the goods speak for themselves. These were probably the best fries I've tasted anywhere. Double fried and crisp while staying just smooth enough on the inside, it would be easy to devour the huge pile that comes in an order. The fries are €3,50 plain, but you'll want them with sauce for an extra €0,50. I got mine with americaine (mayo with tomato paste, herbs, stock, and chili), though they have about a dozen to choose from. Other goods are on the menu, including a tasty frikadel (think of it as a ground meat sausage, deep fried) and a mitrailette (a baguette stuffed with fries, meat, and sauce). Worth a stop if you're craving fries. Otherwise, move on out.

Yelp
First meal in Belgium: frites, baby! Fritland is quite literally around the corner from our hotel, so after a miserable flight and dropping all our stuff off, we were happy to be here to eat one of the country's signature foods. The nonexistent queueing and ordering "system" here is complete chaos, but rest assured that you will eventually get your food and they will find a way to make your credit card work. We ordered frites (of course), a soufflé au fromage (essentially a rectangular mozzarella stick that made sweet love to a pizza pocket minus the sauce), and something called a piknikker (that we thought was meat based on the picture but turned out to be fish). The fries were...fries. Don't get us wrong, they were very good, all hail the Belgians, but ours were kind of short-ish, which is a personal pet peeve. Still, you won't be unhappy. And that mayo! It's nothing like we have in the States--more like a sour cream--and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The soufflé thing was kind of greasy and nasty but the fish-on-the-stick situation was pretty tasty! Kind of like a fried fish sandwich patty, but kebab-style. The staff is friendly but expect them to be horsing around back there and have zero interest in food safety with what their hands are touching. You sit outside and the atmosphere is quite pleasant except for the fat pigeon-vultures waiting for that errant fry to drop. We're settling on three stars, but we have no complaints with 2 beers, 1 soda, and 3 items of food costing twenty euros.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicieuses frites et mitraillette! Super fraîches! Delicious and fresh, a must try in Brussels.
google avatar

Jenny F.

Yelp
This place was recommended by several blogs and tour guides. As a fry lover I was pretty excited to try it out. I did not mind the line as it moved pretty fast, however the fries were not even the least bit good. They were over cooked and burned and there was nothing amazing about these. Do not waste your time, this place is overrated. I did also try a sandwich called Mitraillette and that was much better but it comes with fries and again they were brown and not good. I was not impressed.
google avatar

Yelp
FRITLAAAANNND!! GO!! You must! Ahh such wonderful memories here....strangely enough, we didn't catch long lines when we went (and the times varied). We went once during the day and again that night. They have several items besides fries like meat sticks and "happy meals." Can't speak on the meat but everything else was good. FOOD: The number of sauces available is extensive, so be sure to get a good look at all the yumminess they have to offer. Fries are fried twice in animal fat, as they should be (ugh we have become so used to vegetable and canola oil flavors I think). PRICE: Huge portion of fries AND sauce (which you can order on the side) for a low price. Very filling to say the least. AMBIENCE: You can take a seat inside, outdoors or just be on your merry way with cone of fries in hand. Yep, I'll be back!

Yelp
Everyone who knows me is fully aware of the fact that I'm all about McD fries. However, when I Belgium, I gotta try some thick cut fries! This place is practically empty right at opening time (11:30 am ish), and let me tell you that come at opening to avoid any lines! I was here at around 2 pm on a weekday afternoon and waited in line for about 15-25 minutes. The wait was manageable because the weather was nice! Would I wait in the rain? Probably not. The menu is simple and straightforward. I like how you can enjoy the fries either as an appetizer or as a meal (in a sandwich, taco, etc). I opted for the fries without sauce. I actually really enjoy the thick cut fries for once! It's crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect combination! This place is cash only. Now I understand how a family business that is cash only. But for a well known local establishment that refused to take credit cards? Seems kind of unnecessary. I only got the fries (costed me 3 euros), so there was no inconvenience. However, I think it could've been more customer friendly given how many people actually visit this supposedly best fries place in Brussels. Give it a try! You may like it (unless you are really, really into McD).
google avatar

Hannah C.

Yelp
You will wish you would have tried this. I couldn't stay away from this place. It's an eclectic little spot, and the fries are deliciously crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Friteland has seriously created a menu of things I never knew I needed in my life. My personal favorite was the Souffle au fromage and I also liked the Mitraillette. The dips are also delicious. Since this is rather small space it does take some time for them to get the food out to you so have some patience standing in line.
google avatar

Christina R.

Yelp
There is going to be a line because everyone says this is the best place to get fries in Brussels. The line will move very quickly though as they always have fries queued up for the next order. They have other items on the menu but I noticed when I was there everyone was ordering the large fries. They have a large assortment of sauces and I was told to be sure I ordered mine on the side but actually I don't have a problem with it being glopped on top because you get the weird toothpick stick fork thing anyway. The fries are pretty darn good. Hot, super crispy but tender tender tender on the inside. They put on the perfect amount of salt. Which actually makes me want to get them without sauce if I ever come back because they just don't need it. Also, there is an adequate amount of seating and if you sit close enough to the restaurant next door, you'll get free WiFi. :)
google avatar

Von A.

Yelp
No matter how long or short the line seems to be, their fries come out HOT!!!! ... and I guess fresh for that matter. Definitely need a sauce to cool it down, as you may burn your tongue or the roof of your mouth like I did. Overall, the portion size is huge and definitely a value for the price.
google avatar

Bruce K.

Yelp
Brussels is famous for frites and with a name like Fritland, I'd expect them to be top of the game. It's in a rather touristy part of town, too. Queue up outside or inside, with tables outside and stools inside. It's a simple menu and they do have things others than fries, but that's why I'm here. One order of frites please. A minute later, a large basket of fries was placed on my tray with my choice of sauce. I went with the curry ketchup and while it was okay, I would choose something else next time. Very sweet, not much curry. €3.80 buys you a large portion of fries and a small tub of sauce. There are enough for two to share so consider getting two sauces and then you can double dip. The fries were hot and fresh and quite tasty. Five stars worthy. Yum! Tip: Do NOT call them "French" fries. Seriously. That's a thing here.
google avatar

Sarah K.

Yelp
This place had a line infront of it and it was close to the grote market i was heading to so I stopped by. For 3.80euros, if i remember correctly, you'll get a huge "roll" of fries and some sauce. i had it with the house tartar sauce. First off, the fries were ok. I had better fries back in a Leuven restaurant actually. But it probably has something to do with the tartar sauce all over the top. If possible, ask to get the sauce separate. The way they give it to you, the sauce totally drenches the fries so it gets soggy real quick :/ All in all, it's ok - but i would try another place too.
google avatar

Jamie B.

Yelp
Yes they serve frites... alas they remind me of the British kind of chips that you get with fish. This isn't the kind of frites associated with Belgium. These kind of chips deserve salt & malt vinegar, not the fantastic sauces that they offer. If you like chips no matter what, it's a great place. If you want to have authentic Belgium frites then this isn't the place to go. Sadly tourists line up thinking they will get a taste of Belgium are going away thinking there is nothing special.
google avatar

Emily S.

Yelp
Fritland was the perfect late-night spot to grab some good food. Granted, we only got the frites, but they were great! Hot, crispy, delicious, and well-priced. We opted for mayo and ketchup, but there were plenty of other sauce options. A cone was a perfect snack split between the two of us, a good portion for the price. The food came out quickly and the customer service was fine. There were other menu items, which also looked like they would be good late-night food. Fritland delivered exactly as expected!
google avatar

Majer M.

Yelp
Known to be the best belgium Frites of all time and this is the third time I've came! Maybe it's because of the construction around the sites, it feels more chaotic than before. Ordered frites with two sauces (one recommended by them- tartar and another Andalusia). This time maybe because of the heat of the weather and the sauce, the frites were melting and they were softer than the last time I tried. I also did not know what to expect of andalusia sauce but it surprised me a lot when I tasted it and it felt like curry! Overall, still a good place but I feel like due to its undying reputation, the quality is kind of up and down.
google avatar

Nancy B.

Yelp
Fries weren't anything special, and neither were the most popular sauces which is their house sauce and this other orange sauce (sorry forgot the name. Begins with an A I believe). Order is huge so share with someone else. I'm sure there's other places to find friets. This didn't do it for me.
google avatar

Anish P.

Yelp
One of the top places in Brussels to try out Frites as per lonely planet guide. It is walking distance from grand place. I stopped here in the morning before my free city tour could start. There's always a line but it moves pretty fast so don't be intimidated by it. Outdoor seating gets filled up faster than the indoor ones. This place is mostly crowded by tourists and not a lot of them know that there's option to pay inside as well. If there's no one on the inside , feel free to go in and order. First timers : Order of Frites (fries) served with sides of sauces. Lots of options to choose from. The Andolous and Samurai ( spicy) were my favorites. Curry Ketchup was also nice. The portion size is huge and the fries are thick so it's a good sharing option (as long as you can decide on the same sauces :P) Another dish to try out is the Mitraille, which is a Belgian sandwich with fries inside. This thing is a carb bomb and a great option before the walking tour so you can walk it off. I'd go here again if I were to visit Brussels and if you're visiting the city, you should try it out . Fair warning though, American made fries would never be the same again after this !

Kylie H.

Yelp
Loved the fries, especially with THAT SAUCE (samurai!) although without they were slight under salted but still crispy and fresh. Service was QUICK I literally placed my order and paid and they were handing me my fries. The large was good to split for two hungry gals and only five euros
google avatar

Yelp
One of the fast food places to eat thats close to Grand Place is Fritland. Due to its good ratings from food blogs we wanted to give this place a try especially, when one of the things to do in Brussels is to eat frites. We ordered simply their Frites. It's in a small tray but its loaded with goodness. Their Frites are thick, golden yellow, crisp and salted on the outside with soft insides, with that alone it's tasty. If that sounds boring, the fun part is choosing your flavor from 14 different sauces. I got the Moutarde, mustard in English it's a little spicy that can attack the sinuses. The other sauce is a Belgium specialty called the Andalouse, it consists of mayonnaise, peppers and tomato paste, between the two I liked this one because of its smooth, rich textures with a hint of spices. I found it funny when we were in line inside it was crowded, and I realized they were taking orders from their window facing the street with no waiting. I guess everyone wanted to enjoy these hot fries indoors when it's 30 degrees outside. Speaking of long lines inside, it was unorganized, it turned out to be a crowd outside the counter and its possible that people could cut in front of you. I would hold your ground, pay attention. Its busy and the employees may not be aware of the line order when they call who's next. You can option for the sandwich called the Mitraillette, it's frites between baguette bread. If carbs overload is your thing and want to experience their popularity, this is it. I noticed some of the guys working here speak multiple languages, so you placing orders shouldn't be an issue. They do limit you to two sauces, per frites order though. Make Fritland a definite stop when visiting the Grand Place.

Yelp
I was super excited since there are many good reviews on TripAdvisor but to be honest, I was little bit disappointed! It was good but not the best one in the city in my opinion. Customer service was great tho! The staff was trying to engage some conversation with customers which was nice to see!
google avatar

Mindy T.

Yelp
Really good fries but not the best in Belgium. It is cash only! If you find yourself here make sure to try their ketchup curry. It goes really well with the mayo dipping sauce too. I saw a few people get fries with a beef stew sauce and it looked amazing.
google avatar

Lily T.

Yelp
Fries fried in animal fat. Yes, yes, yes! 3,20 euros for plain fries or 4 euros for fries with sauce (andalouse?). Sauce can be regular or spicy but most definitely pick the spicy. It's not even spicy... Maybe just a small kick. The sauce is similar to a ketchup & mayo combo.
google avatar

Angel L.

Yelp
Frites were ok. I don't know what I was expecting but this wasn't it. It was a regular French fry like you could get out of the freezer section of your local supermarket. Service was terrible. One of the younger kids was nice but the older gentleman was nasty. Looked like he couldn't be bothered.

Yelp
3.5 stars: Okay I admit I am just not the biggest fan of thick fries, but Belgian fries are always thick. The amount they charge for a side of sauce is a bit much so we only tried the garlicky one and it didn't have much flavor. The fries itself was okay. Nothing special. At least they are crispy outside and soft inside. I thought the portion was generous too, easily shareable between two people. Cash only!

Yelp
During our trip, we came here to try the fries after a local recommended this place and it was pretty good. We also tried the Apirio Stick-chicken legs and it was very tasty to our surprise. The meat was tender and not greasy at all. Lightly battered and seasoned just right. We ended up coming back the day before we leave Brussels for more Apirio Stick.

Yelp
Restaurant row in Brussels. There are about 5-6 restaurants with patio/sidewalk seating (European style) along the street by Fritland (pick your poison). After walking and touring around for most of the morning, we decided to stop on in for a quick lunch. Fritland: French (Belgium) fries galore! Every order comes with some sort of "frit" in it or on the side. The service is quick, there's a quick turn-around for tables and the food was decent. Service...the guy who helped me was awesome..he spoke decent English so I was able to communicate with him pretty easily. He was very helpful as well on what to order. The steak sandwich with fries and the special sauce was good! Do try the frits (fries) and if you like the "gyro" style of meats, you'll like the steak sandwich. They have a kid's menu as well. The food is affordable. I was fries-out by the time I left Belgium though.......
