Frituur n°1

The small size should be enough for 1 person. The plain fries are delicious with a bit of salty taste.

Was told this place has the best fritter by my Belgian friend who studied 20 years ago. Unfortunately, I had better fritters in Antwerp as the fries are too salty and the sauces are heavy. Also tried the sausage and meatball, which are pretty average too.

Number one fries for tourist. The name is just marketing. Fries are okay but not the best. Pretty expensive too. I am crying from the inside eating here 🥲

The chips are good but obviously fresh made chips are better. Excellent fast service from the famous lady Maria. There are always lots of clients

Quick service, cheap and tasty grub. Chose the pepper sauce for my frites and it was exactly the right thing for that point in time. We immediately got a table to eat, it would've been nicer if it wasn't quite so basic inside, but it's a fast food restaurant not a fine dining establishment, so what can you expect!

Good fries, better than McDonald's but not as good as English chip shop chips. There is an adjacent room without service, overlooking the street, in which to eat your food. Welcome on a cold day.

Good food for good value at the center of Antwerp. We stopped by Frituur no1 spontaneously as we were let down by the food at the Christmas market and this place saved our lunch. The fries were thinly cut, probably by hand since they were uneven in thickness, crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The chips were well seasoned and nicely coated with salt. The unevenness of each piece brought a nice textural variation. Their curryworst is also a good option on the side, their portions are on the smaller side compared to other frituurs in Belgium. Unfortunately, the sauces aren't house-made, but they use a good ketchup. Overall, Frituur no1 is a good option to rest and enjoy some frites.

Very disappointed experience! Frites hard, not much saus. Haring disappointing as well. The people not friendly. The whole of our week staying in Antwerp only meeting friendly people. They call themselves Nr.1, not even a Nr. 100!, very last on the list
