16 Best Bars in Bermuda, From Front Street Dives to Waterfront Local Breweries | Condé Nast Traveler

"The Frog & Onion Pub has the unique distinction of being housed in a converted 18th-century stone cooperage where barrels were once built for the British Royal Navy. In fact, much of its purpose-built pomp is still on display, most notably in the main dining room, where a gigantic stone fireplace, once used by blacksmiths to forge galvanized iron hoops, is decked out in medieval-looking candelabras dripping with wax. International flags hang from soaring ceilings, collections of old glass bottles adorn wooden shelves, and old-school nautical artifacts decorate Bermuda’s most beloved west end pub. This pub features six draft beers, all brewed onsite at the Dockyard Brewing Company. Made with Bermuda rainwater and a selection of international hops and barley, the offerings include a traditional German hefeweizen, light-style pilsner, copper-colored amber ale, hoppy IPA, classic London porter, and seasonal brewmaster’s beer of choice." - David LaHuta

"When you think of the word pub, chances are you picture something like this place. Housed in the old Cooperage of the Royal Navy Dockyard, this causal bar-slash-restaurant is all about cozy atmosphere; there’s even a fireplace that was originally a forge used to produce iron hoops for barrels. The menu showcases comfort food—fish-and-chips, savory pies, and brisket with Yorkshire puddings—not to mention some local touches like the pepper jam served with red-onion rings. Enjoy a pint or two of ale, pilsner, or porter from the onsite Dockyard Brewing Company (the most established of the breweries on the island). The hoppy offerings change regularly."

Decent pub with a rustic masted ship era naval feel. They have a good selection of house beer. Prices are a little high but expected, being right at the cruise ship terminal plaza. Service was quick. 18% service charge is automatically added and you are prompted again for a tip so be aware of this.

I have been to the Frog and Onion Pub at Bermuda’s Royal Naval Dockyard and it was a great stop. The building itself is full of character… it’s located in an old stone cooperage that was once used by the Royal Navy. The high ceilings, heavy beams, historic stone walls, and nautical decorations make the atmosphere feel rich and authentic. It’s a memorable place to sit down for a meal. The food was really good. I had the fish and chips and it came out hot and perfectly cooked… crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The portions were generous and everything tasted fresh. The menu had a variety of classic comfort foods and hearty meals that filled us up after a long day of walking. The service was friendly and efficient. Even though the area can get busy when cruise ships come in, the staff stayed on top of things and made us feel welcome. There’s plenty of seating both inside and outside, and we enjoyed being able to relax in a spot with so much history around us. If you’re visiting the Dockyard and looking for a satisfying meal in a unique setting, this is a great choice. I would definitely go back again.

Our cruise stopped in Bermuda and we found this restaurant in port! The food and drinks were delicious. They had live music which also added to the atmosphere. I will definitely be back if I’m ever in Bermuda again!

A fun pub in the Royal Navy yards. It's a little pricey but it's close to the cruise ship docks. Be aware a that they add an 18% service charge and the credit card machine also asks if you want to tip..you could end up double tipping

Amazing atmosphere, Great food! Staff was on point. Our party started small and they were able pivot and respond as the rest of the party found out where we were! Highly recommend to anyone who has thw chance.

We had such a wonderful dinner at The Frog and Onion Pub! Our waiter, Liv, was amazing, he gave us great recommendations and made the experience even more enjoyable. The drinks and beer were excellent, but the food truly blew us away. My husband had the brisket cottage pie, and I had the fish and chips, both dishes were absolutely delicious, some of the best we’ve ever had. It was such a memorable evening, and we can’t wait to come back!

Not my first choice for a bite to eat in the dockyard area. Atmosphere nice and had live music, but food mediocre at best. Fish chowder ($15) small cup that had very little to no fish. The wahoo fish bites were tasty but over cooked and served with very little sauce. $17 for 6oz glass of Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio (lunch). Good air conditioning!

We visited Bermuda while on a Norwegian cruise. My girlfriend is from the UK, so she was excited about the fish and chips. After a few bites, we both gave a thumbs up! Lol. I tried their local beer and it was good. We were seated close to the biggest fireplace I have seen in my life. The restaurant was built in the old fort on the island. This is a tourist restaurant but we'll worth it. Service was excellent and there is plenty of seating.
