This hotel has a fabulous location just off the main square of the Old Town. Our room was huge with a separate living room, a bedroom that could sleep 4 people beautifully furnished with old antiques. The hotel has a cute courtyard where you could lounge, if desired. Breakfast included a modest buffet with cooked to order eggs. There is no elevator, so you do have to carry your luggage up and down some stairs. Overall, a beautiful medieval hotel, built in 1697, terrifically located in the center of Sighisoara.

Extremely disappointed. Beds are literally the most uncomfortable I have ever experienced. We either could not sleep at all from the horrible mattresses or when we did, woke up with ungodly back and hip pain that made it impossible to enjoy the day or walk without injury (I have never had pains from a mattress in my life!!). All rooms are NOT created equal. Many of the rooms are extremely, EXTREMELY basic and if you want a platonic double or single room you are in for a world of disappointment. I guess only romantic couples are provided a nice room and comfortable bed. I came with a group of 11 and the huge variance in our rooms is unacceptable. One of the rooms looks like a prison cell with a single bed, a desk, and it's barely bigger than a walk in closet. The loft in room 6 (our room) was barely better. Staff is very lovely. Location is great. This is more like a 2-star bed and breakfast that just so happens to be in a picturesque location. There is no way I can recommend this hotel.

Wow! Our room was incredible (room 1). The ceiling was vaulted and showed evidence of original painted frescoes. The furniture was antique and complimented the room. The bathroom had a bath and was designed sympathetically. Breakfast used local produce and was delicious. The only accomodation I have ever stayed in that had its own original internal well. All in all a great experience.

For me personally the experience was 10/10. I rarely to almost never leave reviews, however, this time I really felt the need to share my experience with other people, so they can also experience the joy I experienced while staying at Fronius. Firstly, the location is great, there you are basically in the middle of everything and a few steps away from the stairs to the Church. It was so easy to go and come back whenever I felt like because it is really in the very city center. Secondly, the rooms are very clean (which is important to me), the bed is extremely comfortable to sleep on and the view is mesmerizing. You can also enjoy an evening or morning in their beautiful garden, surrounded by flowers and pieces of history such old clocks, paintings etc The personal is very polite, helpful, warm and welcoming. I have no words to thank them enough for making my stay so pleasant. I am truly grateful for how they treated me and I wish more business would learn this type of customer service which definitely made me want to go back and recommend them to my friends. The food is also very delicious, made by them. I personally enjoyed the taste of the coffee and the traditional zacusca. Thank you, Fronius for your hospitality, I will definitely come back!

Fronius is a place we had been eager to visit for quite some time, and we finally got the opportunity to experience its charm. Nestled in the heart of Sighisoara, this quaint establishment exceeded our expectations in many ways. The location itself is superb, right in the center of this historic town, which made exploring the cobblestone streets and medieval architecture incredibly convenient. Upon arrival, we were immediately taken by the picturesque setting and the warm, inviting atmosphere. The staff at Fronius were exceptionally welcoming, offering a level of hospitality that made us feel right at home. Their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate our needs truly enhanced our stay. The rooms at Fronius are beautifully decorated, blending modern comforts with historic charm. Each room has its own unique character, reflecting the rich history of Sighisoara while providing all the amenities one could need for a comfortable stay. The cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities were impeccable, which further added to our positive experience. One of the highlights of our stay was the delightful breakfast served each morning. Fresh, locally-sourced ingredients were used to prepare a variety of delicious dishes, catering to all tastes and dietary preferences. It was a perfect way to start our days of exploring the enchanting town.

The highlight of this hotel is its location - in the heart of the citadel of Sighasoara. The staff were friendly and helpful. They greeted us with a homemade cherry liqueur and they made a lovely breakfast. The breakfast is made up of locally produced food and drink - with the apple juice being a real highlight.||The room is large, and the beds are comfortable. The bathroom is also large and clean - but the shower requires that you climb into a tub. There is no shower curtain. ||The other highlight of this hotel is that it is so quiet!! After a night on a main boulevard in Bucharest, this was a real treat!

Our stay was nothing short of spectacular. This boutique hotel perfectly blends historic charm with modern comfort. The hotel is steps away from iconic landmarks like the Clock Tower and the Scholars' Stairs. Its central location allowed us to easily explore the narrow cobblestone streets, colourful houses, and historic sites, all within a short walk. Our room was stunning. It was designed with beautiful, antique furnishings that maintain the authenticity of the medieval building while offering all the modern amenities. Our room had vaulted ceilings, wooden beams, and thick stone walls, which made us feel like we were living in a different era. Despite the historic feel, the rooms were equipped with modern conveniences such as high-quality linens, a spacious bathroom with shower, and fast Wi-Fi. The atmosphere of the residence is incredibly cosy and intimate. The staff were really friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They were happy to share insights about the local history and provide recommendations for things to do in the area. Breakfast was an absolute highlight—served in a charming dining room that felt like a time capsule. It was a lovely setting. They allowed us to park our rental car inside to avoid any fines. One of the most remarkable things about Fronius Residence is its preservation of historical elements. The building dates back to the 17th century. Yet, despite its age, the residence is incredibly well-maintained and comfortable. This place offers an exceptional blend of historical character and modern luxury, making it one of the best places to stay in Sighisoara.

Awesome experience getting to sleep in such a historical place. Comes with minor quirks, but damn the room was sooo spacious. This place redefined for me what a great breakfast is. The tomatoes actually tasted like tomatoes and not wet colored cardboard like they usually do. The cheese was fresh and the eggplant salad and zacusca were some of the best I ever had.
