Came here to register a camper RV I purchased. I was asked for either my passport or a valid driver’s license. A passport? Because she automatically thought I was going to apply for my driver license. I am a U.S.-born citizen, and I have a valid driver’s license. I provided my Real ID and brought all the required documents, I even triple-checked ahead of time by calling customer service. Despite that, I was turned away. The representative wouldn’t let me speak, and when I finally got a chance to explain that I had checked online and confirmed by phone, she went to get the supervisor. The supervisor also turned me away and told me, and I quote, that I “wasted both mine and their time.”I went to the Winchester location instead, no issues whatsoever. And apparently many people have experienced the same issue, specifically anyone who isn’t white/caucasian. What a shame.
