This cafe is tucked away on a side street but i encourage you to go find it. The shop has great vibes and wonderful staff, but importantly the coffee is delicious and exactly what you need after your kids keep you up all night long. Highly recommended.

Google
No refills for hot coffee that you serve yourself, basically Panera but stingy. The staff are not welcoming it’s a very odd environment, their breakfast sandwich smelled horrid and it did not taste good at all. Surprisingly I didn’t get food poisoning, it’s a cute shop but needs to hire new employees and redecorate and fix the lighting, we are not living in the time of cave men it’s super dark. I will not return.

Google
There are so many things I love at this shop. Everything is always so consistent. The vibes are immaculate and the chairs are comfy. They have a ton of cool art on the walls and it's always changing which I love. The workers are pleasant and the manager, Alex, is a warm and welcome face. I drink decaf and have been given regular in the past at other places but I trust this shop to do me right so I don't need to worry about a straight up panic attack. Abu is a favorite of mine and is always working hard. Even during the busiest times in October the quality doesn't fail. Front Street Coffee is a must go and a 10/10.

Google
The worst Vietnamese coffee ever! I asked a little bit ice but I got full cup of ice. This coffee shop looks dirty and missy. Where are those 4 and half reviews come from?

Google
Wife and I stopped by on Halloween morning, wanted to support local instead of corporate. The line was long, with it being Halloween and all, but they got us in and out fairly quickly. Grabbed an iced americano and one of their breakfast sandwiches. Both were fantastic and just what I needed to fuel my day walking around historic Salem!

Fuchan

Google
I changed my order to a hot americano from an iced one (despite the hot temperatures outside) because they mentioned they only served hot coffee in reusable mugs which is what I asked for. Yet when the order was ready it came in a single use container. It’s not only wasteful but also really disappointing. I care about the environment and coffee in a paper mug tastes like wet cardboard in addition to the chemicals from the inner lining being released into the coffee… In addition I had ordered an 8oz coffee but they charged me and gave me 12 oz. I am not sure if the server had a bad day or something but it certainly kinda ruined my day too. 5 bucks for an americano is quite expensive especially when the service is not good.

Jess

Google
Cool little coffee shop with a nice ambience. The latte I got tasted great as well. My only real complaint is it’s pretty expensive… I spent $7.50 (+ $1 tip, but that’s my own thing) for a medium latte.

Kevin L.

Google
Let me preface that this was a weekend in October so I’m sure the store on a normal day is better. We were waiting outside for 15 minutes when they decided to take the menu off the window and limit the menu drastically. They did not toast the English muffin for our breakfast sandwich and all of the drinks turned out terrible. The spice chai smells delicious but it tastes like water. I paid $12 for a lukewarm, untoasted English muffin and an egg puck. Wouldn’t waste your time, go to the Dunkin 0.1 miles away

Yelp
I'm really glad that we found this place as opposed to going to one of the more well-known ones on the main streets whereby 9:00 a.m. there was already a line around the block here we were able to walk right in had no line and be served very quickly with a place to see and everything. Prices were really really good You can get food coffee teas just a great selection of everything I tried Vietnamese iced coffee which apparently has chicory in it and I really liked it with a little bit of cream and sugar. I would highly recommend going here

Yelp
A staple of downtown. I've been coming here since the mid-90s. New management a few times over the years, but the vibe I'm most familiar with is back.
google avatar

Roya J.

Yelp
Super strong latte, great tasting juice and the coconut coffee had a noticeable coconut flavor. It was better than what I've had in Hawaii. The shop is very cute with friendly staff.

Sheila S.

Yelp
Mellow vibe, really kind employees. Great selection of coffees, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, & lunch sandwiches. My berry smoothie is huge & delicious! Recommend highly!

Yelp
When I'm in the area, I love the coffee here. The wait staff is excellent, consistently. There is a certain type of artsy, welcoming person they tend to hire. The staff just wants to be working there, so ty for that. The muffins, scones, smoothies are also very good. For a local place, with great drinks, it's a keeper definitely. This is also the type of place you can hang out, read, meet a friend, work, whatever. The coffee is from Atomic I believe, which is why it is so good. I've also ordered iced tea from them, which they make why you wait by brewing special hot tea. Many flavors to choose from. Definitely a hit. Prices are reasonably for what you get.

Yelp
Great spot off the beaten path! Turkey sandwich and the breakfast sandwiches were delicious.

Yelp
The good: cozy welcoming atmosphere, nice-sounding menu selection, some friendly employees. However...I'm not likely to return because 1) the first employee who served me curtly advised me that the first two items I ordered were unavailable. No problem, but why not be friendly about it? 2) the salad was strangely tasteless. 3) The thing that really puts this place below four stars are the unfriendly signs in the bathroom. Example: "to be honest we'd rather you not poop in here. But if you must..." etc. Really? Just...kind of off-color.

Yelp
I got two simple iced coffees with cream sugar and hazelnut. The coffee was burnt tasting. They didn't ask me how much cream or sugar and barely put any in. The hazelnut syrup had a weird taste to it. We ended up dumping them out.

Dj B.

Yelp
booberry iced latte was god awful. for $8 you think it'd be good. probably the worst one I've ever had, ice melted in 5 minutes

Yelp
Quality coffee with a great ambiance. Quaint atmosphere and friendly employees make this place a must stop if in Salem!
google avatar

Oscar L.

Yelp
Bagels were very tasty and the bread can actually be substituted with croissants or focaccia! The service was great and the cashier was friendly and patient. The lines can get long during the month of October due to the influx of tourists. As a result, seating is very limited.
google avatar

Joshua J.

Yelp
The coffee shop has a nice entrance and normal decorated interior - not all witched out like most places in Salem. There isn't much seating so this coffee shop seems more grab-and-go. Service was quick, thankfully! I was excited to see they offered a hot apple cider and it was delicious. The lemon scone however was more like a lemon stone, it was pretty hard and was probably made earlier that day. I stopped in around 2:30pm.

Bridgette M.

Yelp
There is so much potential here! Super cute location and very cute decor. But, the food unfortunately was not fresh. We got avocado toast, egg sandwich, and two coffees. The bread that it came on was unfortunately stale, and the avocado was not fresh but straight out of a package. The coffees likewise tasted like the coffee machines rarely are cleaned (burnt bean residue). I believe this place could be great! Just needs a little more fine tuning. Thank you.

Drew U.

Yelp
This used to be my favorite cafe to stop in for coffee while in downtown Salem. The shop used to brew Atomic coffee, a smooth tasting, high caffeinated locally roasted brand. When I stopped in this morning, I got their new coffee, and it was horrible. It has a bad after taste. I will not be supporting this shop anymore. Such a disappointment.

Mia W.

Yelp
This place is slightly off the main drag of Salem but it was so good! The cashier was so sweet and kind. There was a limited pastry selection but their breakfast options were very broad and the apple cinnamon muffin I had was delicious. The place is very cute with lots of fun art on the wall and decorations. Coffee was good - fun little fall menu!
google avatar

Jenn B.

Yelp
The Boston Cream Mocha Speciality Coffee alone is worth a trip to this coffeehouse! Absolutely delectable! Beats out Starbucks & Dunkin's 10/1. Building is a cute find decorated with local art for purchase. Some minimalistic seating dashed throughout. Egg sandwiches were also delicious, very fluffy eggs that feel homemade, bagels are warm and tasty! Service for food is not as quick if you are in a rush, but is worth the wait! They also have fresh smoothies and juices and the Avocado Toast is next up on my list of things to try!
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
Stopped in for a pick-me-up on a hot summer day. Got an iced latte and a Nantucket Nectar - yum! Staff were helpful and we had a big table to relax for a bit before going off for more sightseeing. The location was really convenient. I'd come back here again.

Tricia D.

Yelp
Amazingly fresh sandwiches - so delish. Great atmosphere and terrific service. Very friendly and comfortable. Ginger tea with lemon honey so good!
google avatar

Krista R.

Yelp
We tried 2 or 3 different Coffee shops in Salem and this was the only one I liked. They have a cider donut that is so good. They also have a black forest latte that is delicious.
google avatar

Josh B.

Yelp
Staff were friendly. Service was quick. I tried their candy corn coffee and it was pretty bland. The coffee was a let down, but I also haven't found a decent coffee spot in the small town so perhaps this is the towns standard.
google avatar

Barbara L.

Yelp
If you're a coffee snob like me, stay away. They need regular QC and calibration on the espresso machine it seems. My drink was a quad iced oat latte. The espresso had that bitter/dirty/not fresh taste. I suppose it could be a combo of things but, D- for it. The sandwich on the other hand was good! I had a veggiw sandwich and the bread and veggies were all fresh and delish.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute coffee shop and great coffee. We went two days in a row while in town because we liked it so much. We got the caramel delight latte.

Yelp
This is a super cute little coffee shop located right in the heart of downtown Salem. It's a great little spot that has a ton of delicious drinks and small pastry bites! My wife and I came here to start our fall day in Salem. We were really needing to use the restroom, but this place unfortunately doesn't have one. I get that it's probably due to tourists overrunning Salem this time of year, but it was a little disappointing. Thankfully, there's a helpful website that shows where bathrooms are in Salem in you are looking for one! Now that that's out of the way, I will say this shop is super awesome. They have some delicious seasonal drinks. I had the Boston Cream Mocha, which was delicious and creamy but not too sweet. My wife had the Pumpkin Spice Latte, which was also not too sweet but had great flavor. All around, both drinks were fab! We had apple cider donuts as a small snack, and they were DELIGHTFUL! This set a pretty high bar! Definitely one of my favorite donut flavors now. Lastly, I wanna shout out the staff here and the cool decor. The staff are really friendly and nice. That is such a rarity nowadays. Thank you for your kind service! The art on the walls is super cool too. It adds to the ambiance and vibe of this great little spot. I also love that there are lots of seats in the shop!

Yelp
Great drinks. We got PSL, matcha and apple cider for the kids. Apple cider is the same one you buy from grocery store or local farm. Hubby said PSL puts Starbucks' PSL to shame. Matcha was really good. Food was ok-ok. Didn't like that they microwaved the eggs (from the egg beaters). They charge extra for everything. And I had to wait for over 10 minutes past the time promised. When I asked if we could cancel the order, they told me it was too late and the food wasn't even ready within minutes. They should have honored our wish of cancelling it. 3 stars for slow service and not allowing us to cancel it and overpriced sandwich for a microwaved egg beaters. When we are in town, we'll just get their drinks and eat elsewhere.

Yelp
Awesome little coffee shop across the way from Nocturne. I actually went twice (so far) and got a pumpkin latte and candy corn cold brew, both were very good and fresh! The customer service was great and everyone I interacted with was super friendly. It was a bit of a wait but worth it! Support local!
google avatar

Marie P.

Yelp
Great dirty chai latte! Super friendly barista and cashier. Thank you for the change for my parking meter :) very cute and chill atmosphere with fun music. I appreciated the lovely start to my day in wonderful Salem!
google avatar

Elaine M.

Yelp
Came here to grab a quick coffee and breakfast before hitting the usual tourist attractions. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I ordered the Almond Joy coffee and an avocado toast. The coffee was great, a really nice treat. The avocado toast was good but not exceptional. The avocado was sliced onto the toast while I prefer it to be mashed. I do really like the everything bagel seasoning on it.
google avatar

Karen H.

Yelp
Coffee was good. Had only one option for donuts and muffins. Cashier was nice but barista was not friendly at all.
google avatar

Lora L.

Yelp
Ordered a latte. If you want coffee flavor get extra shot. Or more. We ordered a 16oz add a shot. Still was milk forward. No bathroom do you can enjoy your coffee in a mug while crossing your legs. (I wouldn't go back for this alone.). Open your restrooms when your serving liquids !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Libby T.

Yelp
The toasted coconut coffee was amazing and paired perfectly with a muffin! Also tried the egg & cheese bagel with sausage. Was a perfect quick, local bite!
google avatar

Yelp
Had to stop back at this little place before we left Salem! Their almond joy & pumpkin pie latte did not disappoint. If you are in the area, definitely stop by.

Yelp
I enjoy coming to this coffee house. It's in the heart of Downtown Salem. I may not come out as much as I used to, but it's so picturesque to be able to site at a table of a sidewalk of a cobblestone street. The coffees and café drinks are fabulous (my go to is the Big Kahuna ‍) and they have a limited but wonderful selection of breakfast sandwiches and a decent pick for bagels. The Almond Joy is also quite tasty I also enjoy the art up on the walls, it's a nice little place to hang out, unwind, chat, and stop long enough to smell the roses before you have to rush off. The staff are always pleasant, oh and they have a rewards card that gets you $2 off. It's something lol.

Yelp
Delicious coffee , friendly staff, great location. Highly recommend this place. They had high quality coffee and a variety of flavors and other beverages.

Yelp
Their Milky Way Latte is delicious but after experiencing an incredibly rude encounter I don't know if I can go back. I had gone there at 4 PM and closing was posted as 7 PM. I was drinking my coffee and sitting there, browsing on my phone, when one of the girls working there calls out that they are closing in two minutes. The ten or so patrons and I all look at each other, a bit confused, and don't really move at first. I mean they were closing three hours early. Almost immediately after the announcement, the girls working there put on heavy metal music and put the volume all the way up, until everyone left. The music was so loud you could hear it across the street. This is absolutely horrible. Never mind the closing time, I can ignore that, but I cannot ignore the music. I get very startled at unexpected loud noises, and this startled me. But more than that, what if there was someone who was noise sensitive in the cafe? Someone who had hyperacutis or tinnitus? Or someone on the Autism Spectrum? Or another disability? It was absolutely reckless and intolerable.
google avatar

Lisa L.

Yelp
Friendly staff! Very accommodating to me wanting any of there flavors without dairy! They checked in there allergy book of what did and didn't have dairy and I walked away with a delicious Iced mocha snickers coffee with soy milk.

John B.

Yelp
While in Salem on a quick little getaway we walked to Front Street Coffee. It's in a great historic area. We has sandwiches and coffee. I had an ice coffee that was delicious. I also purchased a bag of local roasted coffee.
google avatar

Yelp
There coconut coffee is my favourite. I enjoy the atmosphere when they have indoor seating.

Yelp
THE BEST SALAD IN SALEM. AND CHEAP!!! I am so happy I decided to stop in! Seriously- this salad made my day! They have little slips you can place your salad order on so it eliminates confusion. I got a coffee as well. I love the artwork inside- it's all local art. Such a great place to relax- really soothing acoustic/ soft music. I love it here and I'm sorry I didn't spend time sooner!!!
google avatar

Secil A.

Yelp
Front Street is a hippie, nice place. I had their mocha and made my own sandwich with avocado, turkey and bacon. The sandwich I believe didn't sit very well later in the day but it tasted pretty good at the time. My mocha was also good. They offer almond and soy milk which is a great plus. On the walls, they had art for sale which was quite interesting. It's a nice local coffee shop but nothing that really spoke to me or would make me think I should go back

Michael K.

Yelp
I was in Salem visiting my mom at the hospital. Was having a rough day a needed a coffee. I drove out of my way to go to this shop instead of a chain. I walked up to the counter and before I could even ask the servers how they were doing the male server bluntly stated "do you have a mask?". The female server stated at me like I had just punched her dog. I didn't realize the mask was a requirement. Neither server was remotely friendly and I felt like I wasn't welcome during the 2 minutes I was in the shop. I hate writing bad reviews but felt I needed to get this one off my chest. The coffee was actually pretty damn good. Long story short, good coffee. Horrible service.
google avatar

Robin G.

Yelp
Love their iced lattes, one of the best in MA. Get it with hazelnut and banana, trust me. Also we live their juices, wish I lived closer and could get them more often. The Apple, pear, grape, lemon and lime was incredible.
google avatar

Erin T.

Yelp
Disappointed. Hours said it was open until 6. Walked 10 min to get here - walked in at 5:02 and they said they were closing. I mentee their hours on yelp said six. "We can't control yelp hours?" Yes you can if you are thoughtful propriters.

Tania A.

Yelp
I consider myself a bit of a latte snob and have spent the last 2 years in Salem on the search for the best latte. This is it. Once I "discovered" Front Street, my search was over. Their seasonal latte menu is always creative, their drinks are the perfect amount of sweetness, and everyone who works there is super friendly. Oh and they have GF bread for sammies :)
google avatar

Ginia W.

Yelp
Cozy and sweet spot in downtown! Easy to find and ample seating. Lots of yummy options to drink. Food and and smoothies available as well as began options for everything. A nice stop!

Candace D.

Yelp
Always check you order before leaving Front Street. Nothing like getting back to the office and find out once again that they forgot part of your order that you paid for no less. No quality control. Will I every learn??????
google avatar

Sydney M.

Yelp
Just had a coffee of the day in a for here mug and it was rich and creamy! Everyone there is pretty nice even when it's busy.
google avatar

Minnie W.

Yelp
This is where the locals go - art, friendly faces, and yummy breakfast/smoothies/coffee - a true Salem gem.
google avatar

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
I have been here a few times...I like some things about it but feel like other things could be improved. First, the pros: 1. The sandwiches come with chips and a pickle, and you can choose add ons for a reasonable price. I got a yummy sandwich with crispy bacon, and the bread was toasted nicely. 2. The salads are really good and fresh. I like the options. 3. Chai tea latte was fine...not the best I have ever had, but it was okay. Cons: 1. It's very cluttered in there...I don't love the atmosphere. 2. The staff varies...some are really friendly and nice, and others make you feel like you're just bugging them when you place an order. 3. I wouldn't go here for coffee...there are much better places in Salem.
