Yelp
I have been to the Inn three times now, and, each time I go the experience just keeps getting better. http://www.frontstreetinn.com/
The rooms:
Spacious, comfortable beds (ye-ahhhh baybeeeee!!!!) antique furniture, modern bathrooms. Ultra-soft linens, 3 ply toilet paper (for my sensitive bum) and a large jacuzzi tub in most rooms.
The grounds:
Meticulously kept, not a tree leaf or blade of grass out of place. The sun only shines on the Inn while all the Inn's neighbors are in the rain.
The breakfast:
YUMMYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!! Traditional southern breakfast w/ grits (I hate grits, so, kiss my grits) eggs, waffles, thick sliced apple-wood bacon, real maple syrup, daily fresh-baked muffins, etc one day per week, otherwise, lemon poppy muffins, hot croissants, almond coffee cake, oat bran breads, inn-made granola, yogurt, sliced cheeses, or delicious quiche and sometimes smoked salmon, a freshly baked Strata or Pan Perdu. F-me, I am going back right now!!!!
Amenities:
Complimentary wifi (for porn surfing), partnership with a local masseuse for on site massage in dedicated ultra-comfortable massage suites (not rub and tug). On property parking. Free pot of gold. Free use of the owners yacht (j/k on the last two)
Location:
One block from the Cape Fear River (no, Robert Deniro or Robert Mitchum will not be there). The Riverwalk is totally cool, and, there are many good restaurants to choose from. The USS North Carolina battleship is nearby, they have a great tour.
OK, I love the joint. If you ever find your way to Wilmington (which you should, it is totally cool), make sure you stay here.
Rest it, ride it, hide it, just don't wrench it.
