Absolutely enjoyed the weekend trip to the farm. We celebrated our anniversary here and it was perfect. Inge and Jans are wonderful hosts and down to earth. They helped us with everything. I also slept like a baby with the chirping sound of the birds. The lake is also relaxing. I found the restaurants around the town a bit expensive so we cooked a few times as well. Just watch out for the mosquitoes outside the tent.

This place is an oasis of nature and calm not far from the lunacy that can be Toronto. Host Yens curates beautiful tents with thoughtful attention to the connection with the nature that surrounds it. Campfire, a hot shower, and a wee dram, and a better nights sleep you will never have. No electricity makes you unhook from social media for a night or two and be one with the crickets and frogs.

Phenomenal experience at the camp! If you want to be connected with nature and enjoy tranquility this is an absolute must. Also super close to amazing wineries to get day drunk and easy walk back to camp. Owner and his wife were super hospitable and attentive. Love to see a family own businesses thrive.

Fronterra is a slice of heaven on Earth! We had the most amazing time staying there for my birthday. Incredible, luxurious tents equipped with toilet, kitchen and beautiful outdoor shower.. all located in serene woodland. (We got to see fireflies at night too!) Inge and Jans are extremely kind and accommodating owners, we enjoyed cutting fresh flowers and taking the canoe out to North Beach. They went the extra mile to ensure we had everything and celebrated my bday with me! It was the perfect glamping retreat, I’d go back in a heartbeat!

What a magical weekend. Fronterra by far exceeded our expectations. Jens and his family are so welcoming, great to talk to and had excellent recommendations nearby. They had left a gorgeous bouquet of flowers for our anniversary and offered the canoe for a sunset cruise. The tents and location are perfect. It's so serene waking up to the birds and beautiful marsh. Cooking on a cast iron outside is game changer! The shower is super warm and a really neat experience. We cannot say enough good about this place and we certainly will be back with our kiddo!

Our third magical visit. We love this place. A totally different kind of relaxation. Secluded marsh site offered spectacular views toward North Beach. Cicadas, birds, and frogs in song. We cooked fantastic al fresco gourmet meals with our friends, staying in nearby tents, accompanied by wine from the county. Hot shower open to the sky- wonderful! Comfortable luxurious bed - best sleep this year. |We used this site as a base to explore local vineyards on our bikes. Our hosts were friendly and kind. Well worth a stop to the flower garden ( brought fresh and dried flowers home) and learning about their future plans and integrated use of the land. |Can’t wait for next year‘s visit!

I stayed here September 8-9 and my experience was wonderful! I absolutely loved the accommodations, the bed was very comfortable, the tent was spacious and well appointed. It was a chilly weekend but the tent was so well insulated and the bedding was warm so the cold didn’t bother me one bit! The nature was beautiful at my lakeside tent and the sunset was unforgettable. 10/10 would recommend!
