"Located right next to the Dallas Love Field Airport, the Frontiers of Flight Museum dives into aviation history, beginning in the 1920s through World War II and the modern era. The museum also touches on Dallas/Fort Worth's tremendous role in aviation. Most visitors here are pretty serious about all forms of air travel, but that's not to say that mildly interested passersby won't find the museum worthwhile." - Priya Krishna

What a hidden gem! Located right next to Dallas Love Field, this place is for you if you love planes, military history, or learning about flight. I took my wife and two kids here and we spent almost 2 hours going through the entire building and exhibits. Don’t forget to circle the perimeter of the building as they have outside exhibits as well. And if you have kids, make time to stop by the children’s play area on the first floor. My kids had a blast climbing up in the makeshift air traffic control tower and playing in the miniature jet.

We chose to come here during our little mini vacation because we love history. This museum was such a great educational experience, loved the little interactive set ups they had. So many different aircraft to view and loved that they had a kid play area for our toddler who also had a blast with that. Plenty of parking, staff were friendly and the museum was well kept. Got a few pictures of the play area but wished I snapped more of other exhibits. Admission is: Adults, $15 4 and older, $10 3 and under, free

We enjoyed our visit! I've never been to an aeronautical museum, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Such an amazing range of exhibits from The Wright Flyer, all sorts of military aircraft, commercial and private aircraft to the Apollo 7 Command Module, and everything in between. I liked the layout of the museum and was given helpful suggestions by the Greeter on the best way to see all of the exhibits. We definitely recommend this place for flight enthusiasts, kids or those that are interested in history.

I had a great time here. To be able to see some of these planes up close was awesome. The men that greets you at the door are awesome and knowledgeable of the planes. It amaze me to see how far planes have came. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.

The US has many of the best aviation museums in the world and this one ranks highly among them. It has a great collection of aircraft from the beginning of flight (e.g. an A-7, EA-6B, F-105, F/A-18) and several more uncommon exhibits (e.g. the only V-173 prototype, the Apollo 7 command module, an SR-71 simulator and an amazing display on the history of dirigibles including artifacts from the SS Hindenburg). They also have a great collection of models including a very detailed B-17 showing signs of weathering and battle damage. The volunteers on duty include very knowledgeable veterans who are happy to share their experiences about the aircraft on display. It also has a couple of galleries with more of a local civil aviation focus dedicated to the evolution of Southwest Airlines since its inception and the rise and fall of Braniff. Many of the displays are interactive (especially the ones related to Southwest) which I think would be interesting for kids and help them learn. The posters are also very comprehensive and well designed. Definitely worth checking out for all aviation enthusiasts passing through Dallas. Would recommend budgeting at least 3-4 hours to take it all in properly.

This was a great museum. We all loved visiting. Lots to take in and look at. My son loved the WW1 and WW2 section. I was really impressed looking at the Apollo 7 landing capsule. It was amazing that what was holding the door together was a bunch of Phillips screws! I didn’t notice until we got back to the hotel, but the map they gave you could be folded into a paper airplane, which was a cool touch. We spent a couple of hours here and it was definitely worth what we paid to get in.

Friendly and helpful staff that left you alone to explore or offered information if you wanted it. Not a very large place so not many exhibits, but we enjoyed what was there.

What a great museum. I didn’t even realize it was there until I went to see a Coldplay by Strings concert there. The show was fantastic. Long enough for you to enjoy and then afterwards we explored a little of the museum.
