My favorite burgers and chalupas in the city, no contest. The food here is amazing, the burgers are well seasoned, cooked perfectly, and have wonderful toasted buns. The fries are amazing, great seasoning that is used in moderation. The tots are phenomenal, perfectly crispy. The chalupa shells are made in house and are phenomenal. One of my favorite meals here in San Antonio, 100% recommend if you want great burgers and fries or chalupas.

I chose this day for my BMT graduation. I wanted to support somewhere local to San Antonio and this place did not disappoint. I'm glad I chose it. They had a nice screened in outdoor place to sit and eat, no indoor seating. It was very nice. Very good prices. The milkshake was amazing and the chicken tenders and burgers were the best me and my husband have had. My parents really enjoyed thier burgers too. My best friend got a frozen shake.

Flavor: B Service: A Tea: D Solo dining: A This place appears like it’s a lean-to shed of a rundown old corner store building that now houses a boutique, barber shop, and burger stand (airport-hair-care-tire-center vibes). Before I could get up to the window, a woman leans out of her truck and asks “You haven’t been here before, have you sir?” I acknowledged that she was right and then she just said “Well everything is good, everything.” Endearing level 10 though not exactly helpful. I got the “El Big Boy” at my order-taker’s suggestion. It’s hard to say no to bacon, maple syrup, a fried egg, tots, grilled onions, and cheese. All of those flavors came through in a teamwork-makes-the-dream-work kinda way, except the syrup which I couldn’t detect. And the burger itself was flavorful too… no toppings carrying the flavor load here. You could even see the black pepper in the burger patty. My heart fluttered a little. But with all this greatness, the burger was too dry for me to love it. So I’m giving it a B on flavor because juiciness impacts flavor. Cooking the burger a little shorter and making that egg over-easy so the yolk oozes out could be game-changers for this promising creation. The perfectly-cooked-and-seasoned crinkle-cut fries and the “dream sauce” (akin to Chick-fil-A sauce but lighter and better) were great complements. Drinks are limited to can Cokes or a few flavors of agua fresca. I got the watermelon which was a little intense for my taste. If you’re dining “in” you’re sitting at picnic tables on a screened-in porch (and sweating in all the places if you’re there on a summer afternoon). I was there when we had the perfect number-of-parties-to-number-of-wall-fans ratio so everyone could sit in front of one and no one had to die. I did notice one smart mama sent her daughter to order and wait so she could stay in her air conditioned vehicle until her burger was ready (#reasonstohavekids). Nice spot to get a delicious burger 🍔 i recommend the avocado, bacon,cheese, grilled onion it the best. Its only outdoor seating but they have fans and screen in spot. Excellent customer service...Will definitely come back agian

little hole in the wall restaurants need more attention. I've known about this place for about 6mo. always decided to go to WAB. FREDDY'S. DQ. or change it up and get chicken or pizza. because i always felt this place wouldn't be worth it. the burger is pretty freekin good. imagine adding chilli to you burger and you can still TASTE the burger separate from the chilli. service was great. burger size and portions are filling. you can't go wrong here. GIVE THIS PLACE A CHANCE. took the family of adults. 5meals. 80-85$ not bad.

Frozen Dreams is a must visit near Lackland AFB! The shakes are so delicious; especially the Banana Split Milkshake which I believe is hands down the best around being that it’s flavorful, and totally satisfying. The burgers are delicious, juicy, and everything is affordable. Plus, they’re supportive of our local military community, which makes this place even more special. Highly recommend stopping by for a great meal and a sweet treat!

My family and I were in town for my brother’s BMT graduation and just happened to be passing by frozen Dreams. We decided to give it a try with out question it was one of the best places we ate at.The burgers are delicious, the french fries have a seasoning but I’m not very sure what it is, but it compares similarly to Cajun fries not quite as spicy. The milkshakes and banana split 10 out of 10. Their customer service was top-notch. If I am ever back in San Antonio I will definitely be back for more.

I had the chalupas and the crispy tacos. They were delicious and homemade shells. The lettuce, tomatoes and cheese were fresh just the way I like them. My husband had the double cheeseburger and it was so delicious too. Thank you Frozen Dreams for a nice dinner at an awesome price.

Went during lunch on a Monday with a coworker. We were the only ones there the whole time till it was time to leave and honestly I'm surprised! The burger was AMAZING and the fries were that perfectly crisp you get before you start toying with "burnt" with just the right amount of seasoning and salt. By far the best burger I've had in San Antonio not just by the great price but by quality alone.

To start, this place is a hidden gem! A hole-in-the-wall don't -tell-anyone but you want to tell everyone, kind of restaurant. It would have five stars, but I'm not a fan of the parking arrangement. To order: you park, get out, and walk up to the window--it's like a walk-up drive thru. After you place your order, they'll call you and you pick up your food on the right side of the building. It's surrounded by mesh screens for an indoor/outdoor eating experience. The prices are about the same as a family of three (3) going through a drive thru. Remember, you're paying for quality, homemade food made fresh. It is very delicious! The proportions for what you pay for, are well worth it. They give you enough to have leftovers! (I enjoy when restaurants do this). I most definitely am going to keep going back for more

Wowsers!!! Get all your favorites here!! Burgers are awesome, Snacks are insane. Service is exceptional Go Hogg or "DOG" like me and get a corn dog, crispy dogs(cheese inside)! The fried side mix was also insane.... When you can't make up your mind! Hit em up! Enjoy

Delicious! My daughter wanted a burger after graduation. We went by Frozen Dreams. One of her MTI's told here this was a great spot for burgers. You order from the front window and then you step inside the patio to grab your order or eat. The ladies were so sweet! The burgers were fantastic! This place could be easily missed. It's next to a barbershop in a neighborhood. Definitely worth a shot to try!

I am beyond thrilled we found this place. Have been waiting for a Friday with nice weather to come and enjoy their 4x$24 Friday special that comes with 4 burgers, 4 fries and a 2 liter soda. We were so thrilled that burgers can be made to order since every member of my party, except me, needs to have theirs uniquely made . The fries were delicious, very well cooked and seasoned. The burger was also really really good! They were big sizes and every one really enjoyed theirs. We intended to get some of their shakes to go, but by the time we were done we are so full! I 100% recommend this place.. I will definitely be back and try some of their desserts!

Oh man this place is a find!! Don't be put off by the exterior or the neighborhood, it's worth the trip. You pull up and order at a window right near where you park. You can take it to go or there's a patio area to the right. It's not weather enclosed but there's at least screens to try and keep flies out. Also be aware everyone picks up their orders at the window in this area so maybe grab a table towards the back. The reason we came though was the Friday night 4 for $24 burgers fries and a two liter. Feed four for under $30? Worth it. And the crazy part is you can get each burger dressed how you like. So we were definitely sold. Burgers were very good and fries had a really good seasoning. There's several kinds off brand two liters to choose from, RC Cola, Sunkist and on brand like big red. The special is supposed to be to go but if you eat there you get cups of ice and your food in a basket instead of a to go bag. We will be regulars. The lady who took our order was super sweet and answered the few questions we had. This place must be a go to for people in the area because business was steady. I even saw a DoorDash pick up. I didn't try the treats but they have many and I will upon my next visit, or the visit after, or the visit after that one.

ABSOLUTELY BANGIN!!!! Burgers are cooked to perfection between two insanely soft buns with crispy bacon!? Forgetta bout it DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!

This place is exactly the "hole-in-the-wall" that San Antonio needs more of! DELICIOUS, AFFORDABLE, QUICK, AND DELICIOUS! I have been to this place twice now and I find myself craving it on a weekly basis! Everything is made fresh and the portions are large ! I highly suggest this place if you're looking for a good meal and on quick buck.

YOU MUST GO HERE. Hole in the wall place...literally. You order outside where there is a little window. They have an indoor/outdoor spot to eat. I got their most popular burger with side of fries and vanilla shake. This burger was sooo juicy and 100% will satisfy you. Their crinkle cut fries were crispy and thick with seasoning. Everything is reasonably priced. The workers are very nice and quick service!

I found this hidden jewel while looking for a good burger place from where I work. This place popped up and needless to say the burgers are DELICIOUS!! The staff is friendly, Adrianna was who greeted us and helped us by letting us know what they have to offer. They have a cute covered patio with some fans. I will recommend this place to everyone at work!!

First things first, the food was a solid 5 stars. The bun was nice and toasty, the burger patty was the perfect thickness, juicy and seasoned very well, the bacon was crispy, produce was fresh and jalapeños were spicy just like I like it. The fried pickles were thick and crispy and probably the best I've had in town. To drink I had the pineapple Agua Fresca and it was was great too. Sweet, but not too sweet. It was very refreshing on a hot day. Speaking of hot day, the restaurant does have an outdoor covered and screened in area to sit, but no indoor seating. I would definitely go back to eat here again, but maybe not in the middle of the summer. In their defense, they do serve a lot of frozen treats, but it gets a little warm if you are not eating those. This is the only reason I did not give Frozen Dreams 5 stars.

Terrible customer service. I've gone to this location since a kid and it was always a place I loved to go. I couldn't be more disappointed in how they've grown to treat their customers.

This place has THE BEST Cheeseburgers Ive tasted here in San Antonio Texas. The buns are buttery with well cooked hamburger patties and delicious slice of cheese. The french fries are crinkle cut with seasoned salt which takes the flavor to a whole other level of goodness. Their milkshakes are so so good also. They also serve these crunchy tacos with a homemade salsita to go with them. The service is always great with zero complaints. It's a fun little place to sit and have your meal or take out to enjoy at near by Rodriguez Park!

Old school classic burgers. Fresh and tasty. Seasoned fries ftw. Nice selection of add ons, toppings and side condiments. Unpretentious and great. It's off the beaten path but worth the effort.

The burgers and meals they have are wonderfully cheap AND delicious . I did take out but im sure it's just as good inside.

Good food and good aguas frescas. The only thing I did not like was the fried mushrooms. The crust was gross and after I took off the crust the mushrooms were squishy, small and not good.

The service was great, the lady was so nice. The food was amazing taste freshly made and definitely handled with care. We ate outside, it was nice and cool! Felt homey.

Hole in the wall serving great food! My coworkers and I went here during lunch. Quite a few people but eight seating. You order at the window then can go into the covered patio area and wait for your number to be called. I ordered a cheeseburger combo with grilled mushrooms and pepper Jack cheese. I caution all to either ask how much the items are or know you'll be charged extra. It's not noted and switching cheese was about $1.50 extra. I would have preferred to know the charge ahead of time. I'll be back to try their frozen treats as many patrons came for just that!

Burger was really good. It's been days since I left and I am still craving that burger.

Burger and Fries are always amazing here! The onion rings are delicious too! On Fridays they do a good special deal of like 4 burgers, 4 fries for like $20. Place is great for lunch!

I work right down the street at Division and I enjoy getting a bite to eat at this place on my lunch break. They are quick to have your order ready and the food is really good. I recommend this place to you......

A San Antonio staple. A hole in the wall, been around forever joint that is hands down the best! Frozen dreams has all your American favorites from burgers to shakes, everything is delicious! Over the years I've tried their burgers, shakes, tenders, fries, tots & fried pickles. It's all good all of the time! You can either order to go or eat on the patio. The wait is a little longer then normal because everything is fresh, like your grandma made it! Definitely stop by this small local business that's been around for years & has always been the best!

Hidden jewel outside of Lackland AFB. They have the best burgers on that side of town...possibly San Antonio. It's a small place that offers other things besides burgers, but our favorite are their burgers. We normally pick up our food, but they do have a small area where you can sit and enjoy your food. I recommend you call your order in, and it's usually ready in 10 minutes or by the time you get there. Quality is always consistent and fresh.

The only place for burgers. I like burgers, but I don't eat them all the time and they aren't my first choice when dining out. But if the burgers came from Frozen Dreams, they would be. One of the best burgers I've had that did not use organic ground beef, Brandt beef or some other fancy beef. The patties are fresh and not frozen. Order your good at the window in the front, facing the street and pick up your food from the window on the side in the seating area. The food is cooked to order. So this means you're gonna have to wait about 10 minutes for your food. This ain't your run of the mill fast food joint and you'll be really happy it's not. Prices are extremely reasonable. $6.67 for a GIANT, tasty burger with fries and a drink. Yes! Mouthwatering goodness in a burger. Juicy, full of flavor, and perfectly cooked. Plus they toast the buns. The tator tots were soo crispy - just crispy enough for a good crunch but not overcooked. We came here on a Friday night. Be sure to check out the Friday night special: 4 burgers, 4 fries, and a 2 liter soda for $14. To go only. They will let you get the special and eat here for a small upcharge of $0.50 for each cup of ice so $2 extra dollars. Seating is outside. If it's hot, be sure to sit near one of the two outdoor fans (on opposite sides of the seating area). This is a family run restaurant and everyone is friendly and helpful. They also have fish burgers, chicken burgers, chicken tenders, tacos, corn dogs, and grilled cheese. They give a 10% military discount. Bathrooms are next door in the barber shop. Next time I'm in San Antonio, I'm heading straight to Frozen Dreams.

Went here for dinner and grabbed a burger. I added a fried egg, jalapeño, onions and it came out beautiful. The bun is perfectly toasted and the rest of the burger was very flavorful. melted in my mouth. Also had the fried pickles, which were the best I've ever had. Lastly I got a strawberry milkshake, and omg it was so good. It The service was great. Food came out quickly and everyone was nice. The seating area is a screened in porch, but I liked the atmosphere. Great place.

Working down the road this place, my coworkers order from FD all the time. The burgers are busting out of the buns, but the great prices won't leave your wallet empty. They have plenty of delicious toppings like avocado, mushrooms, and bacon but the plain Jane does the job just fine. The crinkle cut papas, not always my favorite, hit the spot as well. Their frozen delights like like banana splits, shakes, and raspas are on point. The mangonada being my favorite of the cold items. Make sure to give this place a try if you're on SA's westside or within a 30-40 mile radius.

Before Covid I had a favorite burger joint, but being a small family owned location they were heavily impacted and they closed there location. After going here for the first time I was so impressed I really felt like I had a new top burger place. The burger is well seasoned and it reminds me of a very classic burger with traditional topppings. I feel like its hard to categorize a favorite burger because you can be in the mood for different things at different times, but this one hits the spot for me. The fried pickles were so good and had a nice little kick that I enjoyed and everything seemed fresh and flavorful. I was a bit confused initially with the name when I heard it and didn't expect them to make really good burgers or really even make burgers. Haha

My son, recently graduated, asked to go here after hearing his MTI talk about it. What a great suggestion!! This is one of those little "hole-in-the-wall" type places that you want to find when you're new / visiting the area. Its a cute little burger joint, and they are delicious. I forgot the name of which one my son and I ordered but it had grilled onions, jalapeños, bacon, and condiments! Holy Hades!! It was delicious. Any of these burger joints got nothing on this place!! My son commented that the fries tasted like "chicken-in-a-buscuit" crackers!! The fries were seasoned and crispy outside with a soft inside.. . . Crinkle cut and cooked perfectly!! A must if in the area for an off the beaten path burger joint!!

Really enjoyed my chicken burger here. We were told later that their specialties were the tacos and burgers which we didn't get to try but really wanted to. Crinkle cut fries were fresh and delish. Price was a bit high but would definitely eat at again!

Sorry, seems I don't agree with the majority, but that's the beauty of this. The burger was good until I bit in & hurt my tooth with what seemed to be old, dried bacon. At first, I blew it off but as I kept eating I kept biting more & more, then my teeth hurt more & more, until I opened the burger & dumped out the old nasty hard bacon. I gave it a fair chance in hopes it was just a small random piece, but it wasn't, after looking at it, I would not have served it if I was the cook/owner. But, to them it was good to go. I asked my family if they had any issues, they didn't. Their food was good & they seemed to really enjoy it, so I`ll leave it at that. I also ordered a snow cone which was more of clumped hard ice, not good. I wouldn't come back.

So flipping good. Tacos are even the bomb so I ordered cheeseburger combo and an order 3 crispy tacos. Wowser. Definitely going back.

The place might not look much than just a hole in the wall but the quality of their burgers and shakes is great, in addition they have other great items in their menu. Aesthetically it is what it is, just your local hole in the wall burger shack but I highly recommend people to go if you want a break from your traditional burger franchises.

The absolute best place to get a burger in San Antonio!!!! The buns on the burger are super soft and make the burger taste absolutely delicious!!! The tater tots are really good too. They have different burger specials that are a great option for dinner. They have an outside porch sitting area at a few picnic tables if you choose to stay, otherwise this is a order at the window type of place. This is definitely a word of mouth spot and I am so glad someone told me about it. I honestly never knew this place existed so close to the base. They also offer a military discount!

Best burgers in town easily! Really enjoyed the onion rings as well, daughter enjoyed the pineapple agua fresca more than our local fruteria. Banana split was good but it was made with only vanilla ice cream, not three different flavors, only con....already visited twice in one week. Great covid friendly outdoor seating.

So I have been to this lil place many tymes n everytyme my food is ON POINT!!! ALWAYS GET THE BURGER!!! Super nice n the menu is extensive but with all the food stuff! They have it ALL from burgers to snow cones to shakes just all of it! I ordered 2 cheeseburger combos, oh yes with crinkle fries!!!! So let's start with the fact that these burgers r made to order, delicious n yummy! The bread is super soft it ur typical bun but better, patty good size seasoned well n when u open the wrapper it has that but of good grease u get from a great burger!! Canned soda but I am not mad about that, the food is awsum!! I will ALWAYZ go here for my burger fix! If u haven't tried this place u don't no what ur missing!!!

We went for lunch, it was a quaint little place the service was awesome everything was really nice the food was so amazing hot fresh made to order (Yes!! You can totally customize your Order!!) BIG BIG servings couldn't finish! Oh my gosh can't wait to go back love it!! Hot spot for a Burger and Fries or a old school Ice Cream treat! I can't even begin to list what's on the menu! Just go and trust me it's worth it, additional parking in the lot across the street/street side. Patio seating, and following Covid-19 rules.

The lady at the front window was not very nice and seemed deeply annoyed before we even ordered. My wife and I ordered burgers and I got a banana split to try. The wait was pretty long for two burgers, but I was hoping the food would be worth it. The burgers were both very salty, and the bacon was deeply soggy and unappetizing. The ice cream had decent flavor, but nothing that would make me come back.

Good food and great service. Definitely coming here again! My burger was juicy and my appetizers were hot & crispy, everything was cooked just right.

Hi been a while but I love the burgers and fries. This family owned business is friendly and clean. I been coming here when craving that perfect home made burger. When they started baking their own burger buns I was yea. All in all I can honestly say I enjoy that home made burger from Frozen Dreams. They also have other foods, flavored waters and fruit cups. Soo much more check it next time you get a chance.

Such sweet staff, always friendly and help with making these easier. Have been going here since I was in grade school. The burgers 5 !

My first time having it. I got the double cheeseburger with cheese fries. When I tell you this shyt was good af it was good af no lie. It rivals five guys burger. I may even prefer it because of the homemade burger and buns. Will be back before I leave Texas.
