20 Disney World Secrets You've Never Heard Before

"A film-themed boat attraction built on the foundations of a prior Norway-based dark ride: it reused the former attraction's ride vehicles and a similar track layout to create a new narrative experience tied to the popular animated franchise, demonstrating the parks' practice of recycling mechanical infrastructure into fresh storytelling." - Carlye Wisel Carlye Wisel Carlye Wisel is one of the nation's leading theme park journalists. This ride is located in the Norway pavilion of Epcot. It’s really popular and wait time reaches about an hour. We used the fast pass to skip the line and were able to get on the ride within 10 minutes. The ride itself is fun. Of course it runs the course showing different events fronts Frozen. At one point there was the inevitable “Let it go” sing along for half a minute. Then the boat ran backwards for a bit. The ride ends with a giant drop with a huge splash, that gets everyone wet, especially if you sit in front row. Overall it was one of my favorite rides in Epcot.

A must for any diehard Frozen fan. My neice Loves it! It's also a Hard pass for my (EPCOT-loving) hubby who remembers the old Norway ride "Malestrom" which was simply refit for the Frozen IP. Malestrom was a dark, somewhat scary ride. Nothing changed for the new ride except the look; the boat ride and tracks are still the same, it's still dark just no longer scary.. Unless you are afraid of Giant snow monsters, then maybe it's a little scary at one part.. Maybe.. But, if you don't have that old ride in mind, and you Don't find giant animatronic snowballs to be frightening, it's absolutely fine. The animatronics in general and specifically the screen-projections that make up the faces are noticeably aging. This ride could use some renovating but don't hold your breath; Disney's track record for taking care of it's older rides isn't great. If you want stunning tech go ride Guardians of the Galaxy and skip this ride entirely. To sum-up, if the wait times are down definitely give it a snowy whirl!! But I certainly wouldn't recommend a wait of its typical 2-3 hours to see it unless you have a hardcore Frozen fan in your party!! There is WAY too much else to see and do in EPCOT!

Popular ride located in the Norway Pavilion. You are transported on a boat through song and visuals from the Disney “Frozen” franchise. Fantastic ride for the entire family as it is slow and relaxing with small drops over waterfalls. Olaf is awesome! Given the popularity of this ride, I highly recommend that you get the lightning pass. Depending on when you go, the lines can be long.

The attraction takes you on a boat ride through Arendelle with animatronics of the characters and songs from the film. From the moment you enter the line, you’re immersed in the Frozen world, which is a big part of the ride’s appeal. Once onboard, you go through scenes featuring Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff. The highlight is the moment your boat moves backward into Elsa’s ice palace as she sings Let It Go. The animatronics look great and the atmosphere is overall an enjoyable experience. That said, the ride is surprisingly dark. Many sections are dim with loud sound effects and that can be scary for young kids, even if they love the movie. There are a couple of unexpected drops as well which might catch children off guard. One of the biggest downsides is the wait time. Frozen Ever After consistently draws long lines, although not as bad as when the attraction was first released. While the ride is charming and well done, it’s hard to justify waiting more than 60 minutes to experience it. Overall it’s a lovely ride with details and great moments for Frozen fans, but unless you catch it at a shorter wait time or use a Lightning Lane, it’s probably not worth standing in line for over an hour.

Visited this week and was disappointed as to the way they have the lines going into the ride. Very claustrophobic, so many barrels and boxes, kids were jumping up on them, jumping off onto people, would be nice to remove those obstacles and not have that crazy zigzag line. As well, was expecting a better ride, not much to look at. The movie Frozen has so much scenery that they could have added. So Sad about this ride.

This ride was really well done. Great animatronics, sound, effects. My daughter loved it. It was her favorite out of Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Great little drops and storytelling on a small boat without getting wet.

During peak crowds (holidays, weekends), wait times can climb even higher—sometimes well over an hour, and on rare busy days even exceeding 100 minutes.

Nice ride for kids but us grown ups loved it too- especially Elsa. When you get to the sauna display you’re almost at the end, just fyi. Expect to get a little wet! (Not too bad, I had my phone out and was okay, but definitely a good spritz!) the frozen gift shop at the end has so many gorgeous items! Must check it out!
