The attraction takes you on a boat ride through Arendelle with animatronics of the characters and songs from the film. From the moment you enter the line, you’re immersed in the Frozen world, which is a big part of the ride’s appeal.
Once onboard, you go through scenes featuring Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff. The highlight is the moment your boat moves backward into Elsa’s ice palace as she sings Let It Go. The animatronics look great and the atmosphere is overall an enjoyable experience.
That said, the ride is surprisingly dark. Many sections are dim with loud sound effects and that can be scary for young kids, even if they love the movie. There are a couple of unexpected drops as well which might catch children off guard.
One of the biggest downsides is the wait time. Frozen Ever After consistently draws long lines, although not as bad as when the attraction was first released. While the ride is charming and well done, it’s hard to justify waiting more than 60 minutes to experience it. Overall it’s a lovely ride with details and great moments for Frozen fans, but unless you catch it at a shorter wait time or use a Lightning Lane, it’s probably not worth standing in line for over an hour.
