On the Grid : Fruccola

"They offer fresh juices, customized salads to-go in eco-friendly packages; you can also have them on the spot. They have a tasty daily menu, and a standard one, including main courses, pastas, soups, desserts, brunch variations for the weekend, and those who have sweet tooth can choose from fresh pastries and cakes: some of them are gluten and sugar free, or even vegan." - Stylewalker

The food is good and there are some quite healthy options, but the prices are high and sometimes outrageous. This is especially true of salad items-which would be one of the most attractive features of this place if they weren’t trying to clean up with it. For instance, charge 490 forints for three small pieces of roasted zucchini, and the same for a small handful of olives. A spoonful of the cheapest seeds on the market-sunflower and pumpkin-costs 340. I paid 2700 for what in the end was a modest salad that had no animal products-no cheese or salmon etc. It’s fine for a one off but certainly not worth it for lunch on a regular basis. A little competition in the neighborhood would do this place some good.

A cozy and nice place in the heart of the city. They main focus is healthy food. You can put together your own salad from a wide scale of vegetables. They offer breakfast and lunch menu as well. Be careful because the breakfast offer is until 11am. A little bit pricey but as a local defensively recommend them.

Nice place, pretty green, with gluten free options such as bread, sweets and pasta

I had a rather unfortunate experience here, a week ago. I ordered the chicken pasta and have been sick since. I’ve never had food poisoning before and wanted to be careful before leaving this review but it has been confirmed. The meal was weird.. hot in some places and cold in others. Didn’t think much of it at the time!! The juice selection was brilliant though. My mate enjoyed his meal too.

Their salad was tasty but I felt it was overpriced, I did not like the set portions instead of my needs and I did not think that it would be anything special. It is okay as a lunch option if you work around.

Really lovely hot and cold options. Make your own salad, or try their grilled food. Healthy, not too expensive and there's also a take out option. My go to for lunch in Budapest :-)

Fruccola is always a good choice, this one isn't an exception. Great variety of food, daily menu freshly made and fresh drinks - lovely. Eco-friendly packaging and green operation is highly appreciated and should be supported. Diet options are also good to have.

If you speak English, don’t go there. I asked for soup and sandwich and asked if could get a new sandwich without sauce (how hard should that be?), the girl said I could. Then she stood there for a minute and decided that I couldn’t get it. I was very confused, there were people behind me so I had to decide on sth new real quick. The way salads work wasn’t on the wall or anywhere so I was asking if I could get a salad, she didn’t tell me how it worked, how many toppings I could get, etc. the result: I got a bunch of lettuce w cucumbers and 4 cherry tomatoes and some salmon on top of all that for 2200ft. Sure salmon is not cheap but could I get more toppings? No clue. Just awful service, a lot to work on.
