We had a wonderful stay at Fruit and Spice Wellness Resort in Zanzibar. The location is beautiful, with a stunning beach and a very relaxing atmosphere. The food was good and varied, and everything was well organized. A special thank you to Salome – she is a very kind and lovely person who truly made our vacation even more enjoyable with her warmth and professionalism. Our bungalow was beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery, offering privacy and a peaceful, tropical feeling. Overall, it was a great experience and we would happily recommend this resort to anyone looking for relaxation and natural beauty in Zanzibar.

AJ, the General Manager, runs the resort with visible pride and precision. His leadership shows in every detail, from the smooth operations to the warm, genuine hospitality throughout the property. You feel welcomed, not managed. Chef Mohammed deserves special mention. The food is simply superb — consistently fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavour. Every meal felt considered and memorable, easily matching (and exceeding) what you’d expect from far more expensive resorts. The setting is tranquil, the rooms are immaculate, and the overall atmosphere is one of calm, comfort, and understated excellence. Fruit & Spice Zanzibar is an absolutely magical place that won us over from the very first moment! Everything is simply outstanding: the atmosphere, the food, the relaxed vibe, and most of all, the people. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, and Salome was truly wonderful – extremely sweet, always smiling, and ready to help with anything, making our experience truly special. One of the greatest highlights of this place is their beach: peaceful, uncrowded, and perfect for complete relaxation, with some of the most beautiful sunsets we have ever seen – a breathtaking show of colors. Fruit & Spice Zanzibar is not just a destination, but a complete experience filled with warmth, beauty, and genuine hospitality. I wholeheartedly recommend it and can’t wait to come back!

Unforgettable place to disconnect and relax! It was one of our best trips ever! If you want to disconnect from all the problems and fully recharge your batteries and still receive services on top level, this is the place to be! The hotel is very well preserved, clean with big territory for some walks, especially worth mentioning almost lack of insects in the room - really comfortable stay. The diversity and quality of food can meet absolutely anyone's preferences. But most importantly, the local people are so heart-warming and friendly, the staff is so attentive and helpful. Many thanks to all of them, especially Salome and the Reception team who were always there to support us with any administrative questions, to the whole gastronomic team (Peter, Mohammed, Amur and Mama Chef Fatima, in particular) who additionally organised a memorable cooking class of local exquisite delicacies - an incredible experience. Omar, and the whole local tours crew, was just irreplaceable, especially Emanuel who was so flexible driving us around and the Boat Captain who was the best around others to show us the dolphins under the sea. On top of all, the hotel is additionally guarded by the authentic Maasai tribe, who represent the native culture and big tourist interest. We were also so happy to have chosen this destination and hotel for the New Year celebration, the entertainment was amazing and unforgettable! We sincerely recommend this hotel - you will for sure enjoy your stay there.

We traveled to The Motherland to celebrate our nieces birthdays. We arrived on Dec 29, 2025 to the most spectacular resort in Zanzibar, The Fruit and Spice Wellness Resort. We were assigned Ramso as our vacation Butler and he was phenomenal. He was there for us 24 hrs a day ensuring that we had the best vacation ever! Serving us from breakfast to dinner; ensuring our excursions went on without a hitch; checking to see if our room met with our approval--every night during our stay. He even set up the special birthday celebration for our nieces and it was memorable. The kitchen staff was also top tier dishing out the most tasteful, eye pleasing foods...thank you Chef Mohammed If you are visiting Zanzibar you must make your reservations at the Fruit and Spice Wellness Resort and ask for Ramso. You will not be disappointed!!

It was sooo nice. The menager is the most kind and generous man. All the staff at the hotel are sweet and helpful. The food is the best we've had in Zanzibar. We are vegetarians and it was a huge relief. The buffet is plentiful. The hotel grounds are interesting. Access to the beach and a platform on the rocks overlooking the sea. Theme nights. Arabic-style dinners. Attractions for children. I highly recommend it.

We stayed in one of the superior suites for two nights, and the whole place has this rustic, African style that puts you in the right frame of mind as soon as you arrive. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and felt authentic without sacrificing any of the amenities you’d expect from a 5-star resort.||We had breakfast and dinner during our stay, and even though the meals are buffet style, the food was genuinely excellent. The frozen strawberry daiquiris became a bit of a favourite. The grounds are another highlight. The gardens are kept beautifully, and there are all sorts of little quirky touches and corners to find as you wander around. There’s plenty of wildlife too, and the resident monkey made a few friendly appearances.||The sun loungers are properly comfortable, and the sunset beach is a great place to wind down. Venson looked after us throughout the stay and did a brilliant job. We also caught the Wednesday evening entertainment in the bar, which was much better than your usual resort-style offering. The wine was very pleasant as well.||Overall, it’s an incredibly relaxing place and we’d happily return.
