A bit expensive, food was average.. very good service tho. Liked the view on the main street.

Went there as a tourist. Due to earlier experience I was unsure if I was supposed to wait to be seated or just sit down at the Tea Room. Since no one approached me I thought maybe just sit down... I see a waitress coming and I ask her "should I just sit down?" and she literally just replies "nein" and walks on. So I stand there for a while to give her time to tell me how I should go on about ordering. More than once she walks by me and I get eye contact with her and she just completely ignores me as if I'm garbage and let's me just stand there humiliated for ten minutes while she acts all nice to the ones already sitting. In the end I just left and went into the bakery section and got a few pastries and luckily found an Italian place nearby that got me some coffee. In hindsight maybe she just didn't understand my question and meant she doesn't speak English which obviously is fine, but that doesn't explain the disrespectful treatment. It's incredible that you're in the service business and THIS is how you act with guests. I'm sure whoever reading this is wondering I must have been done something to deserve it but no seriously, I came in calmly, waited a few minutes to figure out how it works and then asked a question.

We got there before 5pm (it closes at 6) and sat down outside. We chose what we wanted and waited and waited. Eventually I went up to the counter and the waitress said she will take our order. When she came it was 5.10pm and she said they stop serving sweets at 5pm. Yet we were seated before 5pm. This is abysmal service. Never coming back again. Rubbish!

The staff were super rude for no reason. They kept looking at us weird, and refused to make even eyecontact, when serving us. Never going back again, as it just ruined our morning. The food was average too and a little expensive

This is THE place to get a meringue or two, a torte, a signature pastry like Tatzelwurm(li) (eat this Dragon, before it eats you). Absolute coziness and warmth of this place is what you need after a day in the mountains, whether you were skiing, snowboarding or sledging in the winter, of sightseeing and looking for Sherlock's trace during any other season. Absolutely recommend every sweet pastry here with a drink of your choice.

Really nice place to go for an excellent meringue. Been here a couple of times now and would definitely recommend. They do other cakes too.

A must visit place in Meiringen main square,just a 5 minute walk from the station. Sweetness overload!

Excellent coffee and a view of the Reichenbach falls from the terrace.
