Google
This place is awesome. We had the sweet and sour chicken, veggie chow mein, fried rice, soup dumplings, and california rolls and everything was excellent!! Staff was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

Have always loved this place. Great food and customer service. They recently renovated and it looks amazing

Google
Stumbled into this place and supposed to go to the one next door that serves filipino cuisine. My wife wanted to try this place out and it wasn't a bad decision. The pictures I posted are all from a lunch special menu. I can say that the food are yummy! Thr salty pepper fish is crispy and delicious. Kung pao beef is very good with the beef so tender. They cooked the food fast enough that we got both within 5 minutes timeframe. I believe their serving can actually serve 2 people with moderate appetite like me and my wife. Service is ok. There is only one server and there are only 3 tables that are filled and being served. I will recommend this place. I really do not know how other peoplecan have issues with this place regarding food. Maybe the chef called out and a chef from next door took over. LOL

Google
Had a Wonderful time ☺ and I loved ❤ the Crispy Dover Sole, and the Dumplings were Great 👍

Sam S.

Google
Good food fast, don't mind the "hole-in-the-wall ambience". Always friendly.

Google
Ok, let's just say Gourmet 88 was my favorite Chinese food restaurant. Unfortunately it's closed. I tried this place for a simple dinner, orange chicken, and white rice. The chicken was tough and stringy. The sauce is what you get with sweet and sour pork. The rice was dry. The cashier was pleasant. The location didn't have good vibes.

Google
This was my first time at this restaurant and my last. Bad, experience with the owner food was no good and service. I hand her my credit card and she didn’t hand it back to me,,She threw it at me because I told her that if she could remove the soup that I only had a spoon to tasted, she was told from the beginning and she still charge me for it even though she took it anyways, “POOR SERVICE” be careful people they do over charge they charge me twice for the Soup after she was told to remove it

Google
I went to this place today with my friend, we ordered a little order which I calculated the price that it shows on the menu, it should be only 44.57 but they made us paid over 60 bucks!!!!. If you would like to have your food and on you budget and *good restaurant * I highly would not recommend this place

Yelp
The food is good. But not good enough to deal with the horrible service and experience we had tonight. I understand being busy. If you're too busy to handle the orders you have coming in, stop taking orders. Yelling at customers over the phone, and yelling at customers and employees in the restaurant (putting the phone down isn't the same as putting a call on hold) isn't the way to handle it. Our order was 30 minutes late and cold. After waiting 15 minutes past the order expected time, we called to find out what was going on and were rudely advised they were busy and "your driver is on the way". We called again 20 minutes later. The restaurant is 10 minutes from our house, so it should have arrived since it was "on the way". 40 minutes after our order was due, it arrived. Cold and incomplete. I'm not sure who answered the phone, but being told our order wasn't cold and it was correct because she packed it herself was NOT the way to handle issues with the order. Yelling at others (sounded like a customer and at least 1 coworker) while I was waiting for her to get back to me was also not charming. After she decided there really was an issue with my order, she said someone would be right to our house with the missing items. Great. 30 minutes late and we still have to wait to eat our complete meal. I also didn't enjoy being told "there are other customers" and being hung up on when I called to find out where our missing items (that were being sent right away) were after 30 minutes when the restaurant is 10 minutes from our house. And having to deliver missed items shouldn't be enough to make the delivery driver, whom we never spoke to, cry when they dropped off our missing items. I'm guessing the way customers are treated at this location is about the same as employees are treated. We'll be finding another restaurant.

Yelp
I have been ordering from this place for years, but for the first time last night, I dined in and it was a great experience. If I'm not mistaken, this is a family owned business. With that being said, usually with places like this I expect their service to be on the slower side but not here.. every single time I've ordered it's been ready for pick-up by the time I get to the restaurant. Like I said, last time I came here I decided to dine in and it was the same lovely service. I got all of my food within a reasonable amount of time. The portions here are great for the price and they offer such a huge variety of dishes as well. The inside is a bit dated but definitely clean and enjoyable to eat at. They're usually not busy, as I believe most of their business is done through to-go orders so there's plenty of seating. Everyone here is so sweet and nice and I just think it's worth a visit if you're ever in the area and are craving Chinese food. Oh and also, my favorite things to get from here are in the pictures attached. Feel free to try them out.

Yelp
We ordered delivery and saying it was terrible is paying this place a compliment. The order was over an hour late. When we called the restaurant, the lady who answered had no recollection of the order and no way to track it. Calling was a waste of time. She said be patient he is on his way - 45 minutes late at this point. When he did arrive, he appeared to not speak nor understand English. Had I not placed the order I would not recognize what was delivered. The Egg Flower Soup was so thick it was hard to eat and did not taste fresh. The Cheese Wonton were burnt. The chicken for the Lemon Chicken looked as though it was a breaded patty straight from the frozen food section. I ended up adding mustard ketchup and pickles and making a very nice sandwich out of it. There was nothing good about this restaurant and I do not recommend it.

Yelp
Fu House used to be more consistent, but the past few months the orders have been completely wrong, and when it is the correct order, the food has been subpar.Tonight, we ordered three orders of dumplings and instead of serving them on parchment paper, they used paper doilies! Literally every dumpling had paper stuck to it, and it was stuck stuck, like impossible to remove. I ate one before I realized and still can't get the paper out of my teeth. They should know better than to use regular paper. I have been a Fu House customer for years, but something has changed, and not for the better.

Lizzy G.

Yelp
I'm not sure what changed here. Owners?Management? Chefs? But it's definitely changed. I ordered what I've been ordering for 10 years. Fried rice and chow mein, along with the house special roll combo that includes an Alaskan roll, spicy tuna, California roll, miso soup and a salad. First the Chinese food! The portions are huge and packed just as always but I noticed the rice was darker, noodles were thinner, and the overall taste is just completely different. Is it Chinese still? It's delicious though. Would def recommend. Now to the Japanese part. The portions are much smaller. The California roll is the same. It's those small market size rolls but the other rolls used to be like a roll you would get a restaurant. They were both smaller and market sized. It also didn't taste as fresh. It had been sitting there for a while for sure. The miso soup is great. Large portion as always. The salad however used to come in its own container and it was soo good but this time we got like a small handful of cut up lettuce and some croutons in half a sushi container and there wasn't any dressing either! It was a sad salad. I ordered off uber eats so I got a great discount and it was worth what I paid. I would probably order the Chinese food again but definitely not the sushi

Marine A.

Yelp
Delicious, simple and complex food. Orange chicken is like nothing you've had before. Mongolian beef and the Sezcjuan eggplant also wonderful on the palate. Would order again! Can't speak to service as we order for pickup but order was right and nothing missing.

Phil L.

Yelp
The place is perfect to have hot good soup, try it! Recommended this place!l I tried the hot and sour soup and wonton soup

Ivan A.

Yelp
Authentic Chinese cuisine, hits the spot! I was a big fan of the orange chicken dish and beef noodles. They did a recent remodel too which is nice and homie. Great local low key dining option!
google avatar

Yelp
Always a solid eatery! The Fu House Chow Mein (crispy noodles) has been and always is off the hook yummy! I've been going to the Fu House since before the Covid and the quality of food, service and ambiance is excellent! This is my go to Chinese restaurant! Very extensive menu and before I forget, the soups are the BEST!!!

Yelp
Had a strong craving for Roast Pork Egg Foo Young this afternoon. Have never found good egg foo young in Los Angeles; however, am committed not to give up hope. Went on Uber Eats whom connected me with Fu House in Glendale. BBQ Pork Egg Foo Young $15.95 Essentially what I got was an omelet plus a container with brown sauce/veggies. I put it together and got a 3 star rendition of a dish I typically love. The brown sauce needed more flavor, needed to be thicker and have seasoning. The pork was a tad chewy, wish it were more tender. The pork also lacked flavor. By Los Angeles Chinese food standards, it was okay. However, by New York standards it was a disaster. We did eat it, accepted the fact this is what you get. Reality is you want exceptional egg foo young just go to New York. War Wonton Soup $5.95 (small) This was a 3 star container of War Wonton Soup. What concerned me was the fact they did not clean the shrimp. They removed the shell but did not clean out the cavity. Ugh. the broth had some flavor, was not a total disaster. At least the prices were good, delivery was quick. However, I won't be ordering from them again.

Yelp
Looking for a quick delivery meal and found it. The food was fine and packed very well. The portions were good too! I went for the ORANGE PEEL CHICKEN. It said it was spicy and I was intrigued. There were chilies I'm it but I couldn't taste any spice at all. The food was nice and hot but not as much flavor as I'd like. The fried rice was a little dry. The EGG ROLLS were an extra perk with delivery. They were filled well and came super crispy. A good solid egg roll!

Yelp
I was in the mood for some Chinese this week, so I decided to swing by Fu House to satisfy my cravings. It's the best Chinese food in the area! I am always pleased with their efficient service and delicious food. The orange peel chicken always hits the spot! So good! They never miss.
google avatar

Yelp
My friend and I were in the mood for a good tasteful sushi. Let me start by saying this place is disgusting, the restaurant literally gave my friend old sushi as if it sat there for days. The place was literally empty and now we know why. Terrible food but at least the waitress tried. Never again do not recommend if I could give this place zero stars I would
google avatar

Maria Lori A.

Yelp
Our first time eating here years ago was okay. But tonight was a horrible experience. We ordered for delivery & we got some old refried burnt lemon chicken. Very disappointed & never ordering here again.

Yelp
I have only gotten the Spicy Shrimp Chow mein and the man is very nice and lets be do a half order of the egg rolls ...they aren't cheap..but yummy, nice packaging and lovely family.

Yelp
I've came here for so long and to be quite frank they do not fail to make your day , the food is always delicious and I would not recommend any other Chinese food restaurant in Glendale. The service was very good the host is always talking and greeting me very well . Nice small restaurant with little to no wait time , Overall 5/5 will continue to come here for years to come.

Yelp
Solid Chinese food! You just have to know what to order. Salt and pepper pork chop, combination pan fried noodles, Mongolian beef, and walnut shrimp were all good. If your lazy to drive to Chinatown lol and you want good take out. Look no further.
google avatar

Jasmin K.

Yelp
I ordered several entrees and sushi. I would not reorder, the quality of the food was not good, the flavors and freshness were not good. The sushi was also very disappointing and not appetizing at all.

Yelp
After years of decent experiences with Fu House in our neighborhood, we suffered a terrible delivery meal experience and attitude after the fact. Our delivery order was almost $100 in the difficult times. For some unknown reason all the dishes (4 to be exact) we ordered had a weird metallic after taste and were inedible. I returned the food the next day, worried both that others may have the same problem and that a "trusted " local restaurant business may be unknowingly at risk for harm. The woman was un interested and defensive! Rather than sharing my concern. She said refunds were not their problem and I needed to deal with grub hub. Okay that's fine but no curiosity at all about the problem with the food. I could have dumped the food and never mentioned it but I was worried about possible harm and made the time to go and communicate directly. She didn't want me to stay inside the restaurant while I was calling Grubhub!! The call to grubhub was problematic as well as they kept dropping the call after transferring me to a customer service representative. Then took 8 minutes to just locate my order and process the almost $100 refund. The guy was very nice but the system was very cumbersome. I spent almost 45 minutes just dealing with grub hub in the phone. I stayed outside the restaurant at their front door so any patrons could hear my conversation about their bad attitude and potentially dangerous food. Fu House, you're fired!!

Yelp
I called and placed an order for delivery here and successfully ordered but my order never came.... Lol

Yelp
Walking in the service was not good. She seemed very uninterested in us. Handed us menus and pointed we could sit anywhere but didn't walk us. Taking our order she looked uninterested and bored. We ordered the orange chicken dinner with shrimp in lobster sauce dinner. We got har gow and it was so gross I took one bite and left the rest. We also ordered a spider roll. The flavor was off and it tasted bad. The rice wasn't right and the flavor... it must have been old crab. The meals came with soups so we both got hot and sour. There was no sour. It tasted bland. No flavor. My boyfriend tried adding salt and chili to make it have flavor.. The meals came with an appetizer and the fried shrimp was good. But the egg rolls definitely had something in there that has gone bad. It smelled bad and it tasted like something was rotten in there. I literally had to spit it out. The orange chicken wasn't impressive but at least it was edible. The shrimp in lobster sauce was just ok. The water crests and green beans tasted like it was out of a can. We literally left hungry. We took the leftovers bc I don't like wasting food but I honestly don't know why bc we're not eating it. My boyfriend used the restroom and said it was filthy and recommended I waited to get home to use the restroom. He said he peaked at the kitchen and it also looked dirty.. I 100000% do not recommend this place. I thought we were getting better Chinese food than fast food Chinese, but Panda Express would have been soo much cheaper and edible. We flushed $85 on nothing. What a waste..

Yelp
I order from this place FREQUENTLY. My go to is beef and broccoli, hot and sour soup, and sesame balls . My fiancé likes the orange chicken - for me it's too sweet. They are also very FAST. Every time I order it's ready to be picked up in 15 minutes. I would say this is my second favorite Asian place in Glendale. :)

Godfrey I.

Yelp
I am a regular customer here. The customer service is amazing and so are the owners. The food is also amazing with great taste as well. The pricing is good too, Amazing food serving size as well. Family owned restaurant. Again the owner are nice and friendly people.

Yelp
Its been about a couple of years since I've ordered from here. But I had the biggest craving for pan fried noodles. This place does it right they are crispy even when you pour on the sauce & veggies the longer you let them sit the better they get. This was a delivery and and everything was delivered hot & fresh. The portions are generous & last for leftovers. This place also has sushi I haven't had it in a while but can't wait to order it & see if it's even better.

Yelp
First time that I ordered from here (delivery). They were really quick which I was really happy about, so even though the estimated time was 45-55 minutes, it was less which is great. I got a lot of their seafood options (fish, squid, and shrimp dishes). My favorite was probably the steamed fish fillet. Pros: -offer delivery -quick! -lots of seafood options -they also provided utensils, napkins, soy sauce packets and fortune cookies! Cons: -I found a staple in one of my dishes.

Yelp
Chinese food are usually too oily or too salty... however their food was delish. From eggplants, orange chicken, udon noodles were so good. Portion were a little small for the price you pay. We ordered delivery and food came so quick. The only thing that I didnt like is that my crispy porkchop fell over and was all over inside the brown bag. Next time they nees to close the lid properly or not drive so crazy. Everything that we ordered were perfectly seasoned and cooked well. Really good chinese food that hit the spot.
google avatar

Cesar F.

Yelp
Food was bland, but more than anything it gave me food poisoning. Just getting over it now. What a terrible experience. Never ordering from this hole again.
google avatar

Maurice D.

Yelp
The food is fantastic. The service is impeccable and the food comes out in less than 10 minutes. Must try this place. Hands down the best Chinese food in Glendale
google avatar

Dawla A.

Yelp
Vegan review*** Really nice staff. It's a simple restaurant. There's parking in front of the restaurant. They make both Chinese food and Sushi. I ordered the vegetable fried rice with no eggs and the vegetable roll. The vegetable fried rice was delicious and flavorful but the veggie roll was meh. I would just come back for the Chinese food.

Yelp
Mediocre place. I ordered dinner package $17.95 which included lots of items . Unfortunately some didn't meet my expectations . 1. Hot and sour soup (5 from 5) I loved this item the most 2. Egg roll (4 from 5) it was fresh and crispy just didn't contain much ingredients 3. Chicken wrapped in foil : (4 from 5)my first time having this . Not sure if it's a standard Chinese thing but never saw it anywhere else . Nevertheless was fine 4. One piece of breaded and fried shrimp (3 from 5) can probably say it was previously fried and re-fried before serving 5. Shrimp in lobster sauce: Main course which was mostly disappointing (2 from 5) I love shrimp but sorry this item was whatever . I mainly went here because I was craving shrimps but man they turned me off so bad . I still ate them but I didn't enjoy it 6. Fried rice (1 from 5) dry and bland Service : 3 from 5 : she didn't ask how everything was and she seemed careless about it as well. I also noticed there were little insects flying around . Smaller than mosquitoes but you never know if they have sat on the food in the kitchen ... overall I don't think I'll go back here unless I want to get hot and sour soup to go
google avatar

Steven J.

Yelp
Note: this was a to-go order The food was available very fast (within 20 min of ordering), and was super delicious! This was my first time going but I was pleasantly surprised and would go again. The portion sizes were really big, and the dishes were very rich and flavorful. My only "con" was the price felt a little high and was more than I thought I would spend, but the portion sizes are so big it's easy to turn the dish into multiple meals.
google avatar

Steve C.

Yelp
We needed a good Chinese restaurant in west Glendale. Now we have it. The green beans are the bomb.
google avatar

May G.

Yelp
Food was very flavorful, and adequate serving sizes. We did a take out. The restaurant itself was a hole in the wall type. Prices were reasonable and so worth it.
google avatar

Sophia S.

Yelp
Great reliable spot go to Chinese! Order here almost once a week. It's always fresh and delicious shrimp Lo mein and Mongolian beef.

Justin L.

Yelp
Food is good but the "calamari" is sold them as what appears to be "artificial calamari" which the meat industry has sold for years as a cheaper alternative, made from a sliced HOG ( tubelike) rectum. fine to eat though, usually sold as "chitterlings". So if you don't mind it knock yourself out, you can tell real calamari by a variation in ring sizes and the presence of tentacles, these boys are all the same size and have small thank goodness i noticed and I didn't eat it. And to be honest it's not legal for you to not disclose that they sell a pork product as seafood.
google avatar

James B.

Yelp
Every time Yelp asks me to write a review for this restaurant I always write a review for this restaurant I don't know how many they want but I will keep doing it I think it's the best Chinese food around proportions are generous the food is high-quality and the service is excellent absolutely best tasting American Chinese food in Southern California I highly recommend them
google avatar

Ken G.

Yelp
Got off work thought id stop by and try fu house. Being in eagle rock trying all the Chinese fast food places i can say by far this was the best ive tried so far. Also called for a take out, by the time i got there about 15 min or less it was done. Definitely go back here again.
google avatar

Dolores R.

Yelp
EVERYTHING we ordered was delicious! We had chicken chow mein, I think it was the general's chicken (it was a sweet and spicy dish), Mongolian beef, dumplings, pork fried rice, and I can't remember what else, but everything was extremely flavorful. I wish we had something like this near where we live, but every Chinese place cooks very different from each other. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. My family and I REALLY loved this place. It's a gem. I wish I had taken pictures of the food, but we were so hungry.
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
Ordered a few times from here. It's always been good. Even though the grub hub app will say an hour, food has always shown up in about 30 minutes. Orange chicken. Mongolian beef. Walnut shrimp. Chicken pan fried noodles all have been good no issues. allot better than panda. I like they have their own delivery people and don't use grub hub, door dash, etc drivers. Will keep coming back.
google avatar

Becky B.

Yelp
It was barely okay. Delivery via GrubHub was super quick (it arrived about 20 minutes before estimated time), and the food was still hot. The driver was super nice. The "egg rolls" were a little too basic for me. They were more of the overall spring roll deep fried goodness, but inside, it was a very basic cabbage and celery mix. Egg rolls are different from spring rolls. They were okay only because they were free with my order, but I wouldn't spend the money on them. The Spider Roll was kind of "meh" as well. If an eatery is going to offer the Spider Roll, please make sure that the crab is soft and supple (young) under the fried goodness. The soft shell crab that I ate was splinters and tough. I was pulling out pieces of shell that I couldn't bite through. There was a strong waft of fishy smell, despite there not being any fresh fish in it. The Orange Peel Chicken was not worth it at all. There was so much sugar in the sauce that the insides of my lips are starting to pucker and dry out. It's almost like there was too much sodium in it, but honestly, it was pure sweetener. I also saw the standard dried chiles mixed in the sauce, but there was absolutely no heat/spice to it. I think I found a bit of chicken bone/cartilage in the chicken pieces, as there were a few mouthfuls that came to a "grinding" (literally) halt. It was worse than chain-store orange chicken. I only ate what I needed to for sustenance and then tossed the rest. It wasn't worth keeping leftovers. Very disappointed.

Yelp
I've slept on FU House for 8 years!!! Looking up Chinese food in Grubhub we came upon this spot, then realized I've passed this place a zillion times shopping at Ralph's next door for-freaking-ever. Chinese food competition near by has been not been top shelf game. RESET THE CLOCK, REF! BECAUSE WE'VE FOUND A NEW CHAMP! Ordered: orange chicken, walnut shrimp, house chow mein, pot stickers & string beans. All top notch next level deliciousness! I don't have to drive all the way to Chinatown for legit goods anymore! Hello FU! We dig YOU!

Carla S.

Yelp
Roasted duck was delicious and our only complaint is that we didn't order more food. Chow mein and friend rice were good as well.
google avatar

Bianca P.

Yelp
I've ordered from here 3 times during the pandemic and EVERY time I get fresh, hot, and delicious food. My husband and I recently just had the Japanese Udon Chow Fun & Orange Peel Chicken with vegetable rolls. This was enough to feed both of us to the point where we couldn't have more. I have never been disappointed by their service, I am so happy I found this place!
google avatar

Vincent K.

Yelp
I'm not a yelper these days. In fact, I tend to side with Anthony Bordain over its value and find it typically to be the sport of intrepid keyboard warriors who have nothing better to do than to jeopardize people's livelihood and hard work. I really should also mention that I wish the best for all small restaurants such as this in these hard times, and hope they thrive if they're doing right by their clientele. That said, I can't not express my feelings on the garbage I just received. I've given Fu House a few go's in the past, and it's been gross, but never like this. There was zero hard work put into the making of this boxed waste. I ordered the shredded pork and chicken wings. Both were nearly inedible. The wings were dry and flavorless with a hint of five spice back there somewhere buried beneath the stale, flat odor. The pork by description was drawing a comparison to twice-cooked pork and was noted as "spicy" on the menu. I'm a culinarian, so I had no expectation of Sichuan food, and my taste buds were set for good Americanized grub. It was sweet and laden with overcooked green peppers and irregularly cut pieces of pork ranging from tender to chewy. It smelled liked diaper--no joke. The stink of the dish reminded me of nothing Chinese or American Chinese..."fetid" comes to mind. Foot-like. Absolutely gnarly. This was a waste of hard-earned money.

David D.

Yelp
Just ordered first time the walnut shrimp is great! Pork fried rice and Kung Pao Chicken also...Thank you!

Yelp
Never going there again. The lady was super rude and not helpful. I have been a loyal customer to her for 6 years. Unfortunately after 2020 her attitude towards me changed, and every time I order the food it doesn't taste the same as before. Everytime I order from her she says in her tone of voice "that's it?" And that is very rude. Especially if you're running a business you shouldn't say that to the people that are paying for your business. Unfortunately this is the last time I'm every ordering anything from her and her business. When I called to tell her the soup I ordered has white stuff in there, she remained silent and didn't say anything and when I said hello? She ignored me and I could hear the manager complaining about it in her language in the background to the others and without responding to me she made someone else come and finish the conversation. Very unprofessional.

Yelp
Consistently delicious. Extremely affordable. Friendly staff. Completely crave worthy and always consistent.
