Fancy a hot cocktail on a cold night? Try the signature hot cocktails at Fu Lu Shou, served in traditional Chinese ceramic cups. That's if, you can find Fu Lu Shou. Find the conspicuous apartment building entrance on Hollywood Road and take the (shady) lift up to the 7th floor. Voila.
I ordered the Tai Leng Lok (spiced Caribbean rum, brown suger, ginger, lemon and cloves) and the Rose Blossom (Mei Kuei Lu Chinese wine, chrysanthemum, passionfruit, jasmine tea, cranberry and fresh berries). Their hot cocktails take about 15-20 minutes to prepare, so your best bet is to also order their small snacks. We ordered their fried tofu, and my god, they were really yummy!! Hot in the mouth, but a party in the mouth! (Probably not the best choice as fried foods are considered "yeet hay" or heaty) It really impressed me and well worth the $50+ on it. I've been to other bars where their bar snacks are subpar, but Fu Lu Shou is top notch. Anyways, after battling a sore throat and cold, I swear these cocktails cured me. Or maybe it was the long overdue 8 hours of sleep I managed that night.
I will be back again when the weather cools down. Also, no door code needed anymore. But highly recommend making reservations for prime times.
