we got the naked burger and for anyone looking for a healthy dinner thats the way to go. We had two different types and they were both good. The place could be a little cheaper but it is worth the try if you don’t want to eat strictly Italian food whilst you’re in Catania.

What a disappointment. Good marketing, but nothing else. Fortunately they're in the city center, otherwise they'd probably soon close their doors. The waiters are absolutely not trained, they don't pay attention, they're nice until you're seated - then you're waiting for ages that they come to pick up your order and they're almost acting as if they're highly annoyed if you do and it wasn't even crowded. 2 stars for the presentation of the burgers, taste is disappointing, dry bread, little flavor, the fries barely fried. The price-quality ratio is absolutely not worth it. We ate better in catania with more welcoming service, cute presentation and less pricey. Can't recommend it at all ...

I got their Helles beer, which tasted like a decent homebrew, ie, had those slight off flavors you get from too warm fermentation. Also had their potato croquetas, which were good, and their fried cheese, which was mostly breading and lukewarm. Service was ok, on the less attentive side though.

Amazing! Loved everything....they have laneway dining, inside dining or courtyard dining. Beautiful settings, great food and drink options, attentive staff, reasonable prices.

Such a lovely place—absolutely stunning and inviting, with a “pretty pretty” vibe that sets the perfect mood. The menu is different and creative, offering unique dishes that surprise and delight. The food is nothing short of delicious, with flavors that linger in the best way. The cocktails are amazing, crafted to perfection and worth savoring. Expect a bit of a wait, but it’s well worth it. This spot came highly recommended by a local, and it truly lives up to the hype! Don’t miss out.

Great burger joint on this fun foodie street. All our burgers were delicious i went for the Bec, the kids measured their's with some app at 20cm tall. Mrs W's spicy chicken wrap was one of her 'favourite meals in Sicily!' A nice break from the pasta and parmigiano, if for just one day. Staff were very nice.

Popped in for a very late lunch and staff were very friendly, recommended to us a selection of nice chilled fruity drinks. Both got burgers - easily best burger I’ve had and the bread was lovely too! Nice to have a burger that felt fresh and healthy - not greasy at all. One vegetarian in group who had a huge selection and loved her aubergine based burger. Great flavours can’t recommend enough.

Everything was very good. The location is very pretty, the food was very good and the people kind and helpful

This place was alright I have to say.. my coworker was craving some American food since we've been in Europe since oct 20th and he found this spot so we gave it a try. My thing is... idk why in Europe it's so common to have bbq sauce on burgers and chicken wings in Europe I guess it's like a staple here lol I really don't care for bbq sauce that much so I already was expecting the food to be alright. The beer on tap was good tho I will say and the place was packed! I ordered a burger with some fries and onion rings I'll say that the burger was good but it started to break apart because of the amount of grilled onion and the type of bread they used. I'll give the burger a 4/5 for flavor and just all around experience at this spot. Would I go here again? Yeah I would why not I'll try something different next time !

I am not in a white wine drinker, but this wine from this restaurant, which was the table and it was so delicious, fruity, and crisp. I wish I had the option to take it with me to the US. It's a local one. They had a lot of vegan options at this restaurant. The pulled pirk plant burger was good. Everybody was very happy with the food selection. I did not eat because I had a big lunch. I regretted it not being able to try.

DEFINITELY GIVE IT A TRY. Italian-American gastro pub vibe in a super fun and lively environment that does not get in the way of the dining experience. Food is excellent with a wide variety of choices and price ranges--reasonable prices and prompt service. Recommend sitting outside if you can. Overall, a great and fun experience.

Am I back in America? The burgers here are huge! Maybe it was from all the walking and coffee I had before coming here, but my appetite wasn't the best so I could not defeat the monster sandwich they placed in front of me. Honestly, it was not the best burger I ever had and the beef patty could've tasted better. Perhaps if my stomach were in a different mood, I would have enjoyed every bite a lot more! I usually consume a whole burger if it exists in front of me, but I had to take half of mine home. I went with the "Eg Burger" which was pretty much a bacon cheeseburger with an egg. It was indeed good. I'd like to try a non-burger product here next time. If anything, the best place about this joint is the nice ambience and service. It's located down a cute alleyway (where 0 motorbikes should be going through but they were) and in the evening it's even more charming. Whenever you come, be sure to bring your appetite!

FUD is a dud. Not recommended. We wasted our money here. The onion rings were hot and crispy. Liked the curry mayonnaise. We started with a Margo Brut (Nerello Macaelse grape) which was tasty. €24 a very good price. Onion rings. Delicious. AM Burger and a BEC Burger. Not good. - meat was tightly compressed. Required effort to bite into. - overcooked - tasteless meat - an over abundance of bun and lettuce does not a good burger make (We have had excellent burger experiences at A Cultura in Lisboa and Pop's Place in Ljubljana proving that Europeans can "do burgers".) + Large beer and wine list. - Service. We were literally the only customers and were ignored. Then our waiter brought us a FUD cola which we had not ordered. He took it away, but it still appeared on il conto. - paper napkins - paper placemats - Inox flatware - Too bright lighting - Annoying music. Too loud. €53.70 for dinner for 2

FUD Bottega Sicula is a modern, hip, trendy restaurant with a contemporary menu of burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, and more! One distinctive feature of this quirky restaurant was that all the menu items were spelled exactly like they sounded. For example, we ordered the "Ors Burgher," a monstrous sandwich featuring a horse meat patty (a delicacy of Catania!), onions, lettuce, pepper jack cheese, and local wild greens fried with garlic and olive oil, all on a homemade seeded ciabatta-like bread. This was one of the few times I've ever eaten horse, and the lean meat went perfectly with the earthy greens and the pepper jack cheese, which had been melted and crisped up along the edges. We also had the Shek Burgher, made of a donkey meat patty (my first time eating this!), along with tomato, mixed salad, smoked buffalo mozzarella, mushrooms, Giarratana onions, and BBQ sauce. The flavors of the Shek Burger were over the top--the buffalo mozzarella added a deep unctuousness, the BBQ sauce had a sweet and sour flavor, and the tomatoes, onions, and mushrooms exploded with umami! What an incredible feast, and we had barely even scratched the surface of this innovative, creative menu!

The burger options are great, the ambiance is nice and so is the location. The customer service is awesome, only thing is in a busy day you can find yourself waiting for a long while up to 30 min to order.

Visiting from the Land of Burgers (U.S), This place makes a solid burger and definitely satisfied my craving. I ordered the Bacon burger and would highly recommend it as well. What makes this burger place stand out is: - Tangy BBQ sauce - Signature pickled onions - a Quality piece of beef patty (200g) I never realized before the impact that pickled onions have on a burger, now I'm curious to see how I can make my own. The ambience seems more like a casual place you go for lunch and not necessarily a date spot. You should also expect a wait if you're coming during the lunch hour. Location wise, it's located down an pedestrian alley, so there are some places nearby that you can park your car for 3 euros an hour. Food wise: this places is a speciality for their burgers, but they also have different types of sandwiches and some healthy options as well.

Note: pizza and focaccia are Dinner ONLY What did we order? We were 3 people and ordered a hamburger, a buffalo steak plate and a salmon sandwich. What was good? The interior is pretty cosy. They have their own brands and makes with drinks and all kind of stuff which is pretty cool. The ingredients are fresh, I liked the bread. Is it expensive? Non alcohol drinks vary from 1.50 - 2.50€ and food from 8-13€ per dish. We end up paying 45€ for three. We each got a drink and a meal Why only 3 stars? I am generally a pretty tough rater and expected more after reading the reviews on google and TripAdvisor. The food was pretty average (nothing special). I'd give this place a 3.5 but would not consider to come back.

Wow, I'm amazed at the portion size at this place. Being from California, Fud has the vibe of a brewery/gastropub with burgers, pizzas, hotdogs, you name it! I got one of their patatine dishes with bacon and cheese with their aranciata. The bacon was a little too salty for me, but the fries were on point. The aranciata they serve is organic!! Super bubbly but very yummy. My friends that I was with got their focaccias. Beware, their pizzas here and focaccia portions are gigantic; you are better off sharing one for SURE. For about 10 euro, it is so worth it. As for the pizzas they range from 5-10 euro but it looked so promising. It seems like a very popular place among sicilians and tourists; expect a 20 min or so wait before being seated!!

More westernized restaurant recommended by our hotel. Famous for burgers/sandwiches with great beer. It hits the spot with a great decor and wonderful staff. Value 3/5 Atmosphere 4/5 service 4/5 quality 4/5 15/20

Fud is an MUST TRY place for burgers in italy. This is the closest place that I've found that gave a semi-authentic American feel with regards to food and beers. I wasn't too impressed with the beers as they seemed to have missed the mark on what an American beer is. It tasted as though the beer wasn't fermenting long enough so it tasted sem-flat. I definitely say give it a try and don't solely take my opinion for face value. The burgers were pretty good. I'm a huge fan of eggs on my burger and this place had the bomb EGG Burger. Man!!! The only downfall for me was the wait. I've been here twice and I was quoted 20 minutes both times and wasn't seated for at least 40 - 60 minutes. The place is pretty packed compared to all the other resturants on the block so you know they are doing something right. I can't forget to mention the cheese cake. IT IS FREAKING AMAZING!!. I strongly recommend paying FUD a visit and enjoying the environment.

Great portion sizes, fast service, and a unique burger meat selection! We heard great word of mouth reviews and made it here before the dinner crowd. It's down an obscure side street. Has indoor and outdoor seating with some shared seating at a long table inside. If it's busy you better take what they have because it's worth it.

Being from Texas I can appreciate a good Burger. FUD got it right on the money, the EG Burger sent my taste buds to heaven. I sampled a friend's fries and regretted not getting some myself, they are simply amazing! The value is great as you get a ton of food for what you pay, you can always request a to go if it is too much. Staff is friendly and helpful slowing our large group to swap tables from our cramped corner when seats opened up. If visiting from the states and you are looking for a good authentic Burger this is the place to go! I will definitely be returning here when I travel through again.

We are on a trip around Sicily and came to this hamburger restaurant. It is a bit searching but with a good map you can find everything! They were really friendly! We could sit outside. Beside hamburgers there is also a good choice out of salads, pizza and antipasti. I chose the chicburger. Really lovely and A LOT! We asked 2 portions of french fries, but we would have enough with 1! A very good restaurant to eat something else than pasta and pizza .

Very fun & interesting menu! Lots of unique options that made it difficult to decide on a meal. Loved the staff. This place is one of a kind & a MUST.

Burgers are dry, not hot sauce or anything spicy, one of the salads has pieces of sharp plastic the waiter eventually found out it was coming from the salt grinder, that they decided to tape before replace it, because it was crack everywhere.

This place is fun! I love the menu and the American fare they provide. Great house-brewed beers as well! My wife and I enjoyed our meal here during our stay in Catania. I had the Shek (donkey) burger and she had the Hors (horse) burger. The burgers were soooo big and filling we hardly were able to finish then without even having a side/appetizer! Overall, a great experience and a wonderful time was had at Fud. I highly recommend this place especially for Americans abroad!

apart from the friendly hostess this place is a complete nightmare. After the 30 minute wait to be seated we waited another 30 minutes to put in our order. Even though the server repeated the order to us correctly we received the wrong order another 45 minutes later. Flash forward another 20 minutes when we received our correct order just to find out they only made one burger and not 2 (due) like we ordered. Hoping the food would be the saving grace was also a mistake as the burger was over cooked (even for typical American standards) and disappointing as well. All in all we waited 2 + hours for a frustrating experience start to finish.

If your an American this is not the flavor of america...But that doesn't mean it isn't good, the Texas size portions will leave you asking for the already expected request for a doggie bag. the french fries were awesome. The basil beer should be laid to rest. ***STAFF ***FOOD **PRICE

Staff was super friendly and food was delicious! Portions were very large and a great spot for modern, hipster Italian food. Everything was spelled phonetically how Italians pronounce English words ex: Fud = Food. Humorously amazing atmosphere! Highly recommend

Fud is a great place that everyone who visits the city should try. Simply put, it's an American Menu with Sicilian Ingredients. The menu is spelled out the way an Italian would write English words. Try the Donkey Burger, very delicious meat. The portion sizes are large for Italian standards and the prices are pretty good. Even the artisanal beer is worth a try.

Very nice hamburgers, pizzas etc. Smart looking restaurant. Simple but with just the right things around. Not really Italian food, but nice for something different.

A great place to eat, but when you order a starter, order just the 1 (share) as very filling. At the weekend get there early as you will have to wait for a table.

Gigantic, delicious burgers made with all natural ingredients. Everything was top quality. And the sauces were incredible. This place is a must visit.

Nice wait staff, fun location for people watching. Tried the three draft beers on the menu - the Wit was most interesting due to the addition of basil. Had the egg burger, which was really tasty. The egg was cooked perfectly, and the yolk coated everything but didn't end up all over the cutting board. (yes, I said cutting board - no plate) The meat was cooked rare, which is fine by me, but if you don't like it so red, order appropriately. Recommend giving them a shot. (overheard another customer telling his date that he was happy to get in so quickly because there is usually a wait)
