Wonderful intimate dining experience. We dined early for Argentina (8P), I would recommend make a reservation. Patrons definitely increased between 830-900P. They will confirm dishes are tailored for two but 3-4 is easily possible. Great wine list at amazing prices, also house wine Thanks Marcos and team for a wonderful dinner and experience we will be back!

This is not your average Argentine restaurant. The dishes might or not contain meat. Some are served family style. How about home made pasta with vegetables in cream. We loved it! They serve a wide variety of deserts as well. We sure didn't expect to see bread pudding on the menu. On the plus side all the service staff was female. The dinner was a good value as well for Argentina these days.

Absolutely incredible Christmas Eve dinner here! We had an insane set menu that was so much food, we ended up taking a ton home! Would definitely come back here even for their regular menu, everything was absolutely delicious! Service and ambiance were fantastic as well, thank you for a memorable holiday!!

All mains are to share between 2 or 3 people (depending how much you love to eat) and come with a dessert. They also have vegetarian options.

We had a lovely meal yesterday. Make sure you are hungry because the portions are huge and comes with complementary dessert. Main course is always for two to share. The place is very atmospheric and the service was great. Even though we don’t speak any Spanish together we worked it out. Great place.

All main courses are for share and you get 2 desserts included, the water is unlimited so if you want you don’t need to order beverage.

The best restaurant in Mendoza! Generous portions reminiscent of a traditional Argentinian grandmother's cooking, served in a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Se arrived without a reservation and could be accommodated without any problems. First time in Mendoza that we got a water bottle :) The servers were always checking on us. We ordered a milanesa (which is shared with two people). Quite a good portion and enough for 2 people. Ambiance was also good, a kinda vintage atmosphere. I'd recommend this place and it is on our top 3 😁 Menu available in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. Sorry, food was good and I even forgot to take pics. Enjoy!

Yelp
Small, intimate resto along Plaza Italia. Very good and usual empanadas. ($5500AR) The mains are meant for 2 people to share. ($42-45000AR) We had Bondiola de Cerdo - a slow roasted pork roast in mustard sauce w mashed sweet potatoes. delicious and more than we could eat. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. No English speakers however translator apps work great. Dessert is included with main course. Definitely will return on this trip.

Yelp
Where sharing is caring comes alive! Located in the heart of the city, Fuente y Fonda is an amazing local gem that everyone should try. All of their entree portions are meant for sharing. They have appetizers as well, we opted for the entrees. We had the churrasco which they graciously prepped in 2 different temperatures, it comes with the most delicious roasted potatoes and veggies. One of their staples is the Sheppard pie as well which is also very good. Alll of the entrees come with (2) desserts, we went with their standard flan with dulce de leche and it was divine. Staff was very attentive and the aesthetic of the restaurant is so unique, very vintage meets homey cuisine. Definitely a great place to try ou

Yelp
Warm and homey, and a short walk from our hotel on Plaza Independencia. Started with a bottle of a Zuccardi Q Chardonnay, excellent. A tasty free appetizer, made from grain, sort of like hummus. Warm bread. Small, delicate empanadas, excellent quality pastry, delicious filling, flavorful sauce. Lengua a la vina, superb. And then the letdown, Swiss chard malfatti with albondigas, a new dish. Beautiful presentation. Underseasoned, the malfatti were also doughy. We wished we had ordered the canelloni the couple next to us were devouring. And that's the problem with this menu. Mains are sized for two, so a mistake is amplified. Next time, milanesas. Two small desserts were included with the main course. The flan, with a deep brown dulce de leche and pera al vino with whipped cream were also excellent. Hope to try it again.

Yelp
A solid 4.5 star, and a surprising delight in Mendoza. Randomly walked by the place and not sure what to expect. I had the Roasted pork shoulder with honey mustard seasoning: the dish turned out tenderly toasted; The pork was juicy, well marinated. There was a small patch that was a bit too dry thus 4 (instead of 5 star). Parsley garnished mashed sweet potato and salad as sides. Chef came to the backyard to pick out the fresh herbs in the planter. Well balanced tastes, terrific presentation, cute ambiance but not pretentious, and friendly service. It's as if dining at friend's backyard kitchen. Olive oil is the highlight. Even half a portion is plenty big for one person. All entrees come with side salad and deserts. Staff speaks conversant English. Great for date night!

Yelp
Extremely satisfying when there's few places worth eating out in Mendoza. I've been to the so called top restaurants in the area. Always mediocre food and service. Fuente y Fonda is a breath of fresh air! Stick to the basics, traditional dishes, family style accompanied by great service. The only thing is the owner doesn't provide great service, his staff does, he needs to learn a thing or two from them. Don't hesitate, you will have a great time and experience, like you're eating at grandma's house.

Yelp
Fuente y Fonda has a super cool aesthetic aaaand I love their originality. I don't know any other restaurants that serve food family-style like this! It's fun for a group dinner, but the food isn't fantastic. The idea was there, but the dishes fell flat. They were all pretty bland. A highlight was the churrasco de ternera (steak). The milanesas napolitanas and the canoles were pretty average. I did however love the beet spread they served with the bread! Addicting enough for me to eat it plain off my plate... Oooops. Overall, really fun place and worth a visit.

Yelp
this little joint is known for big size meals enough to share as a family.. they do very simple and beautiful argentine food.. Pastel (shepards pie) and breaded beef with cheese and tomatoes.. torillas (potatoes, herbs and a bit of egg).. all amazing.. the pastel was super tasty.. it is served with cinnamon and sugar which at first you think it is crazy, but try it out. it brings the taste to a whole new level.. bread basket is really great.. and the water is free!! a rare treat :)

Yelp
Very nice ambiance in the patio, decent wine selection and good service. I want to give them more stars but the server forgot to bring out our food for a while and my friend did not like her plate (the duck escabeche).

Yelp
Not my favorite food (e g. Carnes de Argentina) here, mostly Italian style dishes (pastas, lasagna), but excellent value for money. Not catering to the typical tourist, but mostly locals. For the first time in.2wks I choose a non meat dish (fish, as in fish and chips, but without the chips , but with a very nice warm quiche like spinach dish and an 'ok' salad. Outstanding very nice personal-like friendly service. Great wine selection (as expected I the Mendoza area).. Highly recommend it unless you are looking for meat only (no lamb/Cordero and only one type of steak). All dishes are for 2+ and even then large portions. Free wifi as in most places.

Yelp
You might think these meals are simple, they are not. These guys somehow got the essence of our grandmother's meals and put them into our tables once again. Great tastes and a really cool place.

Yelp
This was a really unique and cute restaurant in downtown Mendoza. While the food and wine was good, I really think they could advance leaps and bounds with an expanded menu... we weren't really interested in sharing and didn't feel like that left us with a whole lot of choices, but what we got was delicious!

Yelp
Been a few times to this restaurant. The food is great and a very warm and friendly atmosphere. We've been there just 2 or 3 people but also had a couple of events with 20 people. And each time it was excellent. Highly recommend.. Something different.

Yelp
Very basic restaurant, feels like you're in someone's home rather than a restaurant. The staff was nice, though barely spoke English! The perk here is the water and dessert is on the house. We ordered one app and one main dish the Milanesa. It was tasty. Very Italian style reminded me of veal parm. It was breaded steak with cheese on top, tomatoes and ham. Overall tasty and not overpriced restaurant. For a low key night would recommend!
