Yelp
Warm and homey, and a short walk from our hotel on Plaza Independencia.
Started with a bottle of a Zuccardi Q Chardonnay, excellent.
A tasty free appetizer, made from grain, sort of like hummus. Warm bread. Small, delicate empanadas, excellent quality pastry, delicious filling, flavorful sauce. Lengua a la vina, superb. And then the letdown, Swiss chard malfatti with albondigas, a new dish. Beautiful presentation. Underseasoned, the malfatti were also doughy. We wished we had ordered the canelloni the couple next to us were devouring. And that's the problem with this menu. Mains are sized for two, so a mistake is amplified. Next time, milanesas.
Two small desserts were included with the main course. The flan, with a deep brown dulce de leche and pera al vino with whipped cream were also excellent.
Hope to try it again.
