Fuji Lake Hotel

This may not be the most luxurious hotel I’ve ever stayed at, but it’s by far my favorite! The staff’s service is exceptionally warm and attentive—truly second to none. The location is perfect, offering a stunning lake view. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. The buffet is delicious, full of variety and flavor. I have nothing but praise for this place. I hope to return again and again to witness Mt. Fuji in all four seasons—Fuji Lake Hotel, I will definitely be back!

The hotel itself is quite aged at this point, but still very well kept. Rooms are quite spacious, and the open air tub was excellent, although with the window open the noise coming from outside from the AC/pumps/etc. was pretty loud. The service was excellent. There's a shuttle service, which unfortunately does not run very early in the morning, so be prepared for somewhat of a walk to the station.

Great breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed the unlimited steak, sushi and beer served during dinner. Although the private onsen was small, we loved our room in 779 with views of both the lake and mount Fuji from the bed. We kept our windows open so we could see both as the sun rise.

We had a great stay! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The buffet dinner and breakfast had good options. Our room was big and clean. And the view of Mt. Fuji from our room was just amazing! Location is also advantageous, just in front of the lake but the nearest to the train station.

Absolutely a pleasant stay at the Fuji Lake Hotel, love it! Stayed for 2 nights, chose this hotel as it's very close to Lake Kawaguchi, and I can access a lot of places nearby using Fuji Lake Hotel as a starting point of my journey. The interiors of the hotel are elegant and well decorated with class, I traveled solo, the room given to me was very spacious and neat, which I appreciate very much! Public Bath is available, went there for onsen relaxation at night, when there were fewer people using it, clean and tidy facilities, quite happy with it. For my accommodation plan I booked, it included a breakfast buffet, the variety of cuisine is brilliant and I enjoyed the delicious taste offered by the hotel. Furthermore, because of the great meal I had from the breakfast buffet, I then walked in for the dinner buffet, to have peace of mind, so I can enjoy the meal at the hotel after a long day of sightseeing and travelling around. In classic Japanese style, this is one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had—but this is certainly not unique in Japan resort and mountain areas. This hotel fit right in with other stays where you are wowed with beautiful views, gorgeous (though somewhat old) rooms, relaxing onsen, yummy food, and kind service. The spot on the lake is perfect and an amazing way to wake up. The onsen was well outfitted with several different tubs (including outdoor ones) and a sauna. The buffets were so great and had many options. Would definitely stay here again and am afraid just one night here was too fast!

It is a great hotel for the value given the area. The private hot spring rooms are a nice way to spend time together with your partner and/or if you have tattoos. Good 3 Star hotel with a great service and location if you plan to stay longer and use buses/trains.

One of my favourite hotels I’ve ever stayed! Service was really excellent, stunning views of the lake (and Mt Fuji), large rooms, great Onsen experience - we used both the public and private options. Complimentary snacks and drinks in lobby. Definitely recommend the dinner buffet (great sushi, tempura, steak, and much more). Useful shop directly opposite where we could rent bikes and a boat on the lake. Thank you!
