(Posting from USA) This was my first time in Japan with my husband and we had such a wonderful time at this hotel resort! The hotel staff was incredibly accommodating and welcoming. I do agree that the hotel is somewhat outdated but that did not detract from our stay at all. We had a beautiful view of the lake from our room and enjoyed watching then sunrise reflect on Fuji-San from the observation deck. The onsen was clean and relaxing, a nice experience as it was our first time soaking in one. We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner onsite and the self-serve bar was also a plus. When people speak of Japan's high quality hospitality, I immediately think of this hotel's staff.

The service was excellent from check-in at 3 pm and check-out at 11 am. After check-in, staff escorted me to get the onsen equipment, yukata, towels, toiletries, and took me up the elevator. They explained the amenities in the room. The hotel room looked old-fashioned in a ryokan style, but it was clean. The view of Mount Fuji and Lake Yamanashi was amazing. There was a bed and four additional futon mattresses. Dinner offered a wide variety of international cuisine, including sushi, sashimi, wagyu steak, and a beer buffet. I couldn't even try everything! The quality was excellent and the food was delicious. There are separate outdoor onsen baths for men and women, massage chairs, and a shuttle service from the train station.

had lake view room, very relaxing bonus points too for the body wash, shampoo and conditioner which were really good - third picture very impressive spread for the breakfast and dinner buffets!! dinner one even has a diy cocktail bar, ice cream machine, steak station… also do not skip the delicious fruits like melon, strawberries etc :) last two pictures show the ground floor lounge area - very comfy, theres complimentary drinks (coffee, different types of tea, water etc) all day and also snack hour where they put out little baskets of biscuits and stuff. i tried many biscuits and bought my favourite ones from the hotel souvenir shop… it’s just across the lounge! location is right by the lake and very close to where you can rent the swan boats tip!!! if you are heading here from the bus station, you can go to the tourist info counter at the bus station and show them your reservation for this hotel, and they’ll send a free shuttle bus to pick you up, how nice is that. and finally, truly great service here, we felt very well taken care of. 10/10

We stayed here for 1 night and it was amazing! From entering the hotel all the way to our departure, the staff throughout are so warm and lovely. We were picked up at the Kawaguchiko Station by the hotel shuttle and arrived before check-in and left our bags. The hotel is on a prime spot on Lake Kawaguchiko with beautiful views and the time of our visit meant we got to see the beautiful autumn foliage that landscaped the hotel exterior. You are assigned a member of staff who show you to your rooms, pick up any amenities for the Onsen and thoroughly explain the process of using the onsite Onsen. We didn’t have time to use this facility but did check the area and everything was so clean and the entire hotel had a calm vibe. There is water, juices, tea and nibbles in the reception area to enjoy whilst taking in the views. We had a Lake View Western Style room on the west wing and it was so spacious and clean with amazing views. The breakfast and dinner buffet had an extensive range on offer and again, the staff were very hospitable. There is an observatory on the top floor where you can see Mt Fuji which is an added bonus! The hotel is only a 15 minute walk to the station, convenience stores and the ropeway and Oike park are also within walking distance. Would love to stay here again and could not recommend it more!

It was our annual family trip and we had high expectation on the staying as I booked a lake view room with 2 balconies according to the pictures on website. When I entered the room it just turned out to be disappointing that only one balcony and limited lake view also half the room and the bathroom are very outdated. It should never been sold as other lake view rooms unless mentioned specifically. I speak Japanese and English so it’s not a problem for me to communicate in the hotel but just wanna let hotel know there’s one foreign worker who is so hard to let us know what languages she was speaking, it’s kind of interesting. The photos show below is the comparison of what we got and what shows on website. How could it be charged at the same price as a lake view room?

We stayed here for 2 nights - to try and ensure we did see Mt Fuji. Having booked and then read some of the reviews, I was pretty worried. Yes, the beds are rather hard, and maybe our room could do with a bit of a refresh, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a private onsen in our room which had a view of Fuji - and was just lovely. The hotel has an observatory room with great views of Fuji and the lake. From what I could tell, it seems to be only hotel whose grounds are right on the lake - all the others seem to have either a road or car park in between them and the lake. It was so nice to sit in the November sun with a beer (from the hotel vending machine) by the lake. The dinner buffet was varied - and includes drinks. And the views from the 6th floor restaurant in the mornings were just stunning. They run regular shuttles to the station (about a 15 min walk) and the ropeway is a 5 min walk. I would definitely stay here if I went back.

I have enjoyed the experience and services that Fuji lake hotel has to offer! Right as you enter the hotel, you are greeted with warm smiles and accommodating hospitality by the staff. The staff is very polite and helping in assisting you to your room and elsewhere. Booking the room facing the lake, the room and view was amazing. The room is spacious and you feel clean as you enter. The view relaxes you as you can see it through panoramic windows. The buffet was on another level 🤯 The steak is cooked well and full of flavor. All the chefs and staff are so happy and in a good mood, they offer and welcome you to get all the food they offer! You can also make your own dessert because they have an ice cream machine you can use! At night, you can have a relaxing onsen session, private or public. Availing the private onsen, you experience total relaxation and zen with the hot water and complete amenities. Overall, from the first day of staying in the hotel to the last, you will feel nothing but warm, comfort, and peace. Will definitely book this hotel again when I go back to visit Mt. Fuji!!!!! 🗻

If you’re coming from kawaguchiko station, go to the tourist information counter and show your hotel booking, they will call the hotel shuttle for you! Very convenient! We arrived early so we dropped our luggage at the hotel. When our room was ready they had brought our bags up before we checked in. Amazing lake view from the hotel and the Fuji view from Fuji viewing room!! Room was comfortable. Loved the onsen!! We had both dinner and breakfast buffet. Both were very good. Beautiful breakfast with a Fuji San view!! Would love to come back here again.
