Fuji Restaurant in Budapest features a nice, minimalist interior design that feels clean and refined. The service was kind and accommodating. The food was tasty and enjoyable, with generous portions and fair prices, especially considering it’s a Japanese restaurant in the 2nd district. While I’ve experienced more extraordinary Japanese flavors in Budapest, the overall dining experience was still pleasant. One downsize was that we were being asked to leave at 9:50 PM, slightly earlier than their advertised closing time of 10 PM.

Amazing Japanese restaurant. Produce and food were high quality and fresh. Decent menu variety serving wide selection of sashimi and sushi. Prices were high but acceptable for the quality and level of customer service. We had lunch in the private tatami rooms with traditional flooring, sit-down table, wall petition, and sliding doors to create a truly traditional Japanese experience. Staff were friendly and courteous.

Really enjoyed our lunch in a nice tatami room at this Japanese restaurant. Although mostly traditional they have some pretty funky, tasty and interesting dishes. The wagyu steak with a unique miso carbonara pasta was superb as were the various crispy rolls. Loved it.

I can say without a doubt that this is the best Japanese restaurant in Budapest. I had the opportunity to try toro tuna and various sashimi. the beef wagyu simply melted in mouth. wagyu carbonara was delicious and I have never heard about it. everything was fresh and looked amazing. Staff was super nice and helped with what to choose. You have also private rooms which is great for a business meetings or family/ friends reunions. In my opinion it’s a must if you’re in Budapest - it’s not in a city centre but definitely worth coming

The best sushi in Budapest. The sushi is always fresh, we love coming here for family meals. The appetizers are excellent including all the cold and hot dishes. And of course the mochi.

Great find. I randomly walked in and had a great surprise. It felt like an authentic Japanese restaurant and everything was tasty. I ate an Udon soup and vegetarian gyoza, both were very tasty. Highly recommend the place!

Expensive but really great and quality food. Atmosphere is OK, but they play some free jazz webradio instead of japanese music as they used to.

The private tatami rooms are so nice, perfect for group gathering. The staff are also really hospitable and helpful. Food is the short end. The Katsudon was overall too salty, and the katsu piece in it was thin and lean. Hardly worth the price if not considering the great atmosphere and location. But try for yourself; I don't know about other dishes.
