Fujian Quanzhou Hotel

The location is superb, and they give you souvenirs for your stay if you book through trip. but that was it. The facilities are old, which is pretty much expected. Hotel Service was soso. One of their staff was rude, while the others were nice. So I cant say its excellent service. Given the miscommunication between Trip.com and the hotel, the room type i booked actually only has internal view or no view at all. The details on trip said it's city view, so I was expecting to see some nice views of Quanzhou when i went into the room. Much to my dismay, all i see are blocks (picture attached). As the hotel is old, their lighting system is dark. Additionally, the views are blocked, so the room is even darker. I managed to change to another room, but still, no nice view. With all disappointment, I reflected my situation to Trip com CS and they are very responsive and helpful. They changed the description for this room type in just a few days.

The hotel is old and dated but my room was awesome - with a smart toilet too, and I would like to thank the kindly housekeeping staff , Li Qiaoyun, for her attentive service. The check in staff gave me plenty of tips for good Quanzhou food and it’s helpful. Will be happy to stay in Quanzhou Hotel if I come by again.

We have had a very pleasant 3-day stay for the first time at this hotel. Most impressed with the very courteous and efficient customer service delivered by all the frontline staff. We would like to highlight the excellent service rendered by their duty housekeeping staff named 郑惠川. She always greeted us with a pleasant smile.She has kept the room in tiptop condition throughput our stay and has promptly and effectively handled each and every request of ours. We were particularly touched by her one small gesture, as illustrated in the little note she sent us (attached). We would appreciate it if our compliments about 郑惠川could be conveyed to the hotel management.We also noted the excellent location of the hotel in the old city of Quanzhou. Would strongly recommend the hotel for anyone who wish to explore the old city.

Breakfast buffet has a good mix of varieties. Room is spacious, well equipped with amenities. Housekeeping and restaurant services are good!

Great location - nearby are many shops and restaurants. Breakfast is good and relatively cheap, with a variety of food options. Hotel is a bit old but is generally clean. The main reason to stay here would be the central location.

Very helpful and strategic location. Convenient to go all the place of attractions. The room is clean and I like a lot of the steamed tea aroma spread out on the entire hotel.

Location is unbeatable. Right in the middle of where all the old city tourist action is. Very convenient to flag down one of those RMB2 per trip electric buggies which will pick you up and drop you off anywhere within the old city tourist area. Loads of food choices within walking distance. Room is decent size and I like the hotel carpets with the famous citong flowers. Hotel was probably a 5 star hotel in its hey days. Decor is jaded but well maintained. Counter staff is hit and miss. Some are pleasant and courteous while some are like army captains frowning on stupid English speaking guests!! Housekeeping staff tend to pay very close attention to guests' coming and leaving. It seems that they would like you out of your room by 8am for housekeeping services. Do not disturb signs are ignored. Did not try the hotel food as outside food choices seem more appealing.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel, which is within a 10-minute walk from various attractions. While the decor feels a bit dated, the overall experience was satisfying. Kylie’s service stood out for being attentive and friendly. I would recommend it for its value and accessibility.
