5 top music festivals around the world worth travelling for - SilverKris

"Asia’s biggest alternative and pop music festival located at an off-season ski resort about an hour from Tokyo by bullet train; it pairs a strong line-up of contemporary acts with camping facilities and striking natural scenery." - SilverKris

It was fun and cheap. You pay at the front and it’s a pretty easy process. Wish their website was better and told you opening and closing for specific dates. There was only 1 lift open today on Christmas. Not much snow but still fun. The snowboard rental was good.

The resort is very crowded even on weekdays. If you are a complete beginner with no prior skiing experience, this may not be the best place to start, as the beginner slopes are not very beginner friendly and assume at least some basic knowledge. Purchasing a lift ticket for the beginner slope may not be good value for first timers. Access to the resort is open to everyone, including non skiers. As a result, the main learning area where true beginners would normally practice is often crowded with people who are just sightseeing or taking photos, which creates safety concerns. The resort relies heavily on artificial snow due to limited natural snowfall, and the snow quality is noticeably poorer compared to other ski resorts. Overall, better crowd control and clearer separation between skiers and non skiers would greatly improve both safety and the skiing experience.

Snow Resort Yeti is a fantastic place for some winter fun, especially if you’re visiting Mt. Fuji! The snow activities are perfect for beginners and families. The view of the iconic Mt. Fuji in the background makes the experience even more breathtaking. The resort is well-managed, equipment rentals are convenient, and the staff is super friendly. Definitely a must-visit for snow lovers in Japan!

Came on Monday thinking no one, turns out entire Japan is here. Could not be more disappointed. Wanted to ski turns out to be a photoshoot as mount Fuji is visible. Not to mention 3 slopes available with no beginner slopes.

The ski resort was quite interesting; we spent our time there from noon until the afternoon, and the sunlight during this period was perfect for taking photos. The weather was also very favorable, and the support services were quick. I encountered a minor issue with the locker as the machine only accepted 100-yen coins.

A very fun and well maintained snow resort. I’ve been here twice, once for snowboarding and once to do some sledding with my friend’s kids. Both trips were an absolute blast and a true delight. Extremely beautiful views, well maintained facilities, and reasonable prices. The food was of course excellent. I remember this place very fondly.

Google
Highly highly recommended this snow resort to boarders/ skiers enthusiasts from beginners to advanced level. Spacious skiing trail and the male instructor by the nickname of Tom Cruise was super experienced, patient, motivating and friendly. The food are pretty good too. Thumbs up to the facilities and the effort to upkeep of the entire place

Yelp
The runs are really short but it was nice to ride with Mt. Fuji in the background.
