Nestled directly on the vibrant Ginzan Onsen street, this hotel offers a unique experience. Upon arrival, you'll park your car in the designated lot, where a hotel representative will promptly greet and escort you. Indulge in the convenience of having both delectable dinner and breakfast served in the comfort of your room. While our room didn't feature a private shower, the hotel boasts five charming private onsens for guest use. The culinary offerings for both dinner and breakfast were truly exceptional. Our only minor observation was that the elevator lighting could be improved. Be aware that the price point leans towards the higher end, reflecting the hotel's prime location and exceptional service.

Highly recommend this hotel ! Probably the best among others in Ginzan area. The service and privacy + the amazing in house onsen experiences are truly amazing. The staff are amazing with their service and I have to thank them from the bottom of my heart for the timely email follow ups and check in process. The kaiseki meal is really amazing. And honestly very very very filling. Book and reserve rooms as early as you can ! It’s worth every dollar !

Stayed for 1 night to experience the onsen in this nice little village. A one night is more than sufficient to see the night light up, magical.||This is a very modern looking ryokan but can be a bit impractical (in terms of light switches etc). But those are minor details. There are only 8 rooms and 5 baths to experience, that’s the main highlight. There is no reservation needed and all are private baths for the whole room.||The food is average but then again food is not the highlight of this onsen village. The meal portion is sufficient.||Service is impeccable and little English is spoken. If you drive, there is a carpark about 500m away and the hotel will sent someone to pick you up at the carpark. ||The only challenge I had was sleeping on the floor with the thin mattress, tough getting up and the light switches are many steps away. ||Meals are served in the room but if you travelling with a bigger group and want to have your meals together, it can be arrange on the ground floor.||Highly recommended stay.

This place has 5 private onsen you can come and go at your leisure, so long as no one's currently using one. They're available at all times of the day and provide a great place to rest and let your body relax in its hot and naturally sulfurous waters. My personal favorite was on the third floor with a great view of the snow and natural ventilation which provides a refreshing contrast between the hot water and freezing cold winter air. Their kaiseki dinners are another great highlight which provide an amazing variety of food carefully prepared to your personal tastes so long as you provide instructions ahead of time. I personally got a little sick after eating so much but it was due to their generous portions. They also lend out winter coats and boots to their patrons but be warned if you're a big guy everything will fit very tight, especially their yukata and boots (the max size they had was 28). They mostly only speak Japanese so be sure to brush up on it in order to get the most out of your experience. Rooms are limited to just 8 so be willing to compromise on their available dates.

Had a delightful stopover at the Ginzan Onsen and this hotel delivered a great experience. 5 private Onsen for guests to use, each one different. The rooms were a modern style of traditional Japanese inns, including the beds and food. The evening meal was a real experience, and something I'd recommend for any adventurous foodie

Thanks to Mr Fuji and Ms Ayaka for giving me and my family the best onsen vacation. The property is like a work of art using the best design and craftsmanship to construct this amazing inn. From the wooden structure, stained glass, paper treatments etc you can see the best workmanship. The culinary experience is also unmatched. This 400 year old inn is still family run - Mr Fuji is humble and continues with the family tradition of bringing the best onsen experience to its guests. Will definitely come back again! Thanks to the entire Fujiyama team for making our stay so memorable.

Rooms were spacious and service was top notched. Just a little hard to get to if you’re dragging a luggage as the area is a car restriction zone. Fortunately, the helpful staff are avail to carry your luggage for you from the designated parking area. However, the winter view is worth while for that added hassle. Especially magical when it snows.

Good location but not easy to get to. Our room had great view of the town but the bathroom didn't have door. Washbasin was at the top of the bed with mirror hanging down from the ceiling. Very strange and impractical layout. Food was acceptable. Good miso soup. With the exception of one member of staff who was rude, not what you would expect from a japanese ryokan, the rest of the staff were good, friendly and helpful.
