I was impressed by the beauty of the ancient building. It looks very elegant and classic. Inside, there is a small cafe selling coffee and pastries. The atmosphere inside the shop looks mysterious and peaceful. The other side is a working space with many customers. It looks like there are many people using the service. It is an area for people who want to read books or find a place to sit and work on computers. I ordered coffee to drink. It tastes good. It is a place to sit, drink coffee and absorb the atmosphere and story of this building. If you want to take the building walk tour ,you can contact the public relations officer to take you for a tour. Overall, I really like it. If you have free time from shopping or traveling outside the city, you can come and visit.

A nice itinerary when in Tenjin area. A beautifully restored historic structure. A co-working space and a coffee shop is located on the ground floor. Some restored rooms to explore on the second floor - with nothing much to see. Entrance is free. Toilet is located at the back. The building exterior is more interesting than the interior. As a tourist if you skipped going inside, nothing much is missed.

A quirky yet surprising pleasant attraction just next to my hotel. Visited at night with a tinge of excitement and hesistant anticipation. True to expectations, the walk up the entrance stairs was greeted by a rickety metal framed door, which led to a reception area and a sitting janitor. Saw a sign that says free admission. First impression really gave me the creeps. It was exactly something like a scene out of a Resident Evil mansion. Just look at the pics. Anyway, i was able to explore the restored colonial styled building all to myself, as there was literally not a soul there, except the zombie-like attendant fixated at the entrance. Highly recommended to go at night, preferably alone, to scare yourself silly.

Honestly not much to see but it is free so I can't complain. It's like 4 rooms with chairs in them. Pretty boring. Staff are sweet though

Beautifully preserved and very iconic looking. A great landmark in Fukuoka. We didn’t have time to visit so it was just a bypass and outside admire sort of thing. 👍🏻

A rare western style historical building in Fukuoka. It is a free museum for those interested in historical buildings. It takes around 5-10 mins to go through all the open areas. Good for a short visit if you are already around that area.

Just happened to pass by here walking around that night so I did not enter. But the building looks magnificent and well-lit all over. I'll definitely have a look inside next time.

A building of red bricks. There’s a Tori Gate right next to it.
