This place is a 10/10. Even the kids loved it. It’s beautiful and the history behind it is neat. There is a koi pond and you can pay 100 yen to feed them. The tickets are inexpensive so your whole family can enjoy. There is a parking lot just a block down the street. Very enjoyable and instagrammable place.

This garden is a must see if you are in Naha. I spent more than an hour touring the property, enjoying the scenery, and feeding the very hungry Koi fish. If you like taking pictures you’ll be in heaven. It is also one of the least expensive attractions I visited in Okinawa.

This beautiful garden is a hidden gem tucked away in the city of Naha. It offers a peaceful escape from the busy streets, with several distinct and unique areas to explore, each with its own atmosphere and charm. One of the highlights is visiting in the evening – the garden stays open after dark, and soft lighting throughout the park creates a magical and serene ambiance. It’s a completely different experience from the daytime visit. The entrance fee is very affordable, making it a great option for anyone looking to enjoy nature, beauty, and tranquility without leaving the city. Highly recommended.

Better than expected from the outside, this is a pretty elaborate garden with so much to explore. I loved the ‘hidden’ underground cave which places you behind the waterfall! The minimal entry fee is worth the reward.

Probably one of my favorites places in Okinawa ! It does not look much from the outside but it is actually quite huge inside with lots of intertwined paths. The scenery is amazing, with great Chinese and Japanese architecture, sculptures and beautiful flowers, ponds and waterfall. It's quite inexpensive for the place and you can relax in a great environment for some time. It's so beautiful we saw a marriage photoshoot when we were there.

A peaceful and well-kept garden in the middle of the city. The waterfalls and bridges make it feel like a small oasis. It’s not very big, but perfect for a short, relaxing walk and some quiet moments.

A peaceful place for a wondering walk. Lots of fruit trees to look at and you can buy fish food to feed the koi. Beautiful.

It was a very beautiful Chinese garden with a lake, small pavilions and mountains. The location was quiet and not to crowded. You could buy koi food and feed the fish. It was very relaxing and a good spot to take nice pictures. Later on in the evening colorful light was turned on what gave the garden a nice romantic tone.

Yelp
This is the epitome of beauty in Japanese gardens. It was a first garden and it felt magical, mystical and certainly spiritual. You can get bags of food to feed the Koi fish. I encourage you to take your time to be present and observe all the elements. I specially enjoyed the variety of animal statues.

Yelp
What a wonderful garden! It's a hidden gem in Naha and a must visit. The architecture is great, the orientalist garden design is solid. The size is also quite generous. I particularly loved the multiple layers of views horizontally and vertically. Waterfalls are beautiful. It was raining when we went so we walked under covered corridors and sat in the covered pagodas to soak in the intricacies of this place. Slowing down really brought a new perspective and enabled a better appreciation of the details. We also spent some time getting an afternoon tea and a snack at the cafeteria. They offer real loose tea leaves to brew your kungfu tea. And the food was delicious as well. Strongly recommend the purple yam xiaolongbao - they are sweet, creamy and fluffy... so great!

Yelp
A beautiful place to relax and stroll. You are to feed the fish as well. Extremely cheap and would visit this place every weekend if I lived here. It's so peaceful.

Yelp
If you're driving to Fukushuen Garden, you can park by the playground in the alleyway between the Izakaya Restaurant and Okinawa Washington Hotel Dai 2 Parking Lot for free. Entrance fee is 200Y per adult and upon entry, you can grab a pamphlet in English detailing all the sights. The garden is designed and divided into three sections, each representing a season (Spring, Summer, and a combined Autumn and Winter). It's very beautiful and peaceful but not particularly large. You can easily spend an hour here, just wandering the grounds. My favorite sights were on the pavilions in the Autumn and Winter section; you can walk up the rock paths and stand on the pavilions (Pavilion of Ye and Qing Yan Pavilion) to get an overarching view of the garden and surrounding cityscape. Pay 100Y for a box of carp feed and you can feed the koi in various ponds and maybe even see a hawk swoop down and grab a fish like we did! (Aside: The hawk grabbed a fish and circled the pond a couple times before body slamming it into the Soaring Rainbow Bridge. Most intense 30 seconds of the entire visit!) In addition, you can also visit the Kuninda Terrace right next door and learn about Ryukyu and Kuninda history and culture and walk roughly 10-15 mins down the street to visit Naminoue Shrine. Highly recommend both for a day visit!

Yelp
Really nice garden in the heart of Naha! It's not as big as fancy as some of the world class gardens in Kyoto, but for Okinawa it's quite good!! It's cheap (200 yen, or less if you have a monorail 1-2 day pass), nice water features & plants, exceptionally exquisite stone sculptures (including 4 huge dragon pillars), and you can feed the fish and turtles for only 100 yen! If you are nearby, it's definitely worth a visit (it's quite close to kokusai dori, the ferry terminal, bus terminal, and a couple monorail stations). We spent about an hour slowly walking through but if you're going fast it could take as short as 20-30 minutes.

Yelp
I loved this place. Where the waterfall is at there's a side entrance to a cave that leads you inside. Went before I left home. It's about 2 miles from the airport. Must go!!

Yelp
I went to Fukushu garden today on a tour and I had a great time. The garden was very peaceful and welcoming. It costs 200 yen to enter and there are vending machines scattered throughout where you can buy fish pellets to feed the koi and turtles for 100 yen. It's a nice place to escape the hustle, bustle, and traffic of Naha and soak in some of the scenery. There are many pagodas, beautiful architecture, and several waterfalls throughout. A nice place to stroll, read a book, or tour if you have the time.

Yelp
Beautiful park. Even though it is quite small, we easily spent more than an hour strolling around. Not only can you sit at the top of the waterfall, you can walk both directly in front of it and behind it. The garden design has strong Chinese influences. Many of the rocks and sculptures were imported from Naha's sister city in China. Check out the carved granite dragon columns - they are pretty incredible.
