Full Moon Budapest

So when I booked this it did say hotel. when I checked after, it said to my surprise and shock hostel. So I tried to changed it, as the reviews were not great..but I couldn't and I thought as im only sleeping there I put up with it... but im glad I didn't change! On arrival the door entrance and stairs are not great and I thought oh no!! When I got to reception the girl was lovely and quickly we got to our room... I was so surprised how spotlessly clean it was, moden and bright...ok its not 5 star but for the money I paid including breakfast it was brilliant..No one bothers you,even at breakfast,I loved it...yes the breakfast is your standard egg meat rolls etc juice and coffee,but enough for me..I was there 5 days my towels changed every day..and housekeeping was done daily,I have no complaints... I was on the second floor facing the side road and not once did any music stop me or my husband from sleeping as some have mentioned... if fact I only heard music once when I came home at 11.30pm but it wasn't shocking and I never heard drunks or smashing of bottles... The place was situated not far from St Margaret Bridge all trams, busses so easy to get..also as i had my 66 birthday here all over 65 have free transport..just show your passport!! I was only asked once,that includes the bus to and from the airport.|Overall I can not pick anything to moan about as much as I try.. I loved this place and Budapest, the room was warm and spotlessly clean.. well done to all the staff, I would definitely recommend here.

I had a wonderful stay at Full Moon Budapest Hotel. The location is perfect—right on Szent István körút, just a short walk from Parliament, Margaret Island, and plenty of restaurants and bars. It made exploring the city so easy and enjoyable. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The atmosphere was lively yet surprisingly quiet inside the rooms, which was a great balance. What really stood out was the staff. They were very nice and helpful, always ready with a smile and quick to assist with directions, recommendations, or any requests. Their friendliness made me feel truly welcome. The hotel also offers great amenities like free Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, and shuttle services, which added to the convenience. For the price, it’s excellent value and I would happily stay here again. Overall: A very nice hotel with a fantastic location, clean rooms, and outstanding staff. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Budapest!

The room was clean and on decent location. If you arrive late there is probably going to be a loud party on the first floor. I had a hart time finding the reception because the security werent giving exact directions.

Hotel Review: A mixed experience (3/5) After a one-week stay, I am rating this hotel 3 out of 5 stars. Here is a detailed breakdown of the pros and cons: The Positives To start with the good points: the hotel is clean and aesthetically pleasing. The housekeeping staff does an excellent job daily. I also enjoyed the breakfast, which offered a good variety of choices. The rooms are decent, and the staff is generally pleasant. In short, almost everything would be perfect, if not for one major issue. The Negatives There is only one downside, but it is a significant one: the Morrison 2 nightclub located right below the hotel. Hygiene & Atmosphere: The lobby smells of vomit, and the odor lingers up to the first floor. Additionally, on busy nights (Thursday and Saturday), the hotel common areas are crowded with intoxicated people. The Noise (First Night): My first night was in a room on the 1st floor, overlooking the club entrance. It was a terrible experience. Even with earplugs, the room acted like a resonance chamber; the background noise was unbearable, and the bed was literally vibrating from the bass. The Early Hours: When the music finally stopped around 5:00 AM, people outside were shouting, making sleep impossible. Resolution I moved to a room on the 2nd floor for the remainder of my stay. This room faced a different street; while there was still some ambient noise, I was able to sleep reasonably well with earplugs. Summary: Your stay here will be great if you are placed in a noise-isolated room. However, if you end up near the club, it can be a nightmare. I strongly recommend requesting a room on the upper floors or one facing away from the entrance.

My experience at Full Moon Budapest was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. First, the hotel is very bad, and what made it even worse is that there is a nightclub located in the same building. This was not mentioned anywhere on the booking platform, which prevented us from making an informed decision before choosing the hotel. The noise from the nightclub was unbearable every night from around 8 PM until after dawn. Second, the reception service was poor. When I received the room key, I was shocked to find that the room was extremely small and not the room type I had originally booked. When I went back to the reception to ask about the issue, the staff took us to several rooms to choose from, and only then we were given the correct room type. Third, housekeeping starts at 8 AM, and they are extremely noisy with no consideration for guests who are still sleeping. So at night we suffered from the nightclub noise, and in the morning we suffered from the housekeeping noise. Fourth, the elevator on the first floor is shut down from 8 PM due to the nightclub. When we checked out, the elevator was not working, and we had to carry our luggage down from the fourth floor using the stairs. Overall, the stay was very uncomfortable due to the constant noise, poor service, and lack of transparency in the hotel description. I strongly advise against booking this hotel.

The room was okay, did not get to know which of the three bedroom place we would get. They are very passive answering both being the reception aswell as calling their telephone number. A bit ungenerous only giving 2 big and 2 small towels every 3 days and not changing the bed sheets. The night club close is disturbing, the room is not noise-cancelling the noise from the nightclub. Good things could be leaving your bags for free, comfortable beds, big waredrob, good location central. Another bad thing could be that they did not clean the room even though we one day put up the clean our room card. For that reason 280 euros for 4 days is a bit much

The staff was nice but it’s located in the same building as a night club, so very noisy, my room was on the street side and I could hear people outside talking loud until are night. I don’t understand who had the wonderful idea to put a night club AND an hotel in the same building? That makes no sens. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Too noisy. The club under the hotel was operating everyday until after 4:00 and the music was very loud. Also the room had windows on the balcony/corridor were people were smoking. You couldn't open it for fresh air or to have light in the room. Everyone could see you.
