My son loves this place. We usually walk down the backside of the airport so he can see the trains and planes at the same time, but we also went to the Wing’s Cafe and saw the planes go by from the inside. We come here several times a week because it’s so close to our house and a great way to get fresh air and out of the house

Great regional airport, convenient, secure, fun and accurate control tower personnel. Wings Cafe is comfortable, well decorated with runway lights, historic flight gear and real propellers, air conditioned serving tasty meals 8am til 2pm. Watch landing is also air conditioned, historic photos and decorations with a great view to see planes take off and land.

Antique airplane day (2nd Sunday every month) was great fun. Seeing some vintage planes and getting to talk with some pilot/owners was interesting.

Best airport around! The staff is amazing from the FBO (general aviation) the fuel guys are the best! To the tower, Renee especially is the coolest controller i have ever had the chance to talk to. Loved doing my training flying to this airport and love working at an airport with such awesome people!

Grew up flying here. Tucked away - nice and busy. Surrounding area is really nice too. Love it!

The history of Fullerton Municipal Airport origins back to 1913, when barnstormers and crop duster used the pig farm land as a make shift landing strip, then a sewer farm which today is Fullerton Municipal Airport. Hanger 21 is location in the airport, I was here for na wedding event in this hanger, which many events here, it is also the location for Hangar 21 Helicopters, they 60 and 30 mins. tours. This place is huge with a lot's of room to do just about anything under the moon or sun.The staff was very friendly plus nice, this is a wonderful place.

The airport itself can trace its roots back to 1913. It also has been used as a movie set back in the day. The airport itself has a 3100 foot runway 6/24 as well as a helipad. We were here at a converted hanger now event space so we were right on the ramp. It was evening time so activity at the airport was light. Aside from that there is not much else here unless you are using the event space or the airport

Can we ask pilots to be considerate of neighbors and not fly their planes low to the ground with loud engines on a Saturday morning at 8:20 am?

Up Up and Awaaaay!!!! A Unique Dining Experience without leaving the Ground! Something Different, Something New.. Easiest way to fly. Park 50 feet from your plane and no stress at all. Yes, this is 100x easier than even Long Beach. Only downside is.... I am so scared of tiny planes and the bumpy flights upset my stomach. The huge bonus is there is a restaurant here with decent coffee and food options. You can eat here without even flying. The restaurant is worth a visit. Grab a coffee or a meal and just watch the planes just steps from the runway. You wont get the best food but it is AOK...Just a unique ambiance and a must try experience right in our own backyard. Always Parking and so easy to visit. Bonus-Yelp Checkin counts towards that Airport Badge! I am a fan!

Fullerton was my pick-up spot last week for a plane ride over to Camarillo. Arrived around 5 p.m last Wednesday to a d-e-d dead looking airport with plenty of parking. Our pilot picked us up in his small plane and explained my role as co-pilot before we boarded the plane as well as go over the S.A.F.E.T.Y acronym. The guys in tower were polite and attentive and guided us to the run-up area to do our final checks. We landed about an hour later to just the emptiest and quietest airport ever. Definitely a great alternative to John Wayne if you're flying small planes.

I came here for the first time for Airport Day. It was a brisk walk away from where I live so I decided to go since it was free admission. The day was perfect. It was overcast with a slight breeze. The announcer did say that the same time last year, it was so HOT that it was miserable. The great thing about this event was the mere fact that it was FREE and it wasn't insanely packed with people. It felt like I was at a small town fair. There were plenty of airplanes to check out and displays. You could even pay a handsome fee and go for a helicopter ride or get into one of those old WWII fighter planes or even a biplane. Both were out of my price range so I just watched from afar. Besides planes, there were other things on display like old cars and police vehicles. There were also a few food booths which included Dick's BBQ, an In n Out truck, and a mom and pop pizza joint. They were all reasonably priced considering it was a special event. There were also little booths where kids could have their parents burn their hard earned cash for piece of crap toys that probably contained substances that cause cancer. You could probably see and enjoy everything in the span of an hour if you really wanted to but I stayed for a couple due to nice weather. I enjoyed this event because it was family friendly and didn't have to worry about idiot gangsters starting any trouble. Although I did see a really strange man wearing a burka carrying a small handheld radio, flip phone, and video camera. Stereotypical as it was, it did make me wonder... Either way, unless they have something incredible next year, I might consider going back. This event is great for families with kids.

Love to go with Grandson every second Sunday to check out the vintage airplanes up close and to eat at Wings Cafe. Their sausage is to die for. Always have to sit near the window with the little one at the Controls and watching all the planes taking off or landing- the Best Show and nice group of people!!!

My grandfather, Chet Sowinski, turned 95 today and the one thing he wanted to do was go flying. He is a retired pilot and had a plane at the Fullerton Airport for 10 years in the late 70's/early 80's. Tina Bateman, the office manager at the airport made arrangements for gramps to fly with one of the flight instructors, Jim Pickens. Tina and Jim and all the other crew members there made this the best day ever for my grandpa! Jim took him up for an hour flight and gramps flew the whole trip except for the landing. Jim took video for us and we all had a nice lunch and cake afterwards in the office. We made connections there that I'm sure will last for a few more flight trips for gramps. Seriously, best day ever! Thanks so much for a great day!

I've never flown in or out of this airport, but my son and I usually stop by at least one weekend a month to do some passive planespotting. Catering primarily to small planes, the airport makes for some great prop plane watching. There's an easily accessible viewing area, complete with bench and pop machine, between the terminal building and the landing strip. The traffic is busy enough that if you spend 30-45 minutes there, you can easily catch a handful of takeoffs and landings. Inside the airport are public restrooms and a restaurant called Tartuffles. The eatery caters mostly to the retiree and private pilot set -- leisure fliers -- and features a relatively basic menu. I've eaten there once, and it was nothing special -- but it is a neat experience to eat while watching the runway. Great for kids.

Doesn't make nearly as much noise disturbance as one would think. The loudest things are the daily helicopter and every now and then it sounds like a jet craft comes.

Essential infrastructure for all of North Orange County and adjacent LA County. Fantastic little airport with Air Combat USA, Sky Thrills, and soon Blackstone Airways HQ'd there. OC Fire and CHP also have base ops there too. Coming very soon is a brand new themed restaurant.

Unfamiliar with the run-up area and the signage is a bit confusing. Ground controller was impatient and demonstrated unnecessary roughness. Very condescending tone of voice and instruction. Never encountered such unprofessionalism even in much more complex and busy airports. Otherwise it's a beautiful airport and easy access below Class Bravo LAX airspace.

Great historical place.Used to have flying ford trimotor only plane except b24 that ford ever built! Was ostrich farm in 1920s they were raised for their feathers leather and meat. Ostrich feathers still used to remove electro static charge from newly painted cars.this is where i learned to fly in Rockwell Flying Club aircraft in 1970s.

My review will be about a tour we took the kiddos to this airport. Its has plenty of parking & with a small restaurant inside. Our tour guide was a nice lady named Jacky. For the kids we dont need all the details just to point at airplanes taking off or landing. They were able to pose with the CHP helicopter and a small little barrell looking airplane and they were happy. They got a nice little wings pin after our tour. The adults learned about the history of this airport, the wind sock & about fueling the planes there. There will be a family friendly event in October. As another review pointed out, the 2nd sunday of the month they do an aircraft show. Dont miss out. This is one of the few municipal airports around in so cal.

Did not like how one of the workers treated us. We saw them letting other people go through that gate but did not let us. Either he was being racist or not. It ruined my trip of coming here and looking at airplanes. Really rude and disrespectful.

There was a plane convention today and I just decided why not stop by and see what's going on? The place was nice but the workers have the biggest attitude and are racist I'm an asian American there was a few people who weren't asian and they could go through the side gate as a shortcut for an exit but when I asked they said sorry you have to go around to the tower to exit what kind of BS is that

Great events they have every year for kids. My daughter had so much fun. My friend told me about it and I'm glad I went. You can find out about so many great programs at these events and lots of vendors have good stuff. Make sure to researxh when the events will be.

I have eaten at the airport restaurant there and it is good and you can watch the planes fly in and out. Small airport though.

I live nearby and it seems so nice, and calm, those airport days.

Fullerton Airport Antique Aircraft Display on the 2nd Sun of every month run by a great group of dedicated Fullerton Pilots. The terminal has a restaurant and there is free wifi in the building. This is a great place to plane watch!

i have fond memories of this airport, though my memories are forty years old. One of my friends was a flying instructor at Gelder Aviation there in the 'sixties. He had free use of a Cessna 150 and on Saturday mornings we would take a turn around Orange County. He weighed about 250 pounds, and I tipped the scale at about 200. We could barely close the door of that mosquito. It took the entire runway to reach takeoff speed, about 59 mph. We would just clear the fence. Ignorance is bliss, but now, in my sixties, looking back is much scarier than it seemed at the time. Tom M, somewhere in Missouri.

This may not be the best review since I've never actually been here. But my kids love to go here with their dad on Saturday mornings for breakfast and plane-watching. *I* love it when they all leave the house on Saturday mornings for breakfast and plane-watching. Aaaaaaaaaaaah.
