Amazing food for such great value! All the dishes were extremely well balanced. The freshness of the protein and produce really stood out. Everything was perfectly cooked, and the staff were amazing. We ordered 7 dishes to share between 2 people and it was still only 25 euro each. Superb!!

Most memorable dinner of our Lisbon Trip. We came as a part of 4 with two kids. Chicken Pies were perfect for the kids with an order of rice. By far the best Squid we had. Highly recommended, off the main restaurant path, but completely worth it.

Amazing small restaurant. Great food and service. The concept is to serve tapas / small plates. So be ready to taste a lot of different flavours. We had the granddad chips (ok), the chicken pie (very good, like a brazilian “empadinha”), vegetables with creamy cheese (great), the pear sandwich (amazing), the smoked meats plate (the pork and the sausage are amazing). To finish a milk pudding with guava sauce (like a brazilian “romeu e julieta”) that was from heaven. A place to return!

If you're only going to try one restaurant in London, this should be it. The generous tapas dishes showcase the exquisite flavors of Portuguese cuisine. The warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with attentive service, will make you feel right at home.

The food here was decent however the temperatures were hit and miss, some food arrived at the table cold or luke warm, the service was also a little bit slow despite the restaurant being small and there being more than one staff members. Overall 7.5/10

Google
Fumeiro de Santa Catarina was probably one of the best food experiences I’ve ever had. We were so lucky to be able to enjoy dinner here on our visit to Lisbon. The service was exceptional and the food was extraordinary. 10/10 would recommend to everyone. Every dish we had was absolutely delicious! I hope we get the chance to come back soon.

Google
Absolute great experience, the staff super friendly, the vibe of the restaurant so quaint but also open feeling, a good range of options for food. I had the chicken pie which was amazing & the cod which personally was not for me but had a good taste to it. It’s a little off from the main bit but DEFINITELY WORTH IT!

Google
A total accidental discover but hands down the best food I’ve had in Lisbon. Food options range from things that are locally sourced to options that makes one wonder how does it go together but put everything on a plate and it’s an excellent culinary experience- one you shouldn’t miss. The staff is super friendly. I had the pear sandwich, aubergine and cherry tomatoes and the daddy chips ( to die for) Will definitely come back whenever I’m in Lisbon

Yelp
Wonderful little spot with delicious food skillfully prepared and great service. We had smoked chicken pies, lentil salad and the pear sandwich, all of which we highly recommend. The grilled fruit and basil ice cream for dessert was a delight.

Yelp
This was the first restaurant we ate at during our Portugal trip. We stayed 2 min from here (walk) and decided to drop by for dinner. This restaurant serves small plates and the food is fantastic. Wine tastes so much better than the wine I get for the same price in the US. I guess that's expected. It felt like I tasted fresh and authentic olive oil for the first time too! It's a very small restaurant. So don't expect a lot from the ambience. It has a family-run feel and the lady there was super nice. Great service. Good food.

Yelp
Tapas plates were presented beautifully and utterly delicious. The scallops with leeks and apples and potatoes was so good. We had the liter of white sangria and enjoyed it very much. This place is out of the way (but near to our Air B/B) and a nice find.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem. It located in a queit neighborhood. It's not your typical restaurants all over the city. However, one of the best meal i ate i Portugal. Great service, nice and cosy.

Yelp
This was one of your best meals in Lisbon, even more considering that we showed up a Saturday night without a reservation, were attended right away and given a table with the promise that we would finish in one hour, that was easy to do. We ordered the customary bacalhau and assorted vegetables but it was the octopus that made my day. I am a Spaniard, I have eaten octopus many times and this is definitely the best I ever had, tender, flavorful, smoky, lightly spicy, a treat. I will go back to Fumeiro next time in Lisbon, will make a reservation and enjoy exploring the menu.

Yelp
It's a nice tapasbar, you can choose between 20 tapas, the tapas are really easy to share. We were with six together and enjoyed the meal! A cosy night! The waitress was very sympathic.

Yelp
Nice cosy tapasbar. Good food, not so many choice and for lissabon a little bit overpriced .. good service

Yelp
Charming restaurant with good ambience and friendly staff. Unfortunately, I would have given five stars for the octopus dish but only three stars for the rest (duck confit, smocked chicken and frittata all of which were on the dry side).

Yelp
Tucked away amid the maze of small Bairro Alto streets, this restaurant is a very nice discovery. We just happened to walk by when it was closed, but were intrigued by the menu on the door. The word ''fumeiro'' meaning ''smoke'' gives a good hint at what's inside: everything served is some kind of smoked food. We liked the idea of several smallish portions--bigger than usual tapas in our experience, but small enough that you'll want to try 3 or 4 items on the menu. We had a crab and fennel soup that was only OK, a smoked octopus dish that was brilliant, very good smoked salmon, and fantastic smoked ribs. All were elegantly served with creative preparation. The service was good (and of course, everyone speaks English), and the ambience a bit hip and edgy, with Old School soul music on tape. We were the only people there at 7:30, but by the time we left, more people had arrived. The place doesn't open until 7, stays open late (12:30?), and in the summer months has a Sunday brunch starting at 1 p.m. We liked it!
