Great selection of items for your hotpot! The broth was spicy and tasty, the veggies and meat were fresh. The staff was helpful. We will definitely be back to try other HotPot flavors!

Definitely a spot to stop by! Get as much or as little as you want. It goes by the weight of your bowl. We had fun and it taste amazing. We love how they have so many choices to put into our bowl. Also the level of spice is perfect. Again pick what you want.

I love this place! It tastes just like the authentic Chinese instant hotpot (Ma La Tang). You choose whatever food you want and the flavor of soup you like, then they will cook (boil) for you. It’s less time consuming than a hot pot meal and convenient for an easy individual lunch/dinner.

Omg what a lovely and new concept restaurant! First one in North Carolina finally open!!!! Normally can only have “ma la guo” in big cities!! This is more like a buffet style, you choose the Fresh meats or veggies you want, then weight it and pay, then pick whagever soup base you like, same as the yogurt station: pick fresh fruit- yogurt- topping, the selection just great, pretty much anything you can think of!! Yes I would say is not cheap per pound, but one pound of food already make it full! Also, you are getting what you paid for (the quality and freshness of the food and meat) I highly recommend the traditional spicy soup and the hot and sour golden soup!!! Tomato soup base and curry base would be good selections for vegetarians. The homemade yogurt dessert is a must try!!! Took some good pictures for everyone as reference! Highly recommend this restaurant for everyone, health and tasty meal for old/ young people/ kids!!!

Went there during dinner time. They have a huge selection of food making it a great place for those with any diet restriction!! Thumbs up on the tum yum base and I will be back to try the others. Yogurt bar is also a great way to enlighten the meal <3 Love the fresh fruit selection and the flavors of yogurt. Hands down on the mango sago flavor!!

Nice selection. The medium spicy is not spicy enough for someone who likes spicy. Location is great for students but not easy for people who just need food. Price range is a bit high. Make sure you shake out all the water. Overall great. I had to ask them to add more chili for me as it’s not spicy enough. The staff is friendly and to go bag and containers are cute.

Finally we have a place to have the classic and authentic Chinese street food! I was really impressed by the quality of ingredients. The atmosphere was also great, clean and cozy. Highly recommend the spicy soup base and add sesame paste for a richer taste. Fruit bar is recommended for kids to enjoy.

Atmosphere: Fun DipPot is a new hot pot restaurant next to NC State's campus. The interior is clean with a decent number of tables. The bar of ingredients greets you as you walk in, uniquely allowing for the creation of a personal custom hot pot bowl. Service: Fun DipPot is largely self-serve. Customers can either order a preset combo bowl or create their own bowl with ingredients at the bar. Your bowl is then cooked for you in the broth of your choice. There is also a sauce station to create custom sauces for your ingredients. Food: We opted to customize our own bowls and tried their Pork Bone Soup Base and Szechuan Spicy Soup Base. Both options were delicious! We found that the spicy broth was still pretty spicy even at the mild level. Their beef and pork were of decent quality and were cooked well. We were hoping for a wider range of vegetables for our bowls, but our meal was still hearty and filling! Overall: At $15.25/lb for a custom bowl, we thought that Fun DipPot offered a fun way to eat hot pot at a decent price. Both of our bowls ended up being around $20 each, with some leftovers for later. We would highly recommend giving this new spot a try!

How great is it to have something so hearty and delicious on Hillsborough Street! Expect to pay around $16 to $20 depending on the ingredients you choose. The bowl is so big that I can have it for two meals. They have takeout containers ready at the top of the bar. On the other side of the restaurant, there is a self serve sauce bar. You can add cilantro, and create your own dipping sauce. It's minimal compared to an AYCE service restaurant, but it has everything you need for a meal. The whole process took about 10 minutes until my food was ready, and for reference I came with a group of five people during lunch time on weekday.

When you want to get hotpot but you don't have time for a leisurely meal or when you don't want to cook your own food, Fun Dippot is your spot! The place is small & seating somewhat limited but there are some outdoor seats. Lots of choices so you could build your own or you could select one of their available combos. Word of caution, if you build your own, it is by the pound so your bowl could be pretty pricey at $15 per pound. Customer service was extremely helpful in guiding us on what to do and making suggestions. We opted for the available combos which were pretty generous portions. The premium beef combo with Szechuan spicy base is very good. I liked that you could choose the spice level since a lot of times, it's too much. The flavors were on point. The seafood combo was very good also although the seafood chicken base tasted of straight chicken bouillon from a box. This will definitely be one of our go-to spots when we're looking for a bowl of comforting soup.

Imagine a hot pot and a weigh your foyo cup bar had a baby. That's fun Dippot. You can get a premade combo ramen or you can customize and make your own and get charged by the weight of your ingredients. It can be a bit confusing about how it all works the first time you go, like a learning curve. I accidentally got a combo and added stuff on top of it not knowing it already was coming with Veggies. But you live you learn. Staff are okay and get the job done. But being walking distance from campus is a plus. The brother and overall meal is good if you're craving it but you definitely can tell it's a hot pot for college kids. Ambiance is nice and I do love there little panda mascots that they sell there as well.

I just finished eating here and had to write a review and give it 5 stars. If I could give it 7, I would. What a neat concept to hotpot. You pick your own ingredients (fresh, too!) and they weigh it at the end. You get to customize your own bowl or do a prefix combo for $16.99 What I did this time: I customized my own bowl - meat, veggies, mushrooms, taro, king mushrooms, tofu, tofu skin!, fish/shrimp/meatballs etc. Did the Pork Bone broth. Delicious. Oh, and I got the glass noodles (no extra charge for those) I paid $17.39 for it all. What I will do next time: I'll probably still customize my own, do all the same, but do less meat, and way more veggies. I love that they have tong hua which is so bitter/sweet. I want to try the tomato broth next time! Go support them! Good luck w/ parking. Go during lunch!

Going for hotpot is probably my family's favorite dining experience, but it can get pretty pricey when everyone wants different ingredients and multiple broth flavors. Fun Dippot is the budget friendly solution to those first world problems. Each person grabs a bowl, fill it with as little or as many ingredients as they want before picking their broth of choice. You pay by weight, they cook it up for you and voila! The broths were so flavorful and there was a decent variety of ingredients to choose from. The price you pay to get pretty much exactly what you want can't really be beat. The place is small and (for us), the location isn't convenient. So, if they could open a bigger store in Durham..that'd be great!

Fun Dippot is the newest restaurant on Hillsborough St! Starting today, they are doing their soft opening for the next 2 weeks. Fun Dippot has very interesting concepts! 1 It's not AYCE or a la carte. They charge by the weight! You get a bowl and put everything you want. They weigh and tell you how much it is! I believe it's around $15 per pound + noodles are extra! 2 They cook everything FOR you! After you give them your bowl to weigh, you pick your broth, and the chef cooks it and puts everything into a bowl. 3 They have house made yogurt! I know you're thinking ummm why yogurt at a hot pot place but you have to try it!! I got the seaweed flavor and it was SO FRICKIN good. Yogurt is also charged by the weight! I'd recommend you to get one big bowl to share between 2 people + get the yogurt for dessert! You can also get their cute little to go bowl if you have leftovers! p.s. There's a cute little message at the bottom of the bowl so make sure to finish it to see what it says!

Fun Dippiot was delicious! I believe I got the spicy thai broth in my ramen - it wasn't my favorite but I'm sure other people might like it! It was the perfect amount of spice for me, though. The staff was very helpful in explaining the process of making your own bowl. Overall, the service was great! Additionally, the vibe of the restaurant was super casual and informal. It was clean and there was plenty of seating with a big table for a large group which is where we sat. I would come back and try the pork bone broth, which is what some of my friends got and they liked it a lot!

Where has this place been all my life!! Highly recommend. Hot pot is tough bc you don't know what you like but this place makes it easy! Pick what you like and cook it up. Try one new thing or get a lot of a favorite. Priced by weight and not too expensive at all. My 5 year old loved it because she could pick what she likes - kid friendly!

This new hot pot place is soft-opening in Raleigh next to Moge Tee. I went in and gave it a try today and the quality of the food beat my expectations!! I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THIS RESTAURANT if you haven't try "your choice of hotpot"! You can try their combo menu item (will become available later) or order your choices of selection from the counter. I haven't see anything similar open in Raleigh, this place is definitely worth to try! I hope they will keep going because it is very convenient with the boba tee just next door. HIGHLY recommend their "hot and sour" and tomato soup base!

Well priced and great flavor, I had the pork bone broth and it was delicious. The staff was very friendly and the food was ready quite fast. The inside is very cute and has plenty of seating & a fun environment.

Yogurt and raw fish on an exposed, help yourself bar. This looked like it would be a fun experience, but turns out there is yogurt and raw fish on an exposed, help yourself bar. We took deep breaths, swallowed and ordered - various noodle dishes, with broth and whatever stuff we put in the bowl. Some of us didn't eat much, some couldn't get through a churny tummy - I ate all of mine, but didn't feel good about it. I'm happy to see something new, which I typically value, but not this time. We won't go back.

Their are a lot of options that make it really easy to find something you'll like. The different broth options make it fun to come back and try a new combination each time.

Fantastic experience! This is a cozy and warm small restaurant that is just a short walk away from the North Campus of NCSU. The entire staff was very accommodating, so friendly and helpful. My daughter and I did Spicy soup base and the Tom yum broth was delicious. The Yogurt Fruit bar offers a wide variety of fruit, Toppings and very fresh. Also, I like the disposable tableware, good quality and Hygienic. Highly recommended!!
