"Since 2009, the Grupo Puntacana Foundation and the Peregrine Fund have been working together to save the endangered Ridgway’s hawk, which is native to Hispaniola. The population numbered around 350 in 2000 but is now up to about 550, with 19 breeding pairs nesting in the Punta Cana area. If you want to catch a glimpse of these magnificent birds, sign up for one of Grupo Puntacana’s bird-watching tours, which take place on Thursdays and Fridays from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Indigenous Eyes Ecological Park and Reserve. Guided by a conservation expert, you’ll walk along the Hawk Trail and climb a four-story tower, from which you’ll be able to see the wooden nesting boxes where baby hawks, rescued from their nests between March and July, spend up to ten days before taking their first flight. Typically, only 70 percent survive to adulthood."

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Lagoons were beautiful and crystal clear water. We learned a lot about Eagles, bees ( samples of fresh honey), turtles , Iguanas. We learned a lot about their efforts to save and restore the natural ecosystem in Punta Cana. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and kind.

Adorable place to visit! Organic vegetables and herbs that you can collect yourself, and then pay for the collected at the checkout. Cute animals that you can touch and cuddle

Go. Go now. Don't even question it. $50/person, if you are not a guest of one of their hotels. We took a taxi there - super easy. And did not do a tour - you can enter and wander around at your own pace. It was quiet earlier, then got pretty busy around 12. But there was so much space, the trails were amazing, the swimming and the lagoons are BREATHTAKING. If you love nature, swimming, Instagram no-filter worthy photos, and don't want to do one of the expensive/busy tours in Punta Cana - this place is for you.

A tourism and development conglomerate that has a keen eye on long term solutions to protect our earth and humanity, and proactively develops and executes sustainable programs is a rarely seen. Certainly worthy of study and duplication internationally. Also pick up some of their award winning honey and a couple of the coolest beach purses made out of recycled plastic bags. Take the time to visit, you’ll be inspired!

This is in reference to Grupo Punta Cana and Resorts administration. The GPC Resorts & Club has nice properties and is conveniently located nearby great beaches and within minutes to an international airport (PUJ). The administration however is the type no one wants to deal with, the service to their home owner is simply terrible. Since and during hurricane Fiona I have been ignored on my requests about arbitrary billing on my electric bill. I bought an apartment in late April and the apartment has been close and not in use until September 1 to the 10th on a short vacation my wife and another couple decided to take. Most of the times we all were out and about, and went into the apartment at nite to watch some TV and and then sleep. Our staying was only for 10 days, I repeat, then, we close the place and headed back to to the USA. Sunmare Residences went in to service the apartment after we left a day or so later. Then I got my September bill with the usage of a whapping 570 kwh, the heavy usage shows, according to the client's services graph via their application after September 15. There was no one at the apartment on the 15th of September and after. I even show heavy usage during the time there was no electricity ( the was during and after the hurricane). I have been trying to no avail to talk to management, but I am not getting any response from Grupo Punta Cana. I have emailed the administration and the same, no response. They don't want to deal with me, and I assume others whom have the same problem. I paid the bill today anyway as in order to fight this bill, I had to the a flight to Punta Cana and in person raise my issues. This is a terrible company to deal with, whomever is thinking or planning to buy a place from here, beware. I wish I can find a way to copy and paste into my review to show my statement.
