Funicular Baku

Baku Funicular is a modern, clean, and affordable funicular that runs quite frequently. It’s an easy way to reach Highland Park. There is also a staircase nearby if you prefer to walk up or down. The funicular is modern and accessible, making it suitable for people with limited mobility. The ride itself is short — about 5–7 minutes — and while there are no significant views from inside, it’s still a pleasant and practical experience. We would definitely recommend taking it at least once, especially if you plan to visit Highland Park in a comfortable way.

It is just opposite to the baku boulevard. You can use to funicular ride to skip the stairs to the highland park and MARTYN’s lane. The flame towers are also walking distance this the end point of the funicular . You have enjoy good views of baku city and sea from highland park.

Be aware that it can feel quite crowded and heavy with people, especially during peak hours, so plan accordingly. There is usually a long queue, but honestly, the ride itself makes it worth the wait. The funicular takes you straight up to Highland Park, which is absolutely amazing. The views are beautiful both during the day and at night. A smart plan is to go about 30 minutes before sunset, spend some time walking around Highland Park, enjoying the daylight views, and then stay until night to see the city lights — that way you get the best of both worlds. The ticket price is just 1 manat per person for a single trip, which is honestly one of the best value experiences in Baku. Cheap, scenic, and memorable. Highly recommended if you want great views without much effort.

Good experience , 1 Manat for 1 way. Do remember that they have break time in between. Because when I wanted to go back down, they just started their 1hr lunch break.

Really affordable way to climb up the steep hills towards the highland park for the famous panoramic view. Tickets were purchased at the door and costs 1 manat for one-way journey. There's no strict schedule that I can tell, just rock up and wait for the next ride so if you're on a tight schedule you may be waiting awhile before the tram starts moving. You get some decent views from within the cabin but best part about this is not having to do the steep climb up the hill.

It was a nice experience on the funicular. , with operating hours from 10 am to 8 pm. It takes about 15 minutes to board the train. Tickets are sold once you enter, not before. The ride itself lasts 6 minutes, and each wagon can fit 30 people. It was a pleasant experience, and paying by card is possible.

It's meh. It's $1 to go up. But the wait times very. Could be 10 minutes, could be 45. Plenty of taxis if you are short on time. But the views at the top are great
