Great location and connection with the city through public transportation. Clean rooms and friendly atmosphere. Staff is always ready to help with any and every kind of problem. Overall value for price is excellent!

Waiting in the common area even though our bed was ready. Most of the hostels allow early check in if the beds are already ready. There is only one common toilet outside. The hallway smells a lot due to the common kitchen nearby. Good for one or two days stay.

not too far from main train station, about 15mjn tram ride. the place itself is what u expect at this price, not too bad. the staff is very helpful, and open till 11pm i think, which is very helpful for if u are arriving late. i did a 1 night trip to neighbouring countries and they were helpful to keep the luggage until we came back. i recommend this place

It might be suitable for students, but I wouldn’t recommend it for families. The rooms were stuffy and not very clean, and loud music from other rooms kept playing late into the night. The children couldn’t sleep because of the noise. It was such a bad experience, yet the price was quite high.

This is a volunteer run hostel with chill vibes. It’s not going to be the cleanest in the world. It’s got to really nice people running it though!

Had 2 beds in a six bed dorm room with an en suite. Each bed has a night light but no curtains. There is a shared power strip for each bunk. They do not provide towels. The en suite bathroom was mostly clean, as was the dorm room. €5 breakfast is not worth it. No hand soap in the bathroom. It's a noisy hostel but the quiet hours were respected. The location is decent with a bakery and a grocery store in the parking lot. The old town and attractions is a straight shot, 30 min walk. The hostel is attached to a CBD shop where you can hotbox tobacco and CBD with teenagers, I guess. We went to use the kitchen in the morning around 9 and it was filthy, disgusting from dinner the night before. Dirty dishes, tables, and counter tops. Food sitting out, full trash can, sticky floor. No kettle for tea or coffee. It was really bad, even for a hostel. Over the course of the night I woke up several times to a woman in my room smoking cigarettes. No one was at the front desk so I let the staff know in the morning. The worker caught the lady smoking in the room and, I assume, nothing was done about it. The lady was permitted to stay in the dorm and continued to smoke cigarettes. She let me know it was only a €20 fine, which at that price point, is not a fine but instead just an additional fee that allows you to smoke in your room. I have worked in hospitality/hotels/hostels for 15 years... If someone smokes in a nonsmoking room, you fine then and kick them out. Especially if it's a shared dorm. In Croatia, the Law on Limiting the Use of Tobacco and Related Products, Article 25, "prohibits the smoking of tobacco and related products, herbal products and the use of electronic cigarettes with or without nicotine filling and water pipes in all enclosed public spaces" Over all, terrible management and awful enforcement of rules and laws. I do not recommend this hostel. I will also be posting a review on Hostelworld.com and contacting Hostel World about the smoking policy of this hostel. The beds and pillows were rather comfortable.
