15 Best Breakfasts in Sydney | Condé Nast Traveler

"This chic Scandinavian boutique and cafe sells Swedish-inspired clothes, shoes, and homeware (like wooden clogs). Head to the back courtyard and discover Köket (Swedish for 'kitchen'), where exposed brick, simple white walls, concrete floors, and a timber counter bar give the place a minimalist, pared-down feel. Scandinavian-inspired treats include warm cinnamon and cardamom buns, semlor (cream buns), and pretzels with plum jam. You should also try one of the signature open sandwiches, like smoked salmon on Black Russian rye bread with crème fraîche, zucchini, and lemon." - Sophie Davies

A cute little cafe attached to a furniture/ homeware store. I had the cinnamon & cardamom bun which was beautifully folded. Served warm, the spices evoked Christmas cheer and I loved the contrasting texture between the crisp edges and soft dough. Coffee wasn't my favourite but went well enough with the bun. Wouldn't mind returning to try the brunch menu.

Swedish bakery in Paddington bakes fresh daily. Lots of classic Swedish bakes including knotted cardamom buns. The seeded pretzel is incredible. Very Scandic, I love this place. Would like to see more options from the kitchen like open faced sandwiches.

Very nice find. Coffee was super smooth. Salmon cucumber breakfast was delicious and I got over there being no butter 😅. The vegemite provolone pastry to die for!

Really enjoyed our visit to and lunch at koket. The food was delicious (a Swedish dish of smoked salmon, cucumbers, dill in a mayonnaise), as was the coffee. Staff were friendly and chatty. If you’d like the Swedish buns and scrolls best get there early in the morning.

It might be challenging to find if their front retail store entrance is not opened, and all you have to do is go in by the side street entrance. It’s quaint, cosy, and straight forward. Simple bakes that are delicious and amazing coffee. Sitting outdoors when the sun is out is perfect-o.

The greens quiche was perfection. Can’t stress that enough. The cardamom roll was so lovely and subtly sweet. The salad was great but I prefer the croutons to be less chewy. The courtyard was peaceful and sunny. The service was kind. New favorite Sydney cafe!

This place is a hidden gem in many aspects - amazing atmosphere, delicious food with organic ingredients! I truly enjoyed my lunch and coffee. Thank you guys! A Must go place if you are around Paddington - but especially outside of it! ;)

Such a cute Swedish café :) It’s sooo cosy and stylish and their little backyard also is very cute. I ordered the Skagen inspired Salmon which was very delicious and my friend ordered a Selma. She’s Swedish and said that it’s super yummy and very authentic. Their clothing and interior section/shop is also very cool and they’ve got a great selection of Swedish interior bits and pieces.
