The Resort is on a beautiful island. There is a small beach accessible by the resort. During high tide, the sand is gorgeous, but in low tide, there are lots of rocks.
The food was surprisingly good. We had seen a variety of different reviews, so we were sceptical. Meals were always on time, and quite fresh. My personal favourites were the beef stew, the fish curry and the fried chicken. Dessert is typically served after dinner, and all were very delicious. My partner was especially fond of the chocolate cake.
Drinkable water is served at all meals, and available at the bar. They also sell soft drinks and bottled water if you prefer. I noticed that alcohol in Fiji wasn't particularly cheap, but all the drinks available for purchase were a reasonable price.
There is not heaps to do at the resort itself, although we did not try to do anything. There are some stand up paddle boards and/or kayaks available, they have some snorkels that you can borrow, and there is a hike to the mountain which is very beautiful. We took two different day trips, one to Cloud 9 ($79FJD per person), and another to Musket Cove ($69FJD per person). The drop off and pick ups are Fiji time, but that shouldn't bother you, you are always back in time for dinner.
There are some really lovely cats who live somewhere near the resort and visit, hopeful of scoring some free food. They were adorable and did not cause any trouble, but provided some lovely company.
We opted for a Bure with no air-conditioning, but the louvre windows and the fans made the room very comfortable at night. I even slept with a blanket on one night.
The bathroom would leave some people wanting more. Its a small room and small bathroom, but everything worked well. The shower was hot, and surprisingly comfortable, but at first glance isn't particularly appealing.
We did not used the Wifi, but wifi was available in the Bar/pool/dining area. Vodaphone reception was quite good on the island so we didn't bother using the wifi.
My recommendation for people visiting the resort, is don't expect a 5 start resort for hostel prices. I think calling it a resort is quite generous, but if you think of it as a nice hostel, you will be pleased. My other recommendations would be to bring some lightweight PJs, to protect yourself from mosquitoes at night, but sleeping with the fan on also works.
