Good decoration! Service should be improve I ordered a steak and didn’t get it also one appetizer. They didn’t pay attention to clear empty plates. We ordered a bottle of wine and water we have to ask twice! Food were delicious and variety. Loved clam soup with sai aua( sausages) sooo good! Sticky rice wasn’t hot! Larb was soso! Loved the chili snacks and grilled chicken with avocado! You shouldn’t miss the raspberry sago dessert

Fantastic restaurant! Every dish was delicious and the free unlimited dipping sauces were a great addition to all the dishes. The pork belly was especially delicious with the fresh ginger. Service was also great, our waiter was very kind and explained each dish to us and how to eat it. Will be coming back :)

Funky Lam Kitchen absolutely delivers on every level. The elevated Lao cuisine is packed with bold, exciting flavors. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted and incredibly tasty. The drinks were just as impressive with perfect execution. The atmosphere is so nice and full of energy. It has that rare wow factor that makes the whole experience feel special from the moment you walk in. And to top it all off, the service is outstanding: friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable without ever being overbearing. This place nails the balance between fun, flavor, and finesse. Highly recommended!

Best Laab in Bangkok! Funky Lam Kitchen is absolutely amazing! The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed dining experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The authentic Laos food is outstanding vibrant flavors, beautifully presented, and truly a taste of Laos right in Bangkok. Every dish we tried was fresh and flavorful, accompanied by a great variety of dipping sauces and fresh vegetables. Highly recommend this gem for anyone craving authentic and delicious Laos cuisine!

Service was amazing; warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. The atmosphere was vibrant and full of energy but never too loud, even with a full house. Loved the complimentary set of dipping sauces and sticky rice they served at the start, it’s such a nice touch. Highly recommend trying the Lap Sen, it was so flavorful and unique! The Laab Ped was also one of the best we’ve ever had; perfectly balanced and delicious. Definitely would come back again!

This Place can’t be missed! Lao Food and amazing flavours in each bite! So happy Funky Lam is back. Our favourite from some years ago opened its doors again and it continued the same delicious way as it was. Everything on the menu is amazing. Start with the Seaweed snack and don’t miss to try the northern Sausage, Lao's iconic Sai Oua. And for sure don’t skip the dessert. The ice cream was so good, especially the banana ice cream was the biggest surprise. So Delicious!!! The service was great and at a fun location that offers a lot to explore. We will be back! Thank you!

FOOD & DRINKS Really great take on Laotian food, but nothing that I will remember. We did enjoyed every single dish and although they are “very generous” with the serving, it was way too much if you are ordering the set. I am not a fan of food wastage, so the restaurant may have to re-look into the quantity of the overall set menu. Luckily we were able to take some home away. We didn’t get to try their cocktails, but the quality of red and white wine was good. ATMOSPHERE & SERVICE Good vibe - funky decor, yet stylish! Although typical of modern restaurants (usually can be snobbish), staff still need to feel guests are at home. A little bit of interaction, chat or simply making the guests feel they are in the right place is what’s needed. Needs more confidence, and the human feel. Too commercial and too focused on the operation. Soul, soul, soul…is important. This adds to the overall look and feel of the place. Water is also important in any meal service, not just on pouring the more expensive wine. I have to call the staff every time, to top up our water. Water is not free anyway (a carafe is THB80++). They also don’t pay attention to clearing empty plates on the table and ensuring everyone is having a lovely experience. SUMMARY I’d come back here for the food. I am sure the service will improve since it’s a fairly new restaurant venue. I like restaurants with a “soul”, a place where you don’t just experience food, but hospitality as well.
