Funky Mamaliga Hostel

This hostel is great. It has a rooftop patio where you can relax and chat. It's also a very clean hostel and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen is very useful and the staff are very friendly and helpful! I would highly recommend Funky Mamaliga for travelers of any type!

Not too shabby, as they say in Britain. Dirt cheap. The place is quite small but it's clean. The staff are friendly but they're also pretty noisy as they live-in. One night we were all trying to sleep in a dorm when the staff were talking in really loud voices, as if they were the noisy tourists. Fortunately they shut up when someone went out to complain. Beds are good and so are the showers and other facilities

This used to be my favorite hostel in Moldova but this summer they began gushing parties on the weekends. . I don't think the hostel is the right place for a bar atmosphere as I'd rather have fun outside the hostel and return there you sheep. Unfortunately I'm looking for a new place to stay during my visits to Chișinău.

There is nothing like night time in this hostel - music is playing very loud (from reception!) even in the middle of the night. People working there don't pay attention for parties organized in hostel. It is almost impossible to get proper sleep there. Not recommended.

One of the best hostels in which I stayed, strictly recommend it for everyone. I've been to almost all hostels in Moldova , and this is one of the best. Very good facilities, cheerful atmosphere, good location and very nice staff!

Funky Mamaliga is definitely THE hostel in Chisinau to stay at. All of the staff are super cool and very helpful. I'm not sure that I'll ever return to Moldova again (I probably never will), but if I do, Funky Mamaliga is my first, last, #1, and only pick for where to stay while I'm there.

Everything is OK until the night. Around 00.00 the staff came in to the room to show someone the the bed. And that is OK. But the staff was shouting in a dark room with lots off sleaping people. And the staff didn't close the door! Keep away!!!!!!!! Isn't it common cutesy to close the door?

Love this place! The facilities, the atmosphere, the staff, the newly remodeled outdoors hang out area and roof top patio - definitely the place to be! Highly recommend this to professional travellers
