FUNQ Natural Wine Bar

A great wine bar with attentive, knowledgeable staff/ owners who go the extra mile to look after you. We chanced upon it & we so glad we did. It became our regular ‘one last drink before bed’ stop. We didn’t eat so I can’t comment on the food. This is a great, fun bar where you can just relax with great music in the background and a chilled vibe. Great you people running it but doing it with the right attitude of serving quality with a welcoming attitude. If you’re in the neighbourhood, go, relax and enjoy.

FUNQ Natural Wine Bar oozes cool without trying too hard. Tucked away with a warm, welcoming glow (both literal and metaphorical), it’s the kind of bar you stumble into and then never want to leave. The interior is laid-back but thoughtfully styled—comfy, artsy, and full of charm and personality. The wine selection? Next level. Every bottle feels hand-picked with intention, and that’s because it is. You’ll find a mix of local and international natural wines —sourced from small, independent producers rather than mass-market shelves. The team clearly knows their stuff and is super open to sharing recommendations based on your taste, without an ounce of pretension. We visited FUNQ twice in our trip to Porto and most nights, there’s a rotating pop-up kitchen offering beautifully crafted, flavour-packed fresh food. Which was fantastic because we got to try something new whilst knowing we would get good vibes/wines. Add to that the occasional live DJ or curated playlist, and you’ve got one of the most effortlessly cool spots around. Whether you’re a wine nerd or just wine-curious, this bar has a heartbeat. There was two different types of beers and a cider of wines not your jam - but then not sure why you’ve come to Porto. FUNQ was honest, vibrant, and clearly built from a love of community, good taste, and great times. Can’t wait to revisit

we had the most wonderful time. Walking in a few minutes after opening, we were met by a super nice and friendly employee. They had a great selection and gave us a great rundown of the options we were thinking about, their passion really shined through. Thank you for the amazing time, and for treating us like your friends. Would recommend to anyone who asks.

Funq is a mellow wine bar with a local feel and no fuss. Natural wines are the focus—crisp whites, funky reds—all well picked. Staff are friendly, vibe is relaxed, and prices are fair. Great for a quiet glass.

One of my absolute favorite spots in the city. I keep coming back and for a good reason. Cozy atmosphere, great wine selection, and hands down one of the best bartenders around. Always welcoming, always knows what to pour, and makes you feel right at home. If you’re into good vibes and great wine, this is the place.

Incredible wine bar with such a fun atmosphere we found while traveling. Focused on natural wine and a terrific spot for English speakers but has something for everyone. Within 10 mins, we met most of the staff including the owner. Feels like the most upscale, chic neighborhood bar complete with music & food pop ups

A welcoming, well-located bar that offers wine by the glass or by the bottle. Knowledgeable staff who are familiar with each bottle they have. Wines are curated based on sustainable producers (a nice touch), but extend beyond the typical Portuguese-only selections that most Porto places offer. Austria, Slovenia, France, Italy, and Germany were represented, but rotate regularly. Currently, seasonal mulled wine (infused with spices) is available and tastes great. If you like amaros, they have a couple bitter beverages on offer by the shot. Best of all, the place is pet friendly!
