Loved this old fashioned amusement park, got a little bit of everything for everyone. Wish I came on warmer day to also enjoy Waterpark, but had very little wait times on Father's day weekend, so got to ride multiple times. Enjoy this gem while it only lasts during the warm weather stands.

Google
I love Funtown! Rides are fun and most employees are friendly and efficient. Only negative is the prices for day admission ($50-$60) and some parts of the park need music. Overall Funtown is such a hidden gem and is very enjoyable!

Google
A charming park. The new dark ride had all the effects working. The roller coasters were in good condition. Rides well maintained. Pretty landscaping around the park. Lots love all the statues. The park was well staffed.

Google
DO NOT COME ALONE!! You cannot do multiple rides here as a single rider. All the rides here are old, and it's a bunch of generic stuff. It's basically a bunch of carnival rides. I can't believe this park is rated so highly on here. There are so many regional parks that are much better than this that cost less too. This park survives because nothing else is around. What a waste of my time and money.

Denise S.

Google
Great way to end vacation! Most rides are for 48"+ as a single rider. Younger/shorter must be accompanied. Lots of rides for the littles too. Splash park has lots to do for all ages. Bring lunch! Food is available and not too pricey. We opted for sweet treats.

Google
I went here all the time as a kid and over the past two years, have visited the park via the All Grown Up event. This park is simply timeless. It's respectfully mid-sized with a great selection of above average to fantastic rides. All with minimal wait time. My favorite has always been the Thunder Falls log flume. Flumes are always personal favorites but this might be my favorite at any park I've ever been to. The journey around the waterways is fun, and the giant fall at the end is a blast! (My least favorite is the Wild Mouse. Good god will that hurt your midsection with how much you're jostled in that cart.) It even has some pretty fun slow rides. Taking the antique cars is a tradition! Their two huge rides, Excalibur and Dragon Decent, provide an amazing view of the park and nearby forest. Seriously, pay attention to your surroundings when you go on these, it's truly breathtaking. One thing I would love to see is for the All Grown Up event (or even a separate event entirely) to allow access to Splashtown. Late-night water park fun would be a truly unique experience.

Google
Great local amusement park. Lots of benches & shade on the ride side. The water park side has bunches of seating, but it was still hard to find an unoccupied spot after lunchtime. Shade is hard to come by on the water park side. There are changing rooms, but no fresh water rinse off spots on the water park side. I do love that they let you bring in coolers with drinks & food, just no glass & no alcohol. I am mildly physically disabled and access was pretty good, easy to find, etc. You can rent strollers, wheelchairs, and electric scooters. Lockers of different sizes are available. The staff was so kind, and many of them looked like they actually enjoyed their jobs. There are roving security/ medic teams, which made me feel a bit safer. Parking is plentiful, but you may have a long walk on busy days. RVs & buses have a different lot to park in.

Google
I went to this park as a child, brought my children and now grandchildren. I do enjoy Funtown/Splashtown. My reason for only 3 stars is my recent experience. I brought my family a month and rented a cabana. The park closed due to weather and they graciously gave us all tickets for another day. I didn’t get a refund on the cabana. That was okay because I had read ahead of time that I would not receive a refund. I went right online and rented a cabana for this upcoming weekend. I requested a refund two days ago (because of weather) for the cabana via email and no response. I called today and left a detailed message. Their policy says if you cancel 24 hours prior to arrival you’ll receive a refund. Let’s see if they follow through?!

Yelp
Nice little theme park for the area! We definitely made a good day out of everything!

Yelp
Basketball game is amazing! You can win Cooper Flagg, LeBron James, and so many more jerseys. I got 15 on my second attempt which is one away from the season high. If you get 21 you can win $500! Make sure to stop by Mainely Fries, the cheese fries are delicious. Skeeball is quite affordable at 25¢ per game but a lot are out of order. Rides are fun, but Excalibur at night is the highlight of the day especially if you can catch it during the fireworks.

Yelp
Funtown/splashtown is really an institution at this point. Lots of rides for little kids, decent amount of rides for older kids. Splash town is a great place to cool off on this hot summer days. If they had a wave pool or lazy river it would be great for a low involvement activity. They have two large group slides (party of 4). They have two drop floor slides that will have your heart in your throat. They gave 4 other racing slides in which you lay on your stomach. (Note to anyone, those last two bumps at the end might hit you below the belt) The park allows you to come in and out which is great if you bring your own lunch. And parking is free. The only thing those ticket prices do seem to keep rising. I'm sure finding and retaining staff is not cheap in this day. But I do hope the lights stay on at funtown/spashtown

Yelp
Very very expensive and they won't let kids get on rides even if there tall enough but they say you need a wristband of a diffrent color and no one told us this at the gate, deep down I've always knew that place was a hole, but today really cemented this truth into my head, we come here each year for a birthday present but I think I'd rather go to palace playland at this point at least there's real food and options around.
google avatar

Alex G.

Yelp
The Funtown part needs a bit of an overhaul, but it's fun for kids and teens for sure. The food is absolutely horrible, so make sure you eat before. We had french fries, and they obviously hadn't changed the oil all day, and the fries were oily and soggy. Yuck. The rides are a bit Janky, not smooth, so you come off feeling like you got whiplash. Decent old school ride park that needs some upgrades.

Lyla G.

Yelp
This life guard named Colin or something let these girls cut the line and tried to give them a floatie when they didn't wait their turn. And all he does is stand there and give ppl floaties and enforces cutting and that's not a good representation of a nice person. he should get off lifeguard duty and work in one of the food shacks.

Yelp
What can you say about an amusement style park in the wonderful state of Maine. Don't expect too much. One of the big drawbacks is the simple fact that they have not updated anything in this park in years and years so if you go once, then you have seen everything it has to offer. I feel as if it is catered to smaller children for the most part and outside of a couple of ice cream stands or some arcade games, I think I would rather meander down to Old Orchard and get the same effect right on the ocean. So, if you haven't been, it is a good time to go and check it out but if you have been and are looking for something exciting and new, this is not the place for you. Lastly you can definitely tell that they are short staffed and really looking to bring on some help and it is surprising that teens aren't flocking there for a fun summer gig. They have even adjusted some of the hours and times because of the lack of help. Hopefully they will upgrade some and keep it fresh in the future.

Yelp
Looking for an awesome family park that has something for everyone well this is totally it! This park was awesome we came here after 3 so that we could get in at a cheaper rate as we didn't intend on spending a ton of time here it as it was all about Excalibur my 325th coaster credit and I must say that it definitely ranks up towards the top of the wooden coasters I've ridden all over the country an awesome ride from start to finish with just the right amount of airtime to fun elements you really can't go wrong! Another thing about this park is that it was very clean I work at a park so this is one of the things I always look for and for me to say it's well taken care of is definitely a compliment to the associates here as I don't always say that! The go karts rocked as well as they had a fun layout and it was just super awesome to race as it's been a long time since I've done this! The water park was a good size and had some cool slides but like I said before it was all about Excalibur and just the whole awesome vibe here! Overall super cool park I hope to see them get another coaster in the future as that would just make an already cool park that much better!

Yelp
The park was really good and fun but they closed the park early because of weather. But we got free tickets because it closed early... YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Yelp
It's great and all, but seriously, we NEED more roller coasters. One doesn't cut it. The Excalibur was good though.

Yelp
Alright. Updating my old review now that it's 2024 and we have become season pass holders for the last 8 years or so. Our kids LOVE it here. Food is still awful, IMO. Very few items are decent. Most are not. I mean, ice cream and crap is good (pricey, as expected) and their cheese fries hit the spot. But nothing else has been good IMO. Bring your own food in. Seriously. The attractions are all taken care of and well maintained. Splashtown is good as well - well-staffed, I feel like their attractions are monitored well, employees are generally friendly. The park is very clean, I will say that. Very. I love that. You don't realize how much it matters until you go somewhere that is not clean.
google avatar

Jon F.

Yelp
Been here many times, hasn't changed much - still a great time. Kids enjoy it. One thing keeping it from 5 stars is hours open: used to be open until 9-10pm and since last year they close at 6. Used to be: spend 11-5 at Splashtown, then cool off with sun dimming at Funtown until closing at 9. Otherwise a great time by all.

Sarah E.

Yelp
Funtown is the best amusement park in the area I highly recommend, rides are so fun my teenagers love it. Now the bad part, splashtown. While the water slides are fun the lines are always super long. Overall funtown is awesome but aquaboggin is a better watermark than splashtown.
google avatar

Brian F.

Yelp
First time here since I was a boy. My sons, 11 and 8, had a good time at both parks. The lines were manageable and all were running. This was a pleasant surprise. Food is terrible and overpriced, but they do permit you to bring in food and drinks. They need to open earlier than 11am but overall it was a great family outing. The log flume still rules!
google avatar

Caleb M.

Yelp
Honestly when you take into consideration amusement parks/water parks when you think of Maine, there is no other option besides Funtown Splashtown USA. Been here many times, likely started going before I can even remember with my family when growing up. Considering the size and the fact you can get both the amusement park rides and a full water park experience at the same place is a great deal. This is a place you should bring your kids to and give them life long memories. Great place for a family adventure. Start your day going to the rides, including some of my favorites; Log Flume ride, Astrosphere, and the Sea Dragon. Then finish off your day cooling off in the Splashtown section with lots of options for slides to enjoy. The reason for the 4-star review is Funtown/Splashtown just can't compare to some of the bigger names in amusement parks but like I said you have minimal to no other options in Maine. This is the number one option in the area though.

Yelp
I freaking loved Splashtown! Took our families here on a not so great summer day in Maine and we all had the best time! There was so much to do for all ages! There were so many epic water slides to go on; we were screaming for our lives on some but it was super fun! And there was the cutest area for the little ones with mini slides and water activities, enough for everyone to enjoy even! The rides were also a ton of fun from the little carousel to the roller coasters, the swings, and log flume! A ton of options for rides for all ages. And in the park they have games like water guns and popping balloons and an arcade. I wish there was an easier way to get change to play the games, as they have a very antiquated system only allowing one person to handle money, but we still had fun and won prizes nonetheless. They have snacks and food, nothing too spectacular but enough to hold you over - pretzels, hot dogs, ice cream, fries and boardwalk type foods. Staff seemed friendly but not much interaction with them for the most part. Make sure you check out the tattoo booth too which the kids (and us adults!) loved! All in all, a super fun place to spend the day! Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Jordyn B.

Yelp
What a fantastic day we had! Definitely need to return in the future. I was astounded at the amount of security and other safety measures that were in place. It was nice to see. Lines for Splashtown were long but Funtown was reasonable. I would just bring a lunch the next time we decide to go! There are plenty of food shops but lots of places to sit and picnic!

Ethan P.

Yelp
Mid park, not even the best water park on the street. The worst part is the parking. Careful, in august they have grass parking, and we got stuck in the lot for 1 hour because we had to wait for someone to leave. They need parking staff bad. Not cool :(
google avatar

Tubman H.

Yelp
The mortar strikes barreling through my memory reminding me of my life outside of nam, get this shit over with your wife needs you. Your so called "buddies"pillage your civilian clothes at any chance they get. A bulled wizzes by my ear, BAM another guke stupid enough to miss. This is what you get to relive when you go to "fun" town splash town. The bangs of the machines in disrepair bombard my ears forcing me back into the life I swore to forget. And my son? He had to see me suffer, me, in my darkest hours relived at this wretched "amusement" park. I call it hell.
google avatar

Aaron D.

Yelp
Make sure your Maine visit includes a stop in neighboring Funtown U.S.A. For over thirty-five years children of all ages have been thrill by this parks most thrilling rides, The Thunder Falls log flume.

Brady G.

Yelp
It has the best food I love the chicken taste of the food is good but noting it so good
google avatar

Sarah D.

Yelp
I came here past 6pm so it was definitely worth the price ($11) but not sure if it's worth full price as they should have more unique/thrill rides. We barely had to wait in line for any of the rides. The longest we had to wait was ten minutes for the Astrosphere, which was SO worth it! Best ride in the park so I recommend checking that one out. The food is overpriced but expected, as it's an amusement park. Parking is also free. Overall, the park is very clean and well kept and I was very impressed. Even all of the benches and tables where people eat. There was barely any trash or food on tables or the ground which was surprising. I would come back!
google avatar

Stacey M.

Yelp
The kids had a lot of fun. The park is okay. Easy to hit all the rides in a few hours. Only a few "thrill" rides. I enjoyed the water park the best. The price to get in may not be worth the price. I had my 1 year old with me, so I definitely did not get my money's worth, but again the older kids had a great time. The food on the water park side was horrible. $5.50 for over cooked, crunchy fry ends, that were cold with nacho cheese in one small cup. It did look like the food was slightly better on the other side. The fee to use a locker on the water side was also ridiculous. $10 fee PLUS $10 deposit (you do get that bit back). I'm paying a ton to get in here and you want $10 more dollars for me to be able to put my wallet in a locker...anything else people can just have if they really want. No need to lock up my clothes or sun block.
google avatar

Mayafudge S.

Yelp
My family goes to Maine every summer and we always come here with other relatives or friends. We always have a good time. The rides like the wolf mouse and the tilt a whirl are really fun. The employees are helpful and kind. They have a gift shop and snack bars along with bathrooms. My family and I have never gone to the water park side since I don't like bathing in water with strangers that much to be honest. But I'm sure it's just as good. The games you can play such as the dart game are also fun. Even if you lose, you still get a small prize like a small airplane or plastic cat. If you haven't been here before, you need to come with COVID ends. I'm sure is also fun to work here during the summer.
google avatar

Tracy A.

Yelp
I've been taking my kids here for decades - from the time they were little to just a few days ago now that they're in their 20's. This place is no Disneyland (thank goodness), but it's a great place for families to hang out and have fun together. Lines can be longish, but for the most part they move quickly. I've never been there when it's been unbearably crowded - even on a very hot day. We love the water park, and my husband and I spend the morning and afternoon there with the kids (they open at 10 - I wish it were earlier so we could have a longer day before the heat of the sun kicks in), then the kids head off to FunTown for the rides that no longer hold a lot of interest for old farts like us. We've always found the staff very highly trained and friendly (a must for a place like this to have a ton of lifeguards - I always feel safe when I go there). The food is somewhat expensive, but way less that what you'd find in a larger amusement park, and there are healthier options such as barbecue and fresh fruit that are a big change from fair food. More shady spots would be nice, and larger lockers. All in all (especially with the Groupon and Living Social deals available each year), a fun day in Maine!
google avatar

Caroline E.

Yelp
Super great for a family day! My 6 and 9 year olds were in heaven. Awesome water park and rides as well. Friendly employees, clean and not crowded for a hot summer weekday. Can't wait to return.

V V.

Yelp
I struggle with not giving it a 4, its maybe a 3.5. I only did the funtown part. It wasn't that bad. I was thinking it was going to be packed and carny like, but it wasn't. A good number of people, but the lines moved pretty well. It might be geared to more the 10ish in age, but there are a couple of rides older kids would enjoy. Again, pleasantly surprised.
google avatar

Latoya D.

Yelp
Love, LOVE, LoVe! Both kids & adults will enjoy time spent here! We typically spend the entire day here, which means that there is just that much here to keep yourself busy & entertained. Theme park & water park in one. You have the option to purchase access to one or the other but it's just makes more sense to do both. Pricing is average priciness as compared to similar theme parks for entrance. BUT after a certain time in the afternoon pricing is dramatically slashed in half (look it up); this option may work better for you if your concerned about pricing. Fun for all & worth it!
google avatar

Starr B.

Yelp
brought my son with Down Syndrome and Autism and they were so accommodating...Never questioned my pass we're willing to help out with everything...I highly recommend for a fun day!
google avatar

Miksta F.

Yelp
The admission price for my family of five is pretty affordable. We spent most of the day at the water park. I do wish there were more rides. All in all, we had a good time!
google avatar

Nadia M.

Yelp
I come here all the time with my friends and family and it's always super exciting. My all time favorite ride has to be the Astrosphere or the dragons decent and the Excalibur. I have been coming here for years and before my dad went when there was the golf course. I'm also a big fan of the waterpark i enjoy the newer drop rides and the tornado. I've been on all fifty rides and slides there and I would ten out of ten recommend this it is good for young kids because of the kiddie rides and good for older kids because of some of the thrill rides.
google avatar

Cody N.

Yelp
This rating might be too generous. Especially for an over priced amusement park. But it's the only one around within hundreds of miles other than Maine's old orchard beach's amusement park, but I'm not counting that as an amusement park. This place might have been great in the 90s but it needs to update there rides. I would think antique cars, bumper boats/ cars and a small roller coaster shouldn't make up of almost half of the amusement park.

Julianne H.

Yelp
Definitely worth the 11 dollar admission after 6! Not worth it to spend the whole day. Only a few thrill rides. We did practically all the rides in 2 hrs. No lines no waiting!! The only thing I must really say is...the team members are not very friendly. Nor did I see any of them smiling. They weren't very helpful in helping kids buckle/unbuckle if they were having trouble. I must say the only two people that were actually pleasant were the two running the wild mouse ride on 8/2 /19 at 730 PM.
google avatar

Andromeda G.

Yelp
Simply a fun place for ALL ages. The amusement park is fun. We went on July 4th. There was hardly any wait times for the rides. All rides were almost WALK in. The splashtown is another gem in this park. Really a fun place to spend the entire day. Do not miss the Tornado Twist or the Mount Olympus rides. Strongly recommend this place. If possible try visiting on less crowded days like Tuesday's or Wednesday's.

M W.

Yelp
Funtown Splashtown is looking good! So clean and well maintained. It's such a great place for all ages. Been going for years and enjoy seeing how they make small improvements every season. The food is good but ridiculously overpriced. Good thing they allow food and drink to be brought in. They're charging $4 for a bottle of water and $5 for a hot dog. Most of the staff is wonderful with the exception of a few moody, miserable-looking teenagers. Would it kill these kids to say "thanks" or how about a nice fake smile? For whatever reason, the Splashtown staff is much friendlier than the Funtown staff. Regardless....a good time was had by all in our group, 7 of us, ages 10-60. See you next year!

DeeAnne B.

Yelp
Don't waste your time coming at 5pm for $11 because in 2021 they haven't changed their 2019 pricing list and it's posted everywhere that its supposed to be that price but yet they wont honor it! This place also closes at 6pm So they are trying to charge you 25 bucks per person for an hour of their life if they come at 5 o'clock. The workers have to deal with people like us asking the question why is the price shown right on their pricing board and they state that their managers have not taken care of that yet. What a joke of a place.
google avatar

Katie V.

Yelp
This place rules. Here's why: 1) Free parking 2) Clean changing rooms and bathrooms 3) Only mildly exorbitant concessions 4) $5 lockers (compared to $14 at Six Flags) 5) Some very fun rides -- favorite is the Tornado, a group raft ride where you are flung into a giant funnel. Also individual slides Poseidon's Plunge and Triton's Twist are awesome. You get into this enclosed chamber (one friend described it as a glass coffin) and then floor drops out, shooting you straight down at 40 ft. per second. Terrifying but awesome, even considering the wedgie you get upon impact with the water. Only reasons not 5 stars: no lazy river and no tidal wave pool for adults. All the pools are really shallow for kids (3' deep) so you can't really splash around and swim in between rides. Still, I totally recommend it. Didn't check out Funtown because it looked a little sad and outdated, but Splashtown is worth visiting. ALSO, I must give a shout-out to whomever selected the music for the park. It was all my favorite 90s pop jams: Ace of Base, En Vogue, Mariah. Exactly what I wanted to listen as a 31-year-old spending a Tuesday at a water park.

Thi P.

Yelp
It's my first time here so I didnt know about Funtown & splashtown so I told the customer services that I dont wanna a water park but they ended up giving me a slash bracelet so I had not been in the water all day so lately my son wanna go ride but I couldnt go with him cuz my bracelet is slash. they told me to pay more but time to go home. Bad Bad services. I never go there again. I spent $30 for just going into the gate without any ride. I am not recommend for my friends & family either. I will choose to go NH & MA better. Thanks for good lesson.

Declan S.

Yelp
My sister has been working all summer and was really bummed that she missed out on a bunch of stuff, so we decided we were going to go to funtown today. The website said, last night when we decided to go, that it would be open for 11-6 today. When we checked the website again this morning, it said the park was closed. My sister was devastated and I think is was a really disgusting move by the park.
google avatar

Kathy D.

Yelp
Just got back today after they redid the park with the new slides! Amazing! They put you in this bullet shaped thing and drop the floor! The countdown gets your heart racing: 3, 2, 1...then they drop the floor and you come flying out! It's really great. I'm loving the new slides. It's mostly what I stayed on today. I couldn't decide what I loved move the Plunge or the Twist! Both were really scary! The red and white slides are really fun, too. You race against 4 people and they are fast. I definitely still do wish they had a lazy river or a deeper pool to swim in. Mostly a wave pool would be amazing. But, this place definitely deserves 5 stars. It's so clean! You could literally eat off the ground. Love this place!! Free Parking, Cheap lockers, lots of friendly staff! It's an all around wonderful place! I even had a great groupon!! We had a blast at Funtown, too!

Yelp
It was *just right* for my 9-year-old son and me. We went around 3 p.m. on a Friday afternoon, so there were no lines to wait in for any of the rides, except for the go-cart race. Every single person who worked there, mostly teens and young adults, were incredibly friendly and helpful, and it seemed they came from a wide variety of ethnic / cultural backgrounds, which was pretty cool. Lots of ice cream options for a hot summer day, and I enjoyed my first caramel apple in years. Worth mentioning that the go-cart racetrack has signs posted everywhere that say "no bumping". Although I totally did not intentionally bump anyone, I was, in fact, racing to win. That meant coming up behind folks and moving into the inside corners, and if they didn't see me creeping into those inside corners, they would end up bumping my car. I didn't think it was a biggie since all the cars have big, generously padded bumpers. But when I exited the ride, one of the kids working there laughingly gave me a hard time about bumping others on the ride, which I laughed off but was puzzled by, because I really didn't do that.... It must also be said that I totally won, lapping others over and over. And it felt good and right.

Kay E.

Yelp
We bought sweatshirts at the gift shop, and despite being washed according to the instructions on the tag, they shrunk a full size in the wash. We had the receipt and asked to exchange them, since they had shrunk so much and so unexpectedly. The gift shop refused the exchange. I asked to talk to a manager, but they refused to escalate the call. We are so disappointed by this poor customer service. We love Funtown and expected more from them.

Yelp
Visited today while vacationing in Maine. When we arrived around 11 am most attractions were open but within a half hour they began shutting down rides do to weather. After spending 60 dollars on lunch (which I must say was of better quality than most theme park restaurants) the rides were still mostly closed. Two hours later after only riding on two or three rides in total they closed the park due too weather. Rather than offering a full refund or pass for another day I was given a half day pass. In the future I will be going to other theme parks in the region such as Santa's Village or Watercountry. The staff was helpful and abundant. The park amenities were adequate for a day visit. I can not comment on the water park section as I only walked into it to find out it was closed.

Yelp
Good, small park near Old Orchard Beach. Don't let the roadside appearance fool you. Give it a chance; this is a pretty cool park. Free parking leads off the day. Bracelet-style admission to one or both parks, and pricing of these is typical for amusement parks. You can get a discount for various reasons including a post-3:00pm admission. Wide variety of typical park food with a few neat surprises; pricing is normal for parks i.e. expensive, but not outrageously so; if you really are bothered by this, you can bring some things in and picnic. Ride selection feels a little light, but a good mix and works out well in general. Nothing too extreme. Old wood coaster near the back of park nicely jolting. Staff is generally friendly to engaging, with a few folks not so much. Park initially feels really small, but it's a good small, and they have done a nice job with space management and area flow. Could use a bit more signage in some places as the layout can be confusing. Park is very clean, landscaping is nice. Some portions are very concrete-y though - like many such parks, I would NOT want to be here on a very warm day. BIG Water park, lots of different activities and slides, several new for 2011. Water slide rides were pretty noticeable, though. We went on a warm Monday and ride lines were much better, nearly nonexistent by comparison. You'll have trouble getting on all the big water slides unless you start really early or the weather's bad and keeping the crowds down. BONUS: A GIFT SHOP WITH STUFF YOU'LL ACTUALLY WANT TO BUY AND REASONABLE PRICES! UNHEARD OF AT OTHER PARKS! WOW! (Ahem. Sorry, got carried away for a moment there...) Overall: Absolutely worth the trip if you're already at that part of New England seacoast or within a reasonable drive. A *bit* light as a destination drive - but you can always skip over to the beach as well. Might work best as a "post-beach" trip.

Yelp
My family and I have been coming to splashtown/funtown for 20+ years every July. We love that they have a discounted rate after 3pm ($24 - 48' or taller -- $18 - 38' to 48' -- free below 38') and can go to Splashtown from 3-6 and funtown until close. This week we were so excited to come and enjoy all the fun they have to offer just like an other year. We are a family of (23) extended included, although, we all arrive together. When we arrived the weather wasn't promising and before we paid $500 we asked if there was a rain policy. We were told if we were asked to get out of the pool we come get our combo pass refunded to come back another day. After about 10 mins in Splashtown it begins to rain and are told we must get out of the water and we cannot go on any tall rides in the Amusement Park. We decided that since we had just arrived we should try to get a weather refund right away and come back the next day. As we arrive to the guest services counter we several families trying to get a refund as well. When it was our turn mention that we have been here a little under 20 mins and we would like to come back tomorrow as we where promised by the ticket employee. She then told us since it was just a 10 - 15 min stop that we were not allowed to get a refund. It has now been about 50 mins with the pack up and waiting in line to speak with someone. I mentioned that was not what were promised. After a couple of minutes their office phone rings and the person on the phone said we could get our refund and come back tomorrow. Fantastic!!! We all (23 people) stood in line to get our bracelets cut off and so we could not return to the park that day after receiving the refund vouchers. After get my bracelet removed I realized our refund vouchers were for the water park only, although, we had just paid for an after 3pm combo pass an hour before at this point. I again told the guest service employee that was not what we were promised since we had all just paid for a combo pass upon arrival. We were then approached by a middle aged women with dark hair, leggings and a tank top. At first I didn't think that she worked for the park since most employees were dresses in khakis and polo shirts with the funtown logo. She mentioned she was a manager for the park. I told her the situation and she started yelling at me in front of my family and small children about how we cannot get our refund for the combo and she continually pointed at me screaming and pointed at a printout that was taped to the outside of guest services window. At this point the children in our party were very upset, crying and scared because she was yelling. So embarrassing. I feel as thou we were treated terribly. We had been there less then an hour after all said and done and all we asked was a refund to come back the next day after 3pm and enjoy all they have to offer. What a disappointment. I emailed the corporate office last night and still no response. Not even an apology. Not to mention the $500 that we lost. In the end we all left unhappy and ripped off. So sad that a family tradition had to end like this.
