Fuoriporta House Bar & Suites

Very disappointing experience We stayed at Fuori Porta House for one night, and the experience was far below the standard expected even from a 3-star property. The room had no heating at all — the system simply did not work. Instead, the staff gave us a portable open electric heater, which was clearly unsafe and completely inappropriate for a hotel room. We spent the night cold, uncomfortable and worried about safety. At around 10 PM, we were told we could either – go out and look for another hotel at that hour, or – pack all our luggage and travel across more than half the city to another property they could arrange. Both options were unrealistic and unacceptable at that time of night. In the morning the staff apologized and assured us we would receive proper compensation for the situation. However, once we left, their attitude changed — they began downplaying the issue and refused to honor the compensation they had promised. Overall, the room conditions, the unsafe heating setup, and the way the situation was handled were completely unacceptable. For the price and category, you expect reliability and professionalism — we received neither. I do not recommend this hotel.

This hotel is as close to a home away from home as I have ever been. I love this place and hope to make it back there soon. The staff is wonderful and very helpful (Thank you, Sophie--everyone, really), the location is perfect, and the rooms are comfortable, clean, and well put together. It's beautiful, relaxing, comfortable, and is even a great value. The breakfast is excellent and I appreciated the complimentary drink. Honestly, we travel a lot, and this is my favorite small hotel ever!

We stayed in the suites, which were comfortable and well-equipped, but the highlight is definitely the bar-restaurant. Amazing view, fantastic drinks and food, and incredibly kind and welcoming staff. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Fuoriporta House for 2 nights and had an amazing experience! The location is perfect—just a short walk to the old city center in Bergamo, which made exploring super easy. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. We received a warm welcome and even a complimentary drink, which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was very good with plenty of healthy options, and the coffee was absolutely fantastic! The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend Fuoriporta House to anyone visiting Bergamo and would happily stay again!

I have booked this place in the morning time for little birthday surprise. The staff is really welcoming and friendly . They exactly arranged as I have told them. Perfect location 😍 Thanks a lot for such a nice experience .

A Lovely hotel with fantastic staff. Situated next to the funicular and about a 5 minute stroll to the centre. We were greeted by a lovely helpful young lady, and shown to our room. The room had everything you would need and a mini bar containing snacks and drinks. The bathroom was surrounded by smoked glass, which was very see through when the light was on! This was the only thing I wasn't keen on, maybe it's just us but I dont need to see my husband on the loo! The room was nicely decorated and very peaceful at night. |Breakfast was very nice, mix of cakes, pastries etc... We were given a welcome drink and a mini charcuterie board of snacks. First impressions count and they really excelled. There was a lift to the rooms, and at the end they held onto our luggage until we were ready to leave. We are planning on returning next year, and will definitely stay at this hotel...the staff were amazing.

We had a lovely 3 nights here and Bergamo is well worth a visit .|We stayed in room 13 with small balcony overlooking the street . |Breakfast was good, rooms were clean , staff super friendly.|Lots of restaurants in easy walking distance and old town is 5 minutes stroll..

The house was cozy and staff friendly and flexible! Staff was always there to help you. Rooms were clean. Aircondition didnt work they way we wanted, but it didnt weaken the experience. Food was fresh and delicious. |When we arrived we had welcome drinks. Would recommend this accomodation.
