I really hate giving bad reviews but this is honestly the worst Japanese I’ve ever had and does not do justice to Japanese cooking. I had a look in the kitchen and I couldn’t see any Japanese chefs I think perhaps they started this restaurant and have now moved on. The prices were so high and the food was less than average, overcooked chicken, sauce given to us in a plastic bottle, the only thing that was good was the wine (it is Argentina after all). I really feel sorry for the people of Buenos Aires that this is one of their only options for Japanese food! Also the salmon starter given to us complimentary (in photo) was obviously just a way to use up old salmon, it tasted like cat food, I had one bite and couldn’t eat any more! I’ve been to Japan and there is no way a Japanese person would be happy with the food here, the Japanese food in New Zealand where I’m from is miles better. Don’t waste your money here!

Incredible sushi - honestly very high quality fish. I understand why it’s so expensive, you definitely pay for the quality here. We found the place last minute so we were a bit surprised at the prices at first but truly it was delicious. As someone who has lived in Japan, highly recommend for the sushi. The other dish we tried was the kimchi ramen and that was a bit underwhelming. The review was, “just not that flavorful” but again, we have bias after living in Japan for a few years. As someone with celiac issues - I very much appreciated their celiac menu and considerations. It’s so nice to be able to use gluten free soy sauce!

It was great to finally eat some beautiful Japanese food. We were just about to give up on trying anymore Japanese restaurants in BA and thank goodness we didn’t. Service was great and the ambience embraced the homage japan. We had the day of the week specials and really enjoyed all plates we ate from.

We enjoyed the atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant. The gyoza were particularly delicious. The service was prompt to take our orders and to bring our appetizers and drinks. I will say we waited far too long for the main dishes to arrive. The food was overall quite delicious. I found the restaurant to be relatively pricey, however, this was our first Japanese restaurant experience in Buenos Aires. The service was beyond friendly and courteous.

Best Japanese Restaurant atmosphere with superb service and great food. I had the Katsu Don and my wife had the Furaibo Ramen. Both was delicious and filling. Honpa Hongwanji setting and Obutsudan was abundant.

Fresh fish, simple but delicious Asian food. Some plates a bit expansive, but worth it

For one person ramen and a beer 35cl 41500 pesos. The beer was 12000 pesos. The prices on the menu arent the same like the older one. Dont go there

The food was really great, but you have to like ginger. I also recommend the cold tea and the red berry drink. There is a real temple but it’s really small and doesn’t make that much of a difference. The himms playing were really calming and the atmosphere was very good. Super recommend.

Yelp
Came across this restaurant on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I saw on the reviews that service would be slow and boy were they right. Once we got seated, it took a waiter around 10 minutes to get our order and another 45 minutes for our food to come out. Mind you this place was not busy at all. The food was decent. It didn't blow my mind, but it wasn't too bad. I got the Wakame ramen which was okay. The soup was a little bland and the noodles. I likes the noodles and chashu. My dad got the fried rice and that was okay too. Also was lacking in flavor. I liked the ambiance of the restaurant. There's a lot of Japanese themed decorations. Waiters were friendly. Also read this review with a grain of salt. I'm from Los Angeles so my taste are a little different.

Yelp
Furaibo is located in a former abandoned old temple in downtown Buenos Aries. Eating there with all the interior decorations I gave me the strange feeling I was in some anime movie. I went for lunch and had some ramen and a side dish of cold tofu. The ramen was a little overcooked and the broth was not so tasty. The tofu was mealy and not smooth. I barely ate my food. If Furaibo was an "authentic" Japanese restaurant I can wait to return to Japan or the USA. Much better to eat local instead.

Yelp
Overwhelmed but surprisingly good. This is a surprisingly authentic Japanese place in downtown Buenos Aires. It's got a lot of cool decorations inside, and even has an area with tatami mats (no shoes allowed, of course). The food itself is pretty solid. I had a katsu cutlet on a whim, which I found excellent. The service here is SLOW, so don't come in a rush. This place seems ever so slightly understaffed, such that service will be slow (even though everyone is seemingly working as fast as they can!).

Yelp
Hands down, the coolest restaurant I've been to in Buenos Aires so far. Not only is this place unique in its style and ambiance, but the service is wonderful and the food is out of this world! Reservations, which were recommended in a previous review, can be made easily online. I made one for myself and a friend for a Tuesday night. We ended up being the only ones there, so it wasn't necessary. We had the whole place to ourselves so we sat in the tradtional Japanese area, AKA on pillows on the floor. Pretty cool! Walking in, you'll be amazed at the way this place is decorated. I would go into detail, but you literally just need to see it for yourself. It's unbelievable! The menu is pretty vast, with a good amount of veg options. They also have everything from sushi, to ramen, to kimchi and fried rice. My Porteño friend was a bit leery of ordering since he doesn't eat Japanese food (or anything other than Milanesa and asado, for that matter.) Thankfully, the server (I forget his name, but he was Russian) was very helpful in helping him pick out something that suited his tastes. I ordered a vegetarian version of the same dish, simply because the description on the menu said, "you've never tasted anything like this!!" Boy, were you right, menu. Super crispy fried mushrooms on a bed of shredded lettuce, carrot and cabbage. Riquísimo. Finicky Porteño friend was also moaning in ecstasy over his dish. I was happy. Towards the end of the meal we casually mentioned it was Porteño friend's birthday, and before you knew it, a piece of cheesecake came out with one of those cool sparkly candles! It was a wonderful way to end the night. An easy 5 stars for an incredible experience beginning to end. If you're tired of pizza and asado and looking for a unique dining experience in Buenos Aires, you can bet on Furbaio.

Yelp
Second time to visit this restaurant. Love the environment. Today's Service is great.

Yelp
An expensive place that only takes local cash in 2016 goes backwards in any tendency that would lead to success. It's a big shame.

Yelp
Second time in BA. Love this place. Good ramen, great vibe. Staff is nice and easily accommodating. Luis even remembered me from a year ago! Love it here.
