Furside East Atlanta Pet Grooming

I have been going to FurSide since early 2000’s. I first started going to FurSide with my two standard poodles, Buddha and Cherokee, and now my yorkie Yoda goes there. Mary is the best! She takes great care of the dogs in her care and makes sure they are comfortable. Yoda can be a big baby but Mary manages to settle him down and get him to trust her. The haircuts are always perfect and the price is very reasonable. I highly suggest FurSide for your trusted groomer.

Amazing job! The staff was kind and left me with confidence that my pupmwas in good hands. She looks amazing. Weeks later her cut still looks great. Absolutely worth the wait for an available spot.

First time visit to Furside was great. Izzy got her nails trimmed and a bath. The self service wash area was just what I needed for my big girl. So much easier than doing it at home! We will definitely be back!

The self serve wash is well stocked, easy to use, and the staff was friendly and helpful! We brought our mud covered foster golden doodle here and he came out sparkly clean.

Took a while to get an appointment, but wow it was sooo worth the wait. Going from an American Bulldog to a Shorkie, means less shedding more grooming. The big box grooming salon was fine before, but now not so much. They had my baby looking like a rat. Twice! It was terrible. Furside is just better! They gave Biggie aka Mr. Big the professional salon look. He looks, feels and smells wonderful! They paid attention to detail and his particular features and he looks, well, handsome lol. Daniel and staff were friendly and professional, too.

Mary is fantastic with our dog who has an intense fear of nail clips. Our dog is solid black down to her nails and we have clipped her too closely before. Mary, however, is patient and fearless!

All pet owners have felt the pressure of trying to schedule grooming services for pets.. Covid has had an impact on staffing so availability isn't as open as it once was. To keep my furby fresh and clean between visits I've decided to go to the self-service dog wash now owned and managed by Fur Side. Automated scheduling was easy as pie. Showed up for my appointment and Mary greeted me at the door in PPE. Raised tubs with sprayer mean you don't have to bend over to bath your pooch. There are plastic aprons to keep you dry as possible. The shampoo and conditioner is great and complimentary, along with ear wash. Although I bought my own brushes, there are brushes available for use. Bring your own towels now. It's a safety thing. All in all a great bath away from home. I'll end with this. My Beauregard was freaking out with the sound and feel of the high powered dryer. He dang near killed himself trying to get away from it and I was going to have to leave with a wet poodle. Mary showed absolute mercy and stepped in to help me. I'm not experienced in bathing Beauregard myself so I was not what he wanted or expected. Mary advised and showed me the best way to dry my pooch and make the experience enjoyable for both of us. She gave of her time and herself and we are eternally thankful. P.S. I already had a full service groom scheduled for a future date. This will be Beauregard's first visit to Fur Side.. I'm even happier about this now.

Furside always does a great job. Our pups aren't the easiest when it comes to grooming, but the staff are always welcoming and ask what we would like done. Happy we have a place we can go nearby in EAV that I trust.

New to the area. Read the reviews. Waited a month to get them in...omg....well worth the wait! My pups look amazing! Like, amazing! A suggestion to the owners to perhaps move to a better and safer location though. Love love love your grooming! Thank you. Ti and Mo.

I'm so happy to have found this place. I took my two cats to get their nails trimmed and was in and out in 5 minutes. I was expecting one of my cats to put up a fight as she's been difficult in the past, but Mary was such a pro. I will definitely be back.

I love this place. Went there for my first time with our two new rescue cats to have their nails trimmed and ears cleaned out. Mary, the owner, personally tended to them and was just wonderful and caring. Will go back to this wonderful neighborhood Pet Spa.

Mary, you have a heart of gold. Your compassion and empathy is so present in the work that you do. I've never had a dog who required this level of grooming and one unexpectedly came into my life. Thank you for giving him the spa treatment he so deserved and for providing me with answers to how best to keep him looking spiffy and feeling good in the future!

They do a great job. Mary is professional and fair and she even remembers dogs I brought to her in the past, AND who were rescue/fosters for whom she gave me a significant discount! Great and affordable grooming for all types of pups!

The folks at Furside are the best. They are great with long haired dogs and especially kind with senior dogs. Been taking my boys there for years. As my guys have gotten older Mary is always the first to inquire how they are doing and takes great care with them.

We absolutely love the Furside Pet Spa! Our little labradoodle always comes back looking amazing! You can tell that they really take time to give her a great grooming experience and really take the time to go above a beyond. We also feel like the prices are really fair and we love to support our beloved EAV neighborhood!

Scooter will have your pooch looking like a million bucks. Proof is based on my 1st (of many to come) visit and appointment for my buddy Hounddog, a 27 pound Lhasa Apso mix. And just for the record, - no, I did not name him. The original owner was a huge Elvis fan, hence the name "Hounddog", -and it has stuck with him the last 9+ years I have been so fortunate to have him. :) Anyway, back to the Fur Side in East Atlanta Village. I visited a week prior to scheduling his appointment and liked what I felt as well as what I saw. Mary greeted us, introduced herself to HD, and there was an instant good vibe all around. Very important. Not to mention that I have been attempting to groom him all these years as best to my abilities which really isn't saying much. I have only used scissors. :) Yep. And a couple of days later I utilized the Pet Spa/Baths located in front of this business (in same building) where you can wash your own pet. (a branch of the Pet Supply right next door.) Move forward two weeks(or maybe less) : I bring my little buddy in right at 10am, meet Scooter, the one who will be grooming HD, and feel confident with him as well. Did I mention how picky and cautious I am regarding leaving HD with anyone? Especially a stranger? -it is a fact. So, I am told the earliest will be 3 pm for me to expect a call regarding him being ready, etc. - only to be extra pleased to receive a call by 1pm with news that he is set to go. Fifteen minutes later I am there to pick up just the cutest little doggy ever! Not only could I see his big brown eyes, - but he smelled amazing and his summer cut accentuated his overall handsomeness. Oh, and ears cleaned and nails cut. Not to mention Scooter telling me what a well behaved boy he was. Whew! Indeed. Oh! and they perform the "anal gland express" as part of the whole experience. Your dog should have this done about 2x per year. And this service is Included, -not a separate $15-20- minimum that this will cost at the vet. Bill? $52.00, my total? $62.00 after well deserved tip, thank you. See you in a couple of months, tops!

I really like Fur Side. They do a great job for a reasonable price. As a new dog owner I was a little anxious about trimming his nails. I was at East Atlanta Animal Clinic up the street and decided to take Duke in to check it out. We made an appointment go later that week and I dropped him off. I thought $20 was pretty reasonable for a shampoo, brushing, and nail trim; then they gave me half off his first grooming since he was a rescue. That was a nice touch. We went back this past week and his coat looks great. I really like their low key approach and will continue to use them regularly.

We have been taking our Golden retriever here since we moved to East Atlanta about 3 years ago and won't take her anywhere else. The staff is always professional and nice. Our dog is not a big fan of baths (more specifically hair dryers) so I'm always amazed at how great she looks each visit. I would definitely recommend FurSide in the EAV to anyone with who needs a quality groomer for their four legged friend.

From the first phone call, they were very courteous and informative. My little puppers are skittish but the ladies were patient and calming. The end result is two happily manicured pups that aren't scratching me to death anymore and a return customer...

The Furside is the best!!! Mary and her team are the best I have come across in atlanta! We had been searching for a while for a groomer who could give the services I wanted for my dog. Lo and behold We found Mary and her team and they are amazing!! Been going to them for 2 years now and will continue for the future. Mary is very intuitive, professional and has great prices for grooming!

My pups don't require much but I still like to take them in for a good scrub, nail trimming and a bit of socializing. The staff is AMAZING. Addy doesn't always love going but she's a different lady after getting a bath and her nails done :) I trust few people with my pups. I NEVER EVER worry about my fur babies when they're at FurSide. Carl gets snuggled and Addy seems to quickly forget she hates it once I'm out of sight. As long as we are in Atlanta, as long as I have dogs, my babies won't go anywhere else. They're spoiled and loved on and clean as can be. Thank you all who take care of my babies!

I gave this place 4 stars because I truly had a great experience and I am sure my two pups loved it to. The service is great, I will say the phone could be answered more, but it seems like they only have 1 person on staff at a time so it is not a huge deal since I love supporting small businesses. The price was a bit steep but the cut looked wonderful. I have a pom and a toy poodle. I had the poodle get the works while the pom only got a wash and a cut in the rear, I am not even sure they did the teeth or the glands, but I did not ask either (I just assumed). I will use them again and be sure to ask more questions before bringing the pups to them. Overall I loved the care and work my pets received. I think my only tift would be the pricing, but, again, I did not ask many questions.

This is by far the world's best grooming shop! My sweet little puppy hates going to the groomer, but the ladies at Park Pet Supply make her feel right at home. They go the extra mile to make sure that she is comfortable and happy. They even get dreadlocks out of her hair with care and ease (so she tells me). Believe me, I am picky when it comes to my BFF Miss Sophie Mae, and this place gets an A++ in my book.

I have taken my pitty to the same groomer her whole life and the distance was becoming a hassle. It was a major decision to try the shop up the street from my house because Copper had never been anywhere else. What a pleasant surprise to see Scooter from the other groomer working at Fur Side! I knew immediately it was divine intervention and meant to be. Copper looked and smelled fabulous from her head to her nicely trimmed nails. Thanks for setting my fears aside! :)

Took my Beagle here for a nail trim. It took about 5 minutes, they cut his nails short enough, and it was only $5. Can't fault any of that.

I've only been here once. I was over at Park Pet Supply stressing over getting nail trimmers. I have three pair at home and my little ones, a yorkie and a terrier mix, HATE HATE HATE getting their nails clipped. It also really stresses me out. I asked for advice and the cashier (can't remember his name but he is awesome and extremely helpful) said, "I just take my dogs next door, you should check them out instead!" I went over to Fur side. The two chicks working weren't extremely friendly but it was a Saturday and I was a walk in. She did them both in 5 minutes! I will take Cooper and Courage back over there for grooming I think next. We had a great time walking up there also and it was a great little outting for the family. Please note: Always tip workers in the service industry if you appreciate the work they did for you!!!

I absolutely LOVE the Fur Side. I'm a big fan of the self serve dog bath, but the guy that owns the place is the ONLY person that cn trim my dog's nails. It's only 5 bucks and he's done in a minute or so. My rottie generally struggles and fights anyone else, but she loves this guy. I recommend anyone to check them out. So personable and friendly.

I love this place. My poofy scaredy dog Eggroll hates it and Turkey is annoyed by it. Eggroll hates lots of things which is why we go to the do-it-yourself dog wash. I don't want to make her afraid of me or the bathroom at home so we come here. She also sheds about a pound of soaking wet fur so its nice to not clog my pipes at home. I already have had to go that route with plumbers and stuff...anyway, they have the shampoo, towels, clippers, doggie perfumes, ear washes, etc. all right in the cleaning station. They also have a dryer but it makes Eggroll have a seizure and Turkey just pees herself which negates the bath she just got. This place has a full service groomer too although I have only used it for a nail clipping. Everyone is so nice and helpful too! Go next door to park pet to sign in and then wash away!

Mary is the best! There are not enough stars when you know your pup will be well taken care of. She is a gem in the Village, give her a try you will not be disappointed. It doesn't hurt that there is a store next door to grab a treat or two from.

Brought my Weimaraner here and she came out looking so beautiful and so soft. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

This place was highly recommended for my pup to get his nails trimmed, since he gets really scared of nail clippers. He is super sweet, not in any way aggressive. The owner said she would cut his nails when she was finished with a grooming session for another dog. We waited for a while, and finally she instead directed some assistant to do it instead. The assistant was completely disinterested, offered to just cut them on the floor of the waiting area, and told us to hold the dog ourselves while she cut. After literally trying to grab his paw one time, he pulled away and put his tail between his legs. She jumped up and said "No, sorry, he's getting aggrsive and already tried to bite me!" Absolutely ridiculous. We left immediately, and won't ever bother trying again. A dog groomer should probably hire employees comfortable and capable being around animals. I'll find somewhere else to get my dogs nails clipped.

Mary and Kelly LOVE my dog Rufus. He is older, a bit spoiled and a little skeerdy cat. When I bring him in they beam at him and cuddle him like they have never seen a dog before. What can I say, Rufus loves the ladies and they make him feel as good as he possibly can at the groomers. LOVE, LOVE. LOVE this place.

I have two Pomeranian's and took them to Mary for her loving care for years. We've moved out of the area now, but was back in the Atlanta area for a visit and I thought of Mary and Furside and the great people she has working with her, so decided it was way past time for me to say something about it. One of the main criteria for the new groomer when we moved is how they compared to Mary in handling our babies, me and my husband! Mary doesn't just do an excellent job of grooming your pet, she talks to you about it! Amazing, she actually told us if she saw something we should be concerned about and gave us pointers on in-between grooming appointments. She doesn't just give you a drop off and pick up type of attitude! She has a great grooming skills, gives you information about your pet, a great personality and fair prices for her services, what more could you ask for when someone is taking such care of your pets!! So glad this is right down the street. Mary was extremely friendly and spent time with me and Abby discussing her grooming. Abby came back clean, trimmed, and happy! Will definitely return.
