We stayed at Fusaki Garden Villa for one full month with our one-year-old baby, and it was an unforgettable experience. I was initially quite nervous about traveling with such a young child, but from the very first day this place made us feel completely at ease. The house is absolutely wonderful—beautiful, cozy, and truly baby-safe—with a stunning view and a magical garden (yes, with its own banana tree!).
One of the most incredible and unexpected experiences was the wildlife: in the mornings, peacocks would come into the garden, and for the first time in my life I saw wild peacocks flying. It felt almost unreal and made every morning feel special. The sea of the nearby beach (just 2 min distance on foot) is amazing. There are bright blue, yellow fish and a small anemon with some clown fish!
The villa is perfectly equipped with everything you might need, and whenever something was missing, the owner, Miki, was always there to help immediately. Her kindness went far beyond expectations: she baked muffins for us, helped us with trash disposal, gave precious advice on what to visit on the island, assisted us with renting a car, and even came to see us off at the airport with a thoughtful gift. I have honestly never experienced such warmth and care from an Airbnb host before.
Another huge plus is the two electric bikes provided with the house—it was a joy to explore the island this way, as there are many beautiful places easily reachable by bike. The area around the villa is calm and peaceful, yet very convenient. There is a large hotel nearby with plenty of services whenever you need something.
I’m not sure if we will return, only because Ishigaki is very far from our home—but this place, and the kindness we experienced here, will stay in my heart forever. I cannot recommend Fusaki Garden Villa enough, especially for families with young children.
