Food is decent, depending on the dish. Overpriced, but not outrageously for the area. Service is lacking and unorganized.
I'd skip it for something more dependable, given the price you're paying.
Wagyu was lean, dry, tough, and stringy. I'd skip it. I'm curious what grade it is. Nothing like the A4 or A5 in Japan, which is expected given the price. But nothing near what I'd expect when you advertise it as wagyu.
When we arrived, we didn't see any indication on how seating was handled, so we waited at the front. We were ignored for a while, then finally someone came over. We asked to be seated inside, and she said she'd clear the tables, since there were two tables inside, but just hadn't been cleared from the last customers. One regular table, one high top side-by-side facing the window. So we waited, and no one cleared the tables, and she didn't come back. A second employee came over. Same discussion. She offered the inside tables. We told her we would wait for her to clear the regular table. She advised us to wait at the table outside while they cleared the inside tables, because if someone else sat at that outside table, there'd be no where to sit. ??? Then a third server comes with another couple of customers. The second server tells her she's already talked to us about taking that table. They clear the table and leave without any decision, so the new couple looks around, and just sits down at our table. Servers never come back and fix it, or give an explanation. So we seat ourselves at the high top.
When the server comes to take our order, we order 5 things. All basic off the menu, nothing complicated. She repeats back our order, and gets it wrong. We repeat it, and she leaves. A couple minutes later she comes back, and asks us to repeat our order a third time. 5 things. At a tapas place.
We noticed a few other quirks with the servers. Like standing inside the doorway of the restaurant and yelling to the customers across the walkway at the outdoor seating, rather than just walking 4 meters to talk to them normally. Or walking away from the customer and saying something to them with their back turned.
After the meal, we were ready for the bill. No one looked up at us waving to get attention. We eventually called out to get the attention of someone. She acknowledged our request for the bill. A few minutes later, no bill. The same server was clearing a table. We waved to her again, her face lit up like she forgot, and then she stopped clearing the table and went to the back. Eventually we got the bill.
