Overall, it was a fantastic experience. From the vibe tonight (reggae band) to the food, the adequate service, and this location!!! Wow!! ♡ we spent the perfect Valentine's evening at Fusion. ♡ HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! would definitely visit again. Oh! & the wifi connection is on point! ♡ It's only fair to note a couple of things that upset me: it was Valentine's Day & so at some point of the night, the servers were gifting lovely red roses to the female guests, EXCEPT FOR ME!? I didn't ask because it was strange and embarrassing to do so. So fine, no rose for me. I suppose it's part of the reason why I opted for a lower tip to our server until... she stopped us from leaving at the end of the night to ask for a higher tip! 🤦🏽‍♀️ this was annoying! And absolutely embarrassing since she approached us in front of all the guests & tables. I would have gladly given her more had she brought our leftover bag of food (with two pizzas, basket of fries and leftover falafel wrap - was lots). She had no issue asking for more money but didn't bother to finish providing good service. The last thing I want to note is disappointment about losing my new sun hat that, although it is a minor thing, it still upset me because the last time I saw my hat (seen in one of my photos) was behind my husband's seat when it was still light out & NO ONE bothered to let us know. I understand people steal things all the time, but it's still a terrible feeling to experience. This was on 3 parties: me for nor paying attention to the hat that had fallen behind us, the other guests behind us that didn't care enough to let us know, AND the staff that walked past it likely a hundred times yet no one noticed it!!?? I was quick to inform them and asked them to look for it, to which they replied promptly via whatsapp, but I was told that no one found it! My advice is to keep your belongings close!!

Great ocean front bar and restaurant. Wandered down to the beach from 5th Ave and there was live music playing. Great ambiance, great service, they even handed out blankets when it got cold. I had the margarita pizza. It was delicious. Definitely recommend this place in the evenings if they have live music.

Beach front Bar & Grill with great food and great live music every night. Friendly staff in Spanish and English !! Nice to find healhty options on the menu which is very complete. The Fusion salad is excellent as well as the schrimps ceviche. Try the hummus with onions and pita or brushetta with guacamole. Fire show on the beach every night around 11-11h30 for a few minutes. The only thing missing is a Wi-Fi connection. The kitchen closes at 12h00am. On a clear evening, you can see the moon closer to the ocean and the pan constellation above you !!

Went there for some drinks, loved the cocktails and hummus, staff was super kind and the local cats made it so special and fun, it made you feel like home haha, would recommend to go when there’s live music

Ambience: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Quality: 5/5 Price: 4/5 Upon reaching the end of the under construction street one can tell this is a hidden oasis. Walking from gravel to pristine sand it's a totally different world. Two hostesses await you both of which speak English. You're lead to a perfect seat either at the bar or at a table. Shisha is $350MX one flavor or $400MX Premium both are in high end hookahs. The hookah server provides an individually wrapped mouth piece and brand new hose. Servers make rounds continuously, this is a popular place so staff is allocated properly. Many speak English. Visa/MasterCard accepted (no amex). Drinks are on the higher end thus the 4, but considering the other aspects it's well worth it. Live music, great shisha, happening crowd and live fire show make this the go to for a Friday night. Highly reccomended.

Hello This is a terrible place, the service is disgusting, we ordered a regular hookah, but they didn’t warn us that they only have premium, and not all the flavors that were listed on the menu. The hookah turned out to be terrible, and the quality of the device itself was below par. For the first time in my life, the waiter himself chose the amount of tip when paying, this is very uncivilized. Sorry but I think this is unacceptable During our visit to this place, a man approached us and started asking for money, he approached all the guests This should not be allowed in recreation areas. This man said that he could not talk, but he acted very arrogantly and persistently asked for money. Why am I working, and someone is just blatantly begging?

The view is amazing, they have a fire show and live music band. The chicken fajita were tasty but their hookah is not the best. They have a limited flavors and when I request watermelon flavor I got it with mint which I really hate, they replaced my hookah eventually but the hose picked up the flavor. I believe if you came around sunset it will be the best

Friendly staff and good value. Stayed near here for a couple of days and had the Shakshuka and ice latte. Best breakfast we've had in Mexico so far on this trip.

Finally made it to Fusion!!! Came here the other night and Mar was my server and she was fabulous and super nice!!! Thank you Mar for making my first time at Fusion so wonderful. Also shout out to whoever the bartender that night was because I got a very good buzz. I had 4-5 drinks at other restaurants before and barely got a buzz but I drank 4-5 drinks at Fusion and got an amazing buzz!!! I love alcohol!!! I got a dirty monkey and a couple maracuya mojitos to drink and I got chicken nachos to eat. The nachos were huge and very good!!!  I really enjoyed the ambiance and music they played at Fusion. I will definitely be back!!!

Had a discount for breakfast from Aloha Paddle Club next door, I thought the food was really good. Service very friendly. Right on the beach.

Service was the best, the ambiance is so relaxing. The food is on average $12-20 a person plus drinks. Not bad to be on the beach.

Good view of the water with decent service. Sadly, their food is a disaster. Horrible and I mean horrible fried fish tacos. Tasteless, days old, and loaded with, get this....tons of grilled red & green bell peppers. Hey, folks, I didn't order a Philly Cheesesteak. Best advice....go to another beach bar / restaurant. Zenzi, Lido, heck eat a handful of sand...it will be better than this place. Oh yeah, they are more expensive than the other spots too. My 2 pesos Greg T.

I found Fusion on TripAdvisor! This is the place to be on vacation in Playa de Carmen, if you want excellent drinks, food and a chill vibe, then you got to be here. The staff is super friendly and the boss is around to ensure his customers are provided the best service possible. The food took about longer than expected but why the rush?!?! You are on vacation Bro! Enjoy the beach life. I highly recommend their spicy margarita!

Great food and music right by the beach. The ambience was just amazing. Best to go in the evening.

Beach front dining! My first meal in town and it was exactly what I needed. We ordered a michelada, shrimp ceviche, and shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were incredibly plump and fresh. Their green salsa is clutch! Prices were reasonable and we had more than enough food.

Simply put, Fusion was amazing! You had me at beachfront and kept me at Hookah! Not sure how you could go wrong here because we sure didn't, stumbling upon this beachfront gem. As this area is built for it, we were on foot perusing the scene. We came to this little beachfront joint and sat down at a table for eight. We shared a hookah and ordered several drinks and some food from entrees to apps. I was amazed to see the food is cooked off site but the speed and preciseness in which they go from offsite to the actual restaurant, all while keeping the food still hot and fresh, was simply astounding. Service was spot on and we enjoyed a wonderful evening with a view second to none and a vibe that was truly on point. Five stars all the way!

The service and food at this place is mediocre, with inconsistent breakfast timings and waitresses seemingly favoring certain customers. They avoided us when we wanted more drinks, delayed providing the bill, and attempted to keep our change as mandatory tips, which we found excessive and unreasonable! DO NOT PAY CASH if you don't want to be robbed! When we spoke to the manager, they initially insisted on the tips but eventually, after we explained our frustration not being able to order and chasing for bill, he agreed to return half of the money. This experience is unacceptable and discourages us from returning. Tips should be earned through great service, not enforced.

Our first time in Playa del Carmen and we didn't know what to expect. We talked the beach this morning scouting out places to spend the day. We met Nadia and she suggested just having a drink here to try it out. We then did the same at our other top option and chose Fusion. The prices are decent. The beach chairs get taken away at 4 so I'm currently sitting in a hammock a bit further back. I'm looking forward to the live music and fire shows later tonight. Shout out to Natalio (sp?) and Nadia. The owner was just a even around helping!

My favorite beach spot in Playa, hands down. This place is a vibe in and of itself. I've come several times now and I nor any of my company had any complaints. This is what you want to experience while visiting the Mexican Riviera. Do yourself a favor and grab a table on the beach before the sun goes down because it seems the place changes for better. The best seats are beachfront and maybe 15 feet from the ocean. Aside from the amazing ambience with the lanterns etc., they have a fire show on the beach. Not sure if Fusion puts this on or it is local entertainers but they seem to be there every night. If you are familiar with the service in Mexico it is usually not up to par. The service at Fusion is very good compared to most. If you like Hookah...they have it. Usually do not indulge. Great location to enjoy if you do. Also puts a great smell in the air adding to the experience here. Live music! Full Bar. You should find whatever you're seeking to drink and they make them well. Cold beers and a decent selection of tequila. Most importantly.....the food! Fried fish tacos, shrimp tacos and more tacos!!! Crevice. Guacamole & chips. I usually stick to the seafood especially here but they do have a variety. Burgers, hummus, even pizza which was made pretty well (coming from a NYer). Everything is great that I have tried and whatever I have not tried looked amazing. Let me add that the prices are very reasonable. I love how there iis no rush here. You're here for a good time, beach, food & drinks. They'll let you enjoy. P.S. If your a fan of Tabasco sauce, this may be the only place in town that has.

Ask for william. He is on point, food is on point and reasonably priced. The location is across from thompson hotel, theyre remodeling their beach location. Ceviche is money. So is grilled octopus

The BEST beach atmosphere in Playa Del Carmen. Great food, amazing drinks, live music and DJs daily, and the hookah is very good too! I come here 2-3 times per week because it's so amazing! Beautiful servers and host too

The service here took forever! We got a great seat right up front which was perfect when the fire show started. That was a nice surprise because we didn't know there was a show. The drinks order was taken but it seemed forever for them to bring two drinks. One was a beer and the other a simple cocktail. The beer was cold and the drink was tasty but the service was slow. We should have asked for the check right away because that took a bit of time also. Other than the service time, the ambience was good and didn't eat so no comments on that.

Loved this place. Great for a nice lunch on the beach. We were seated quickly and ordered right away. The margaritas are amazing and so the job. The ceviche was very filling and had lots of juicy shrimp. My husband and I shared a burger and fries, and loved it with the roja sauce on it. Even better, we were able to take a dip in the ocean steps away to cool off from the sun. Would definitely come back!

We stayed at Luna Encantada right on the beach in Playa del Carmen. However, the property is condos, so there is no bar or restaurant on site. No te preocupes (don't worry), on either side there are two places to drink and eat right on the beach: Fusion is one of them. To start, we had a Michelada (60 pesos - 17.75 exchange rate), and a Victoria (40 pesos). Both were refreshing, and ridiculously inexpensive: 4 Stars. For meriendas (snacks) we had the ceviche de camarones (210 pesos), sandwich de pollo y papas fritas (140 pesos), and nachos (100 pesos - no pic) First of all, the ceviche was very good. The limes made it nice and tart, the shrimp was very fresh, and it went well w/ the thick tortilla chips. Secondarily, the sandwich was big and tasty w/ the avocado inside. My cousin only finished half. Lastly, the portion of nachos was huge for the price. The guac was on the side and very good: All 4 Stars. Regarding the ambiance, its stellar. Nothing beats a drink or snack right on the beach. Most of the clients were locals. The low sitting Adirondack chairs added to the chill vibe: 5 Stars. On the other hand, the service was leisurely to say the very least. It was so leisurely, I had to ask where our food was, only to recall we were in a very laid back place. The waiters and waitresses were super nice and boxed up the sobras (leftovers) for us: 4 Stars. Fusion is a nice chill place to jump in the ocean, and relax & have a drink later. I visited several times while I was here.

Fusion was just OK. The food was meh here but they are getting 3 stars because of the great service and the atmosphere. Our food (enchiladas and tacos) came out and was flavorless so we ended up just ordering French fries and pizza instead. It was very nice to watch the sunset here. I'd say skip the food and go for the awesome sunset, live band and drinks!

I am giving this place three stars only because of the perfect location and views it has from the beach front where it is. The service from our waitress was very bad, not only was she extremely slow but she kept getting our orders wrong. Almost seemed like she wasn't even paying attention or was on something. The drinks were watered down and not very tasty but as long as it took to get the drink I wasn't going to complain just to have to wait another 20 minutes just for a drink. The food was just ok and thats that we were starving since we didn't eat all day. They do have a live band playing there which was nice with the great views. This place could be a gold mine if they would put more effort into there service and better food.

Came here for lunch and would not recommend it. Food was bland, drinks were watered down and took forever to bring out. Once we got our food, nobody came by to ask if we needed anything else. Our cups were empty. Never saw our waiter again. I had to flag down someone else to bring the bill. We sat and waited awhile to get our change back. The waitress comes back with our change and tells me that we should leave a tip because that's how they get paid, well next time do your job and you'll get tipped well. Not coming back.

Amazing location on the beach, great for hookah, drinks and appetizers or a meal! We get the love69 hookah, and I recommend the Coco Loco (fresh coconut with liquor of your choice- I get Don Julio 70) Food is good but not their forté We ordered: Wings Ocean pizza Aiolioli pasta Caprese salad Reasonable prices especially considering the location.

Solid place but the high light is the nightly fire show. At 9:30 and 11 every night. Don't miss it

The most romantic meal of our lives. Feet in the sand with candlelight, live music, fire show, and fantastic food and drinks

Waitstaff was nice and there was a cool fire show but the drinks were like water and icy. Was not a fan of the pina colada it had a strange artificial taste. We went to INTI and their pina colada also had a similar taste. I'm not sure if it's the water or the ice.

Nice place to have drinks on the beach and listen to live music. The hotel is being rebuilt so they use an outhouse for the guests. Music is nice. Drinks are pretty good. Watch out for the wind it might blow your money away. Last night the power went out but fusion already had candles and lanterns on the tables so they were prepared.

I've been here many times, the location is hard to beat, right on the beach and front of the water. The bartenders and manager (maybe owner) have always been super nice, I usually just sit by the bar as the table service can be slow. Overall great spot to enjoy drinks and some live music (fire show a plus).

My girlfriend and I came here just for the Fire Show. We luckily had seats on the beach right at the very front. Fusion gets perfect scores because their staff seemed the most humble and fun out of all the beach lounges we visited during our stay at Playa Del Carmen. These waitresses did not have a pretentious bone in their body; very welcoming. They even poured some liquor into our mouths, for free! We ordered a couple of beers and a plate of salmon & rice (food was okay). The fire show began around 11pm for those of you who are wondering. Seriously, what's more memorable than a fire show right on the beach in a tropical paradise am I right? Amazing vibes at Fusion; I'd definitely return here on my next visit.

Beautiful place loved it there. But shitty service and workers. I went there for my birthday. And tell me why the workers drank on the job and my alcohol. My boyfriend and I left for the restroom and our beer bucket was gone and I saw my server drinking my drinks... then he had the audacity to ask me for a better tip because he has to share them with his co workers. He said my tip was too little. He kept following me and my boyfriend the whole night. I spoke to the manager and let them know. And I had pictures of them drinking on the job and harassing me and my boyfriend. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I don't recommend this place.

Fantastic food and service. Had a wait for tables so they let us sit near the bar until A table opened up. The hostess was very kind and made sure to check in on us. The food was impeccable and so were the drinks. And the fire show was jaw dropping. All very kind staff and low wait times for food. Would recommend 100%

The bar is right on the beach so it has a nice view to drink and eat. I was referred to go here and to drop a name for a 15% discount off the check. Before i sat down, I asked the waitress about it and she said they honor it. However, as I was getting ready to pay, apparently it's not being honored "this week". I was upset because I had asked before sitting down. The waitress just shrugged. I spoke to the manager about it and he said the same thing. That's not how a business should run. That's why i asked for clarification. It's about the principle, not the money. Shady!

I can't even begin to tell you what a treat this place is. Located on the beach, this is a great place to come and appreciate Playa del Carmen. The sunset view may be one of the most romantic I've ever seen. The food is great.. Get the arrachera steak fajitas. They have great reggae bands playing and of course the service is super. A must visit

Not for the service, didn't have food but for the ambience at night (never been during day). Right on the beach, cool gas lamps and wooden beach chairs in the sand. Acoustic guitar playing old US rock hits. No better place to have a cocktail on the beach. Would have been 5 star but the drinks took forever, even by Mexican standards.

This place is open right on the beach. FRAUD ALERT! They will rip off your credit or debit card right from under your nose. Then if you talk to the owner he will call you a liar! Be warned!!

Bottom Line: Get the beach/restaurant/resort experience without actually having to be apart of a resort. Sit right on the beach for a great view, and enjoy decently priced food & cocktails. There's also a fire show at night around 11pm! :) Atmosphere : 5/5 I LOVE the atmosphere here. I returned a couple of times simply because I did not stay in a resort, but still wanted that relaxing beachy vibe sometimes. Come at night because they have a pretty skilled fire dancer that will light up your night. Everyone is pretty quiet in their own zones. Nice to sit down and take a drink. Food: 3.5/5 The food here is okay! It wasn't crazy quality, but it definitely was enjoyable. They also have some items that are lower priced that you can share- especially if you go here for you late night/after dinner festivities. Service: Everyone was extremely nice and helpful! Definitely add this place to your list of places to hit while in Playa!

Great view! Fucking horrible service. My shoes were stolen from right behind me.I am usually aware of my surroundings, I didn't see anyone sitting behind me, besides an older couple. The only younger women that might've taken a size 7 women's pair of cute pink sandals, would've been the staff (all women). If you go here, keep your belongings IN FRONT OF YOU or in sight at all times. I had to walk barefoot into the shops to buy a pair of flip flops.

Be very careful of this place. He added tip to the bill. Didn't want to hand me a bill. I normally tip very well, but not after getting ripped off. I probably would have gone here everyday since it's close to my hotel. Won't be back. I hate being ripped off.

By far my favorite Restaurant and Bar on the beach. This place is a true Caribbean Beach toes in the sand kind of bar. Great drinks and food, fair prices as well. Plus Aloha Paddle Club operates out of there so you can rent paddle boards. Live music daily and a fire show at I think 11pm nightly for free.

Didn't think I would spend one precious evening of my company vacation in one place, but sure enough our experience at Fusion was a fantastic surprise! Pros: Location Right on the beach, and conveniently located from the Cozumel ferry/cruise boat dock, perfect for people who have just arrived and are hungry! You can't mistake it for anything else. It looks like a great lounge/place to chill on the beach, with a decent DJ and live band. If you come early enough, and the weather is good, make sure you get one of the few rows on the shoreline to enjoy the view. Not a lot of foot traffic goes through here (as opposed to other parts of the beach) so you really get the feeling you are someplace picturesque. I could have stayed here all night going through bottles of wine and the excellent appetizers. Food: If you are patient (cooking staff and server ladies are slow) the food is worth the wait. Some really remarkable dishes, especially the chicken. *** Skip the fish. Despite being a town on the beach, Playa del Carmen has crappy fillets. Try the local food. Do not try the American/Canadian dishes (like the steak or whatnot). You didn't come all this way for a taste of home. Alchohol, when done right here, is strong, so pace yourself. Cons: - Servers have not been trained to deal with HUNGRY people, so please be patient. - They also take their time getting your money back to you. Sometimes that's a good thing, as it makes you change your mind to enjoy one more drink and stay a little longer (unless you have other places to be). - Bar staff SUCKS at making any decent cocktail. Mai Tai tasted like fruit juice from a plastic bottle mixed with rum, Apple Martini tasted like a lemon margarita with an apple placed outside, just to appear like an apple martini.

Amazing food!! Great atmosphere!! We ate there last night. Taking an evening stroll on the beach we stumbled on this gem. It was Lit up with little fire pits and lanterns on all the tables and had a band up on stage playing some relaxing reggae music. It was small and very romantic.. we ate by lantern light while my 4 year old danced in the sand to the music. Our waitress even brought my wife a blanket to wrap up in while we watched the band. We were done with our meal which was amazing and about to leave when a fire dancer starts performing at the waters edge. So we sat back down ordered a cervesa and enjoyed the show. What a perfect night!

Fusion is located RIGHT at the beach - and who doesn't like sipping cocktails/coronas with their toes in the sand - listening to the waves? This is also the perfect place to eat a light dinner, where you just get a bunch of smaller dishes (starters) and share. Especially the aguachile tostadas are DELISH! The shrimp is so fresh and they are just as spicy as I like them. They are 35 pesos per piece which I find quite cheap. They also have great guacamole. If you go in the evening there's sometimes a live band. It's just so nice to sit outside in the dimmed lights eating and relaxing! The service is fine, nothing to rave about, but they were polite, nice and didn't forget us at any point.

I was thrilled to find Fusion. Their bar and restaurant is right on the beach. It's has a great vibe and it's well run. We camped out there drinking cerveza and smoking a cigar until the sun began to set. They had a live band and at night I understand they have fire dancers.

Free daily fire show at 10pm on the beach. So best to get a table on the beach for best viewing. Each night is a slightly different show performed by the same group. They also have a live band playing good music. When we went they played songs by The Cure and Keane. Packed on weekends as you can imagine. You don't have to drink or eat to see the show. You can just view it from the public beach. The first night we did that on a weekend because there were no outside tables. The second time was Monday evenings which we arrived at 9:55pm and was able to get a front row table. We just ordered a mojito and a margarita. Both were 90 pesos, reasonably priced but very weak. Service was friendly, great atmosphere. Come for the fire show and live music, stay away from the cocktails.

Great beach restaurant! The best quesadillas I tried in playa del carmen (and trust me, I tried a lot) we went for breakfast and the chilaquiles were amazing, super tasty! We also went for some quesadillas and beers during the evening and the ambience was super cool, they have a really good argentine band playing hits, low tables with candles looking at the sea. It was magic! The only thing is that they are a bit slow with the food and drinks so if you are in a hurry consider some place else, if you are chilling (hey! We are talking about vacations so you probably are) just sit and relax watching a beautiful sunset here

A really awesome nighttime lounge right on the beach with amazing views and a brief 10 min fire dance show. Their drinks are reasonable and the ambiance is amazing. Live music! Their food is not the greatest though. They take credit card at night and cash only during the day.

This is my favorite spot! Great music right on the beach. Great food and drinks seats in the sand and so close to the ocean.
