Amazing open air restaurant and the simplicity and coziness is matched by a varied menu. Guest had lamb burgers which was great to the home made ravioli with no complaints at all.. I enjoyed the best mushroom risotto and added chicken it’s the best I’ve had anywhere in the world. Don’t skip the homemade ginger soda

My husband and I had a delicious meal with excellent service during our visit. Our server was accommodating and took great care to ensure we had a fantastic first meal in Kigali. The menu is unique and full of interesting flavor combinations. We opted to start with risotto balls and pasta dishes each for our entree. We then shared the lemongrass panna cotta (which was refreshing and flavorful) and sampled some banana beer and homemade Ginger ale. Service is top notch and we were even provided complementary tasting spoonfuls from the chef and warm, eucalyptus infused towels to wash our hands before the meal. The outdoor dining, interior design and general ambiance is excellent. Don’t miss this foodie gem in your quest for a great dinner in Kigali!

We had a really nice dinner here while staying at the Retreat. It was because of a heavy downpour that we decided to stay at the hotel for dinner and we sat by the pool under shelter. Our waiter Patrice was so nice and very helpful. We had a lovely time chatting with him and the service and food was delightful.

Good service, nice decor, relaxing environment, next to pool and different seating choices. Food was ok. The waiter was soft spoken so I couldn't hear him well. Creamy soup was good but tiny serving. The salad was weirdly decorated, confusing to eat and no idea what mixes with what but does play with many parts of your taste buds. The duck was decent, sauce does not help with the duck flavour and the duck didn't have enough fats to properly flavour the meat but it was tender enough for the most part. Price is above average.

Spectacular restaurant with amazing architecture. I love the interior design and the blend of wood and earth. The restaurant overlooks a pool and the music was just perfect blend of old African hits! The food is amazingly delicious and perfectly complements the architecture.

The staff were very friendly and attentive and the setting is beautiful. Very peaceful. However, the pasta main course was a very small portion for almost 20USD. I left feeling very hungry still and I had to order room service back at my hotel!

The best, if not one of the best restaurants in Kigali. Reasonable prices and superb food. Service was fast and staff was courteous. Nice decor and quiet setting. Worth a visit.
