5 Jamaica Drinks to Try

"A Jamaican grapefruit soda with bright, tart citrus notes often used as a mixer to mellow strong local rums; its effervescence and zesty flavor pair well with overproof spirits." - Peter Jon Lindberg

Tacoma is a city that doesn't run from its past. Even the parts it's not very proud of. This is a touching monument to those who will dive into the history. For the weekend stroller, it is a beautiful park with its stunning authentic pagoda and bridge. Kayaking under that bridge is still one of the most magical things I've done in Tacoma.

Great park at the end off the Ruston Way Path. Build in partnership with Tacoma's Chinese sister city of Fuzhou it documents a troubled time in the city's past. Since I have been to Fuzhou several times I was interested in visiting here. There is a nice pagoda structure and the bridge over a small inlet is nice. The park design is fair simple but very well done. An enjoyable place to take the family.

This is a beautiful park and worth the traffic on nicer days. I've been many times and there's plenty of parking in the area. Within walking distance of many local restaurants and you can walk down the entire waterfront.

One of my favorite spots in all of Tacoma. If you need a quiet, and relaxing place to think or sit and look across the gorgeous Commencement Bay, this park is for you.

It was a lot nicer before it was vandalized. The gardens surrounding are beautiful and the walk is a historical reminder of where Tacoma has been for immigrants from Asia.
